I went to Mad for Chicken at Astoria to grab a quick bite. The store, although it is on the smaller side, was very nice and cozy. When it came to me and my friend's experience, not only was the food delicious but the service was great as well. The servers were very diligent and made sure to check up on me. I will definitely be back when I am around the neighborhood again.

Best halal Korean fried chicken I've had in nyc!!The chicken was so tender it was almost melting off the bones. At the same time, the coating of the chicken was so crispy, had the best crunch ever. Their fries were also really good! 10/10 would definitely visit again

Ok... I will start with the food. It did not disappoint. I'm talking finger licking good. Everything we order was fresh and delicious. The service was great, and I have walked past this place numerous times. Today was the day. Today we had Servas as our server he was wonderful. He went over the menu with us and let us try the additional sauces. However they were spicy for me. They have plenty of seating for you to sit down and enjoy yourself. The drinks are great along with a fantastic happy hour menu.

Crispy Chicken Bowl & wings combo

Was excited to go since the food is halal now. We got a combo ($12ish) 5 wings (garlic soy) with 1 side (fries), Parmesan truffle fries which comes with ketchup & spicy mayo ($11), crispy chicken bowl ($15). The soy garlic sauce cuda been stronger. The wings & the Parmesan truffle fries were too crispy for me. The fries were def over cooked. Was disappointed in these 2 dishes. The plain fries were better since they were less overcooked. I liked the chicken in the bowl better than the wings. I despise raw cabbage, unless it's kimchi, so I didn't like that the chicken bowl contained raw cabbage. The selections of veggies cuda been better. Can't say I'd like to go back.

I enjoy going to Astoria Mad For chicken, is smaller than the normals ones but I feel that makes it more cozy! We had a flight of Soju for $20 which was really good deal! The food was delicious as always and I feel the location, central astoria, makes this location great! The bartender was the main server which in some sort of way is easier cause he is very attentive to what we want !

Last Saturday I stopped by to try the brunch menu and the bottomless I was sold by the bulgogi eggs Benedict unfortunately I was not explained eggs weren't served pouched so I got what literally was two hard boiled eggs I put the eggs aside for my server to noticed I wasn't happy but he didn't realize until much much later When asked me what was wrong I mentioned I don't eat hard egg yolk I didn't get an answer back other than oh okay Nor was I offered to get new eggs I work in the industry so I know the protocol.

The food here is full of flavor. The fries are perfectly crisp and tasty, they don't even need sauce, and that's how you know a fry is good. The kimchi chicken sandwich was very flavorful. My friend ordered the bulgogi bowl with crispy chicken and she enjoyed every bite. We also got complimentary popcorn.

My wife had brought home some mad for chicken the other night. She got me some honey barbecue wings along with there mango habanero wings. My first bite was the mango habanero wings. I said these are good. The sweet mango taste with the spicyness of the habanero sauce, goes great together, nice mixture. I also enjoyed the honey barbecue wings as well. I would order from them again in the future.

Hans gave me and my husband such a great experience for our lunch date! Excellent drinks and food, and his service was exceptional!

Mad For Chicken was probably the first Korean fried chicken joint to open, and going here again gave me flashbacks to when I used to love this OG chain. This store in particular transformed into a typical bar and finger foods spot, with sports games playing in the background. And when did they have a cartoon spiked hair kid as their logo? They even gave complimentary popcorn, which kind of tasted like curry. I don't remember which Drumsticks & Wings w/ Half & Half Sauce Combo we got, but whatever we got had both THICC drumsticks yet also the smallest teeniest drumsticks. I wish the pieces were cohesive, because it felt like a scam eating such tiny drumsticks. How to share if one person gets a small and someone gets a large piece? But the meat was juicy and the flavor of the Soy Garlic was perfect with a delicious glaze that confirmed why I chose this once as my fave KFC spot. The Parmesan Truffle Fries ($11) was addicting, offering both spicy mayo and ketchup. They were perfectly crispy with a noticeable amount of truffle flavor. The Tteokbokki ($12) was also standard. It had a decent amount of spice. The rice cakes were nice and chewy. There wasn't a lot in this dish though. Aside from the minuscule drumsticks, the meal here was great and suitable for whenever you're looking for something quick and easy in the area.

The inside has a very homey type of feel to it and the staff are always very nice and attentive. My absolute favorite dish has to be the spicy pork bbq! Sooo delicious and I love that their side dishes are always changing depending on the day. Their overall lunch menu is also really good for the price ($19) and you get so much food. I'm always left wanting more. I guess I will just have to wait till my next trip to NYC to eat at my favorite restaurant again. So sad...

The first thing I noticed was the plates. I actually looked them up hoping to buy them but they're custom made for the restaurant and feature their own logo. Sad!! The banchan was excellent, especially the kimchi. It was very fresh and was one of the highlights of the meal. What I liked most about the food overall was how clean everything tasted. Nothing felt greasy, heavy or too salty. The flavors were balanced and very comforting. We ordered the pork bossam, kimchi pancake, and chicken kalguksu. The pork was tender and had a clean flavor that really let the quality of the meat come out. The kimchi pancake was topped with a poached egg which was interesting.... Personally, the poached egg addition wasn't really for me, but my friend loved it. The pancake itself was crispy flavorful. The chicken kalguksu was exactly what I want when I'm craving comforting and warm food at 11 PM after watching a musical. The broth was light but flavorful, and the noodles had a good chew. It felt homemade!! The ambience was very very cozy and nice. The interior is warm and cozy and intimate, it's great for a night with friends, or even a date night!! I love any spot with soft lighting. Even late at night, the restaurant felt relaxed and inviting. Service was also great. The food came out quickly, and every staff member that came to our table was very friendly.

The army stew was not only flavorful but also had a bunch of toppings inside. The servers were super attentive and even asked us if we wanted our hot pot to be reheated once it sat for a while as we chatted. That being said, I do want to point out that I believe this place is more suited for a bigger group of people. My friend and I enjoyed everything about the meal however, the hot pot was huge and we finished only like 1/4 of it and ordering the meats was a little weird. I am use to going to KBBQ where they tell me that the minimum meat orders is 2 but here, you must at least have two orders of any meat you choose. We both wanted the marinated short ribs with pork belly but ended up with two orders of the marinated short ribs because we were more in the mood for something marinated.
