100% halal menu at the Astoria location!!!! Yayyyy. You're started off with complimentary popcorn that's seasoned with what might be curry powder. I typically hate popcorn because it gets stuck in my teeth but this one did not have that issue which was greaaaat. Portion sizes are excellent for the bowls. Got a bulgogi bowl and it came with white rice, carrots, glass noodles, plenty of bulgogi and a sunnyside up egg in a hot stone bowl that kept the food warm for most of the duration I was eating. Also tried the nachos which were huge and loaded with beef chilli, corn, sauces, and guacamole. Happy hour is from 3-7 on weeknights and the 5 dollar price for wings and tenders is unbeatable. There is also a bathroom available. Service was super friendly. Would definitely come back for the all you can eat!

A fun lunch date, really enjoyed the Kim chi dumplings and Parmesan truffle fries were amazing, so crispy! Tried the soy garlic and spicy version, omg it was super spicy! I would opt out to try regular version with no sauce next time. Server was super friendly and [[HIGHLIGHT]]atmosphere was nice with bar and TVs, fun vibes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I went to Mad for Chicken at Astoria to grab a quick bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store, although it is on the smaller side, was very nice and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When it came to me and my friend's experience, not only was the food delicious but the service was great as well. The servers were very diligent and made sure to check up on me. I will definitely be back when I am around the neighborhood again.

Best halal Korean fried chicken I've had in nyc!!The chicken was so tender it was almost melting off the bones. At the same time, the coating of the chicken was so crispy, had the best crunch ever. Their fries were also really good! 10/10 would definitely visit again

Ok... I will start with the food. It did not disappoint. I'm talking finger licking good. Everything we order was fresh and delicious. The service was great, and I have walked past this place numerous times. Today was the day. Today we had Servas as our server he was wonderful. He went over the menu with us and let us try the additional sauces. However they were spicy for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of seating for you to sit down and enjoy yourself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The drinks are great along with a fantastic happy hour menu.

Crispy Chicken Bowl & wings combo

Was excited to go since the food is halal now. We got a combo ($12ish) 5 wings (garlic soy) with 1 side (fries), Parmesan truffle fries which comes with ketchup & spicy mayo ($11), crispy chicken bowl ($15). The soy garlic sauce cuda been stronger. The wings & the Parmesan truffle fries were too crispy for me. The fries were def over cooked. Was disappointed in these 2 dishes. The plain fries were better since they were less overcooked. I liked the chicken in the bowl better than the wings. I despise raw cabbage, unless it's kimchi, so I didn't like that the chicken bowl contained raw cabbage. The selections of veggies cuda been better. Can't say I'd like to go back.

Service was great very nice guys, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance was giving had sports on which we wanted to see the game too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved it def go again for some great Korean fried chicken !

I enjoy going to Astoria Mad For chicken, is smaller than the normals ones but I feel that makes it more cozy! We had a flight of Soju for $20 which was really good deal! The food was delicious as always and I feel the location, central astoria, makes this location great! The bartender was the main server which in some sort of way is easier cause he is very attentive to what we want !

Last Saturday I stopped by to try the brunch menu and the bottomless I was sold by the bulgogi eggs Benedict unfortunately I was not explained eggs weren't served pouched so I got what literally was two hard boiled eggs I put the eggs aside for my server to noticed I wasn't happy but he didn't realize until much much later When asked me what was wrong I mentioned I don't eat hard egg yolk I didn't get an answer back other than oh okay Nor was I offered to get new eggs I work in the industry so I know the protocol.

The food here is full of flavor. The fries are perfectly crisp and tasty, they don't even need sauce, and that's how you know a fry is good. The kimchi chicken sandwich was very flavorful. My friend ordered the bulgogi bowl with crispy chicken and she enjoyed every bite. We also got complimentary popcorn.

My wife had brought home some mad for chicken the other night. She got me some honey barbecue wings along with there mango habanero wings. My first bite was the mango habanero wings. I said these are good. The sweet mango taste with the spicyness of the habanero sauce, goes great together, nice mixture. I also enjoyed the honey barbecue wings as well. I would order from them again in the future.

I went here a while back to order lunch for takeout, and it was pretty good. After they opened, they added some specials ranging from $15 to $17, combining chicken with fries or dumplings, and I went with the sweet and spicy boneless chicken with standard fries, as you can also update the fries to the "spicy snow" version for an extra $1. The cashier was friendly. The sweet and spicy chicken is their version of Yangnyeom/양념치킨, and the combo came with a few moderately sized pieces. The breading was crispy, and the chicken inside was pretty tender. There was some sweetness, and it had a mild kick, though it wasn't as spicy as I prefer. The fries inside were OK. They had a good crisp to them and a good crunch, but needed a tad more salt. The fry portion was also much larger, so next time, I would just stick with the chicken. The free kimchi was standard and decent. This was a perfectly decent Korean chicken spot. If it were any closer to a Korean neighborhood, I doubt it would be doing well, but there is a distinct lack of Korean places nearby outside of the primarily takeout spot, which doesn't specialize at all in chicken. It fills a niche, and I would likely at some point stop in again to try their Korean chicken sandwich or their plain chicken to try more of their sauces.

Neat, fun spot for some good food in Sunnyside!…read more For anyone like me who isn't great at reading restaurant/bar descriptors, this place isn't *just* a bar, nor is it *just* a restaurant - it's a bit of both. Cozy but not cramped, cute little spot that's great for Summer relaxed vibes and munchies. They're specialized in Latino food and drink. They apparently have a whole flight of Margaritas and/or Mojitos to sample - I'd love to try one sometime, however yesterday I stuck with a regular Margarita and was pretty pleased. Clearly made in-house, none of the store-bought drink mixes or anything involved. My mom and I split a few appetizers between the two of us and were quite full, even had some food to bring home. Went with the birria tacos (solid), a trio of other tacos (steak + chicken + pork), and a plate of fried plantains with beef and mushrooms that was really fun - first time we'd had that, glad the waitress talked us into it. Everything came with home-made guac as well. They have a full bar with quite the selection of drinks, lots of Happy Hour specials up on the walls, and a solid, straightforward menu of additional appetizers and also burgers and sandwiches. The staff are super nice and upbeat. My Ma was buying, and I believe she spent about $85 for 3+ appetizers and a drink. Not exactly cheap but it you think of it more as a filling and fairly tasty lunch for 2, roughly $40 each - it's not bad at all. Will definitely come back and give that flight of Margs a try!
