    I didn't think so !!!

My Review is solely based on their chicken tenders... Rokstar ??? I don't think so..... I finally hit this chicken spot this Friday night 6/13/25 Around 7:pm; I work in the area and have been passing this spot for some time now... FYI; Its not a store front / brick & mortar its set up like a concession in the parking lot of Food Bazar super market... A very nice & clean set up & there is plenty of parking... The Young lady at the widow was very polite & walked me thru their menu... I order a 6pc chicken tenders With their soy garlic sauce ion the side @ 17.99 1st; My tenders were not so tender in fact mine were tuff to chew... 2nd; The Breading; for me it was very bland no seasoning; FYI, I opted for my sauce on the side Soy Garlic Bbq ....... Also my breading on my tenders was falling off and mind you I ate them in the parking lot as soon as they were ready so we can't blame it on the steam from the bag.... I wanted to so Like this Korean chicken spot especially after reading all the positive reviews but for me, it was just ok ..... Would I return again? Yea maybe if I'm passing by & extremely hungry... Would I highly Recommend; Not really because Mad for Chicken, Bonchon Chickem & Kuku Chicken set the bar really high .... Their chicken & their soy garlic sauce hit different..... Give them all a try & let me know !!!! Thanks, Greg D & family

Rokstar Chicken is a small booth outside of Food Bazaar serving Korean fried chicken which is also halal. It's made to order so it does take about 15 minutes for the order to come out but they will text you. There is a small food court inside Food Bazaar to enjoy the food. We got a five piece boneless combo that comes with a soda, coleslaw, and a choice of one side. The coleslaw is just cabbage but not bad tasting. The boneless chicken is juicy. Don't get honey mustard, it's too pungant. We also got some wings. The soy garlic was a bit salty but the honey butter was delicious.

Honest Elite Review... The good and the bad? Chicken 7/10 (soggy in parts but big portions) Calamari 3/10 (small portions and also soggy and oily no flavor) Fries 7/10 (not bad esp with the flavorings added Coleslaw 7/10 nice balance of greens and not too much mayo which I like. The Good: 1.There is seating inside of Food Bazaar next door so you can eat your food in peace. Multiple seating, free. 2. The Price for the chicken combo wasn't bad, I have the Boneless chicken in the sweet sauce (non spicy) and it was decent. It is all dark meat except if you get the tenders I believe. 3. Their blue cheese sauce was fantastic Bad: The Calamari was TERRIBLE. Soggy, and for the price of $12 for a small box it was not worth it at all. 3/10 The place felt very "fast foody" some people ate in their cars but they did interact me there was seating inside. I was really disappointed in the calamari being the way it was. Overall with the chicken combo we had it to share and felt full.

This is my second time coming here. I wanted to try another item off the menu. The service was great, but the chicken was the same. I got the five pieces of boneless chicken. Getting a sandwich is the samething as getting tenders and boneless chicken as its just two pieces of bread laid on top of the meat. Maybe wings are different from the rest. I did get a different sauce from last time, but in general everything was similar. Price point wise the boneless is a dollar cheaper.

Huge parking lot in a busy area. Seems like it's a dine out only type of place since I only saw a window to order. Wait was as expected. A classic combo meal was ready in 18 minutes. You get a text when it's ready. Chicken/sauce is spicier than average.

It looks unassuming from the outside (located in the Food Bazaar supermarket) but they have the best Korean fried chicken! The boneless chicken was crispy on the outside and veryyyyy juicy and tender. I also liked the fries as they were crispy and not oily. The only miss for me was the coleslaw, it was way too sweet for my taste. It took about 15-18 minutes for my order to be made so just factor in that time.

5pc Hot Soy Garlic Wing Combo Meal (~$14)

Ordered: 5pc Wing Combo Meal (~$14): Hot Soy Garlic with Cajun Garlic Fries, Diet Coke, and substituted Pickled Ginger Aya's take: I love Korean fried chicken and was super excited to try Rokstar Chicken. Located adjacent to Food Bazaar, there's no dedicated seating area but there are tables inside the supermarket if you wanted to eat it fresh The 5pc Wing Combo Meal is an incredible deal for the price. Soy garlic is usually my go-to flavor with Korean fried chicken but I decided to get the Hot Soy Garlic which I was warned would be spicy. And let me tell you, it was! I typically tolerate medium levels of spice and this was starting to get to me. The Wings are crispy yet drenched in the Hot Soy Garlic flavor. I ate it right away so the wings still retained the crispiness but not for long. The Cajun Garlic Fries also had a bit of a kick to them; I didn't get much garlic taste, it was mostly just the cajun powder. I also SO appreciate that the worker let me swap the coleslaw it typically comes with for pickled ginger. I love the pickled ginger as a palette cleanser and broke through a lot of the greasiness of this meal. Overall, it's an amazing deal, great flavor, and awesome customer service. Definitely recommend!

Rokstar has easily become one of my top spots to go to when I'm craving some Korean fried chicken. When I first tried it at the Douglaston location, I was in love so I'm glad that they're opening up in more locations! This spot was different in that they have a shop on the outside of Food Bazaar and it's more like a concession stand. All orders are to go, and they package it nicely so that the chicken remains crispy. However, if you do want to eat it right away, there's a food court in this Food Bazaar (on the left of the entrance) with plenty of seating. It is a bit loud with people shopping around, but you can enjoy the fried chicken fresh. I love getting their wings cause it's always big pieces that are fried to perfection. I tried their boneless chicken this time around and these were also huge pieces of dark meat that was very tender on the inside. My favorite seasonings/sauces have to be the cajun garlic, soy garlic, and hot soy garlic. They also recently came out with a honey butter seasoning that you can choose for your fried chicken or fries! It's everyone's favorite honey butter chips but paired with fried chicken! Make sure to try out the new jalapeño mayo sauce as well. It's not spicy at all and very creamy, serving as a delicious dip for fried chicken, fries, or even their other sides! Also highly recommend the sweet mozzarella balls. It has the best cheese pull and the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Plus, that crispy outer layer provides a great contrast in texture. It's now my new favorite side on their menu!

I had totally not expected this location to have been in a shack in a shopping center parking lot with no seating and that I'd be eating my chicken on the sidewalk at like 9pm but it was an experience indeed. The girl at the register was absolutely stellar, extremely bubbly and warm and answered all questions with a smile. She was probably the best part of all this. Some of the menu is actually now halal which was why I was so eager to come and try some legit Korean fried chicken. The food actually took a while coming out to the point I thought maybe they were slaughtering the chicken fresh in the back or something. Jokes aside, it came out piping hot. My only gripe about it was that despite the chicken being hot and crunchy, the bun was cold???? That took me totally by surprise. Would've loved if it was warmed up a little and softened or toasted in the slightest. The cold and hot feeling of the bun and chicken was not so satisfying. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich and they for sure delivered on the spice. I was very pleased with that. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and so well diced it was slipping and sliding out the bun. As for portion size, it was a big burger indeed and I was very pleased with that. I think I might've just gotten the wrong menu item because it definitely didn't impress me. Flavor wise it just sorta fell flat aside from the level of spice. I will definitely be back to try their other chicken and hopefully will have the chance to rate this higher.

Fast friendly and delicious... loves the dark meat chicken since it's juicier. Usually will place an order first, then go shop around in the food bazaar market.. by the time we finish shopping, fresh hot delicious wing waiting for us nice and ready

This location has cute Raising Cane's merchandise. The energy inside is wild, but the real question was: does the food actually live up to the massive hype? I came straight here chasing that legendary crispy, saucy bite--and it did not disappoint. The chicken fingers were piping hot, incredibly tender, and practically standard-issue vessels for that iconic Cane's Sauce. The classic crinkle-cut fries were solid, but the real sleeper hit is always that buttery, pillowy Texas toast. When you assemble the ultimate bite--chicken, sauce, toast, and a fry-- it's devine. It's fast, it's chaotic, and it's a total Times Square experience. If you're looking for a quick, comforting, and undeniably crispy late-night bite in the city, this flagship location delivers exactly what you're craving. Get ready for some messy eating. But also get ready for some dry ass chicken. There's a reason why I only cook chicken thighs at home instead of breast. One is moist and juicy, the other is not. Fluffies was not able to make their chicken breast any less dry than I could. I had to drench each bite with sauce to mask the dryness. Remind me to only buy chicken sandwiches that use thighs only in the future. The crunch on the fry was a little hard, the sauce did work, but overall I felt like I ate saucy and fry rather than a chicken sandwich. The fries are aight. Very well seasoned -- that was the best part. But I felt like I was eating a toss up with each fry. Some had the perfect crisp on the outside, others felt stale? Like rhymes with the feeling of cold McDonald's fries, obvious not as bad as that but hints of that texture every few fries. It's like I got a fresh batch of fries mixed with an old batch of fries. The good fries were gooood. The bad fries were ugh. Maybe it's cause I went at 11pm but there was still a stready stream of customers. Coleslaw -- nothing special. Got it cause you gotta eat your vegetables for $2. This would be the first time that my slaw is so one-dimension in color though. Sandwich so underwhelming. Dat fry seasoning tho. Maybe I shoulda gotten the Mac/fries.

I went here a while back to order lunch for takeout, and it was pretty good. After they opened, they added some specials ranging from $15 to $17, combining chicken with fries or dumplings, and I went with the sweet and spicy boneless chicken with standard fries, as you can also update the fries to the "spicy snow" version for an extra $1. The cashier was friendly. The sweet and spicy chicken is their version of Yangnyeom/양념치킨, and the combo came with a few moderately sized pieces. The breading was crispy, and the chicken inside was pretty tender. There was some sweetness, and it had a mild kick, though it wasn't as spicy as I prefer. The fries inside were OK. They had a good crisp to them and a good crunch, but needed a tad more salt. The fry portion was also much larger, so next time, I would just stick with the chicken. The free kimchi was standard and decent. This was a perfectly decent Korean chicken spot. If it were any closer to a Korean neighborhood, I doubt it would be doing well, but there is a distinct lack of Korean places nearby outside of the primarily takeout spot, which doesn't specialize at all in chicken. It fills a niche, and I would likely at some point stop in again to try their Korean chicken sandwich or their plain chicken to try more of their sauces.

It's definitely pricier than many of the more affordable spots around Chinatown, but they're serving a more niche menu rather than the usual dumplings, noodles, or Chinese BBQ, so I think the price is justified. They also accept cards, which is convenient compared with some other spots in the neighborhood that are cash-only. The main reason I'm giving it 4 stars is the service. There was some miscommunication with the staff, my drinks were brought to another table, and they almost did the same with my food before I signaled that it was mine. The tables also weren't the cleanest and could've used a quick wipe-down between guests. That said, the restaurant is very small, probably only 10-12 seats, so space is definitely limited. Despite the service issues, I really enjoyed the food and would come back. If you're looking for something different from the typical Chinatown offerings, Peking House is definitely worth trying!
