Gyro plate. Delicious

Such a welcome addition to Romeo's food "scene". We had a great lunch! Best gyro I have had in along time. Fresh food, great service and nice clean comfortable dining room, good portions. Looking forward to trying more menu items. Cheers to their success!

I was very excited to try the Mad Greek Restaurant. Finally an authentic Greek restaurant close to home. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. We tried several of the selections on the menu, including the chicken lemon rice soup the Greek bowl with chicken Slovakia the side of hummus and pita, side of Greek fries and the beef and lamb gyro. All of the items came out very hot and fresh and were delicious. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again to try some of the other menu items such as the spanakopita and Greek salad. The owner was very pleasant and made sure all of his guests were well taken care of, and the waitress was very attentive. The pricing on the menu was reasonable based on the amount of food and quality of the food. I would highly recommend you try this place.

Great food, awesome atmosphere and hospitality. Gyro platter and desserts were top notch. Support a local Greek business!

Everything we ate from the salad and its dressing to the mussels and the gyro were both fresh and delicious. The mussels didn't seem to be debearded but they were fresh and delicious. The gyro doesn't naturally come with feta but they brought a large side of it! And there was one server and the host who managed to provide quality service even with 6 tables coming in at the same time.

I'll eat here, but not as often as i would if they polished up their menu/execution. The chicken dishes, all of them, are terrible. They advertise "tender chicken cut into slices," but if you look at any of the pics on here, it's all the same - tiny, little chicken bits, dry and overcooked. The more obscure dishes are the way to go. They fail hard on the basics, but hit home runs on their more unheard of menu items. If you've never heard of something, but it sounds good - that's what you should order here. Chicken lemon rice: 3/10 Not enough chicken, lemon tastes artificial and weird, soup is bland. I've had better CLR at most any coney island. Chicken Gyro: 3/10 Chicken was dry, the orzo was dry and overcooked, tziki sauce was thick and lacked flavor. Plenty of chicken... I would have rather had less chicken, cooked better. I haven't seen their chicken kabob, but it seems like this place uses the thick part of their breast for the kabobs, and uses the scraps bits for all of their other dishes. Grape Leaves: 7/10 Good flavor, good sauce... wish the CLR soup tasted as good as the sauce from the grape leaves. Stifado: 9/10 Excellent dish. Good amount of beef, great flavor, nice stew. This is the dish that I would come back for. Bread basket: Bread: 4/10 - they serve the bread ice cold. Olive oil: 9/10 - excellent flavor, super light, nice lemon zest Service: 8.5/10 - good job. They had one guy for all 8 or so tables, but did he did a good job covering them. The busser/assistant did a good job at keeping our waters and bread full, but he tries to carry too much, and it causes a big distraction (glasses clunking, nearly falling over, re-stacking)... sometimes two trips is better than one... He also says "of course" (pet peeve) when someone says "thank you." Perhaps I'm weird, but I find that terribly dismissive, and off-putting.

There's something special about walking into a place that's been part of your life for that long. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming -- that classic Greektown energy with a comfortable, familiar feel. Whether it's a busy weekend night or a more relaxed weekday dinner, the staff keeps things moving and stays friendly and attentive. The food is why I keep coming back year after year. The saganaki is a must -- flaming cheese, a little show, and that perfect salty bite with lemon. The gyro platter is generous and flavorful, with tender meat and warm pita. The Greek salad is always fresh, loaded with feta, and dressed just right. Portions are hearty and consistently satisfying. After more than two decades of visits, Pegasus has never let me down. It's dependable, flavorful, and full of character. If you're in Greektown and want a tried-and-true Greek spot with history and heart, this is it.

When we asked for recommendations, our server mentioned that the restaurant was known for its lamb, so both my wife and I ordered the lamb gyros. Unfortunately, the gyros were disappointing. The lamb was flavorless, overcooked, and extremely salty. Given the restaurant's reputation for lamb, we expected much better. While the service and atmosphere were good, the quality of the food did not live up to expectations, and we left disappointed.

I always appreciate a good fast-casual style restaurant that offers an easy menu with good and healthy options, so I was looking forward to trying out The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in West Bloomfield! Upon first glance, the restaurant looks very chill, well kept up, and has tons of seating options. The staff was also very kind and continually offered to help with anything during our visit. However... I have two main qualms. One is that the price per item adds up very quickly here. You essentially have to factor in that you can probably get 1.5 meals out of a portion, because otherwise, you're paying close to $20 for a single meal of fast-casual food. Keep in mind that most other locations of this caliber in this area would easily have 2 meals worth of food in one entree at a lower price. The food itself was pretty ok - I'd say it met our expectations of what a standard mediterranean restaurant should be. That said... they definitely disappointed us with the wait time. We went in on a slow Sunday afternoon, and though there was only 1 other family in the restaurant, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food. Ultimately... I'd probably recommend you try somewhere else -- The Great Greek Mediterranean is definitely casual, but nowhere near fast.

Generous portion of gyro. The salad was huge. Feta cheese tasted odd. Very salty and had an old/not fresh taste to it. My friend had the Greek combo plate which had gyro meat, a chicken kebab, grilled pita, and a side. We sat up at the bar and had great service. They had a cocktail menu with their seasonal specials. My friend had the apple crisp made with Crown Apple. At $14 it seemed a little steep. I stuck with Jack Daniels and Diet Coke and at $9 that still seemed a little high and enough not to merit a second drink. The Greek has a lot going for it. It has a good vibe with friendly staff. If they can work on the menu a little more and dial back the salt content on the food this place would be on my list of Greektown choices. I don't know if I will give this place a third try with so many other options all within walking distance.
