They have larger dinner entree dishes here, but he pointed out their sandwiches which were much smaller in size since I didn't want a ton of food. I got the beef shawarma which was made fresh by the nice cook behind the wall in the kitchen. You can get fries or rice as a side with the sandwiches which is great. I went with fries, which were okay. There's also fountain pop here which was great, but cans of pop or water in the front if that's what you'd prefer. My total with a drink was around $13 which wasn't to terribly bad. Food was good and it seemed to match the price point. I did have leftovers but due to the heat and me being out and about, I wasn't able to take them with me.

I've been going to Shish Palace for years but I'm done. The Shish Kafta was so dry from being reheated. So it's upset with my experience today. However, I wanted thousand island dressing either it and the small container of it had a 12/24 date written on the top. Did they make the dressing that day or put it in the containers that day??? Either way, that's a bad vibe given we placed our order on Jan 9th. I know the salad dressing, if bottled, would still be good, but seeing that date from over two weeks prior is off putting. Supposedly this place got a new chef recently. Maybe it's time to get another because based on what we experienced on Jan 9th, I won't be back.
