      This is the prettiest chic restaurant around. I had visited the coffee shop attached before. But this was my first time dining in. The food was amazing! We tried a lot and there were not clunkers. We had Gabe, I believe, as our server and he was stellar. Great service and a specially kicked up birthday dessert for my daughter. We tried 4 pizza's and they were all delicious! I can't choose a favorite. Street parking is hard to come by as there was construction when we visited. They offered valet on this Saturday night or there is paid parking within a mild walk. We had a fabulous meal and evening! I would highly recommend visiting for a special occasion or casual dress meal out.

      Loved the vibe here, super cute decor and a playlist that set the tone perfectly without being too loud for conversation. The food delivered as well. The tartare was fresh and unique with lots of greens, and the sourdough toast paired nicely. The cacio e pepe was a standout, we loved it so much we each ordered a second. The carrot cake cannoli was creative and delicious, a fun twist on dessert. Drinks were also a highlight, my brother especially loved the house-made limoncello. Valet parking is available, and reservations are definitely recommended.

      Great food and a really fun ambiance! The drink selection is fun and everything was really good. We specifically loved the short rib ragú pasta and the thin crust Italian pizzas were some of the best pizza we've had in the area.

      GOOD GOD. Best potatoes I've ever put in my mouth. Period. I will be dreaming of the potatoes frittos every day until I return to eat them again, and every day after that. They are fried to crispy PERFECTION, coasted with some enchanted salty stuff, plus fried rosemary, and the dip they come with has a hint of lemon and it all just works fabulously. I can't get over how much I enjoyed them. I expected my egg yolk ravioli to be runny, as the server indicated, but the folks were fully cooked. Maybe that's the intent and it was just false advertising? My friend enjoyed her butternut pasta dish. The cocktail/mocktail list here is fire. I don't think you can go wrong. I literally cannot WAIT to come back and try more of their menu! I am so impressed with Mad Nice!!

      Truly enjoyed my time at Mad Nice. Sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. Actually had two bartenders assisting. The first, I now regret not asking his name, gave me a taste of a beet infused mezxal they are testing for spring and offered to make me a cocktail after seeing that I loved it! The cocktail was amazing. Something I couldn't wait to try again. Asking what the name of it is, he said he made it up. It wasn't one on the menu. So we decided to call it The Melanee, after me of course . I wasn't all that hungry but I ordered a pizza but while waiting I had some of the salad my sister in law ordered. It was delicious. Again, didn't catch the name but it had nuts and radishes tossed in a very different tasting ranch dressing. The pizza was what you'd expect it to be in a top tier Italian restaurant. Crust was just thick enough to hold up the heavy sauce and the toppings were quality. But, what took me over was dessert. So glad Tiana (fantastic server, I did get her name) suggested we take a look. I'm a sucker for a good Gelato and once I saw it on the menu I had to get it. But all I saw was for $25. Asking the crafter of The Melanee about it, he explained it was huge. I only wanted a taste so he pointed out The Sando. Perfect choice! It was everything I could have asked for and more! The almond brittle I wished I could buy in bulk! Will be going back for a few more cocktails and to order dessert first!

      Mad Nice absolutely lives up to its name -- stunning space, great energy, and genuinely excellent food. We ordered the octopus, gem salad, Guanciale pizza, and duck pastrami cavatelli, and every dish delivered. The octopus was perfectly tender with a light char and great balance. The gem salad was crisp, fresh, and surprisingly addictive. The Guanciale pizza stood out with its nutty richness from the pine nuts, balanced by the sweetness of figs and a light, crispy crust. The duck pastrami cavatelli was rich, savory, and comforting without feeling too heavy. Beyond the food, the space is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. There's a coffee shop that's great for daytime visits, plus a private dining room that would be perfect for birthdays, group dinners, or special events. The atmosphere feels elevated but still warm and fun. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience felt polished without being stuffy. A great spot for date night, celebrations, or hosting out-of-town guests -- definitely one I'll be coming back to.

      The vibe was fantastic -- fresh, fun, clean, and full of personality. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel good walking in. The space is an influencer's dream too, with plenty of spots to grab a great photo. The staff was amazing. From the hostess who gave some great recommendations to our waitress who steered us toward the Street Waffle we're still talking about. They really went above and beyond, which is rare to find these days. The food was a HIT! The Street Waffle was crisp on the outside, light and fluffy inside, and just perfect with a little butter and syrup. We also tried the Dirty Diner Pie and Omelette, both delicious and full of flavor. Overall, it's a spot I'd definitely come back to -- perfect for brunch, drinks with friends, or grabbing a bite before catching a show. I could totally see this place fitting right in at Somerset or Birmingham.

      The cutest chic restaurant in detroit!! The food is high quality and can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The servers here are very friendly and knowledgeable with their recs.       If you're looking for one of the best dining experiences in Detroit, Mad Nice is not to be missed. Mad Nice delivers modern Italian fusion with a handcrafted feel, and the food is truly exceptional. The lobster appetizer alone is one of the top five dishes I've eaten in my life. It's that good. The pizzas deserve their own moment. We've eaten pizza all over Italy, and somehow these stand right alongside the best. The sourdough crust is light, perfectly balanced, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. Every bite feels thoughtful and intentional. The atmosphere is just as special as the food--inviting, lively, and perfect for gathering with friends. It's one of those places you want to come back to again and again. What really elevates the experience, though, is the hospitality. Our favorite server Rob and manager Jeff are masters of what I would call "unreasonable hospitality." They remember our favorite dishes, surprise us with things we love even when we don't order them, and never let us leave without a special touch. It's rare to feel that genuinely cared for at a restaurant. And don't overlook brunch. Their house-made sourdough bagels--served in a variety of creative ways--are phenomenal and worth the visit alone. Detroit has an incredible food scene, and Mad Nice is absolutely one of the standouts.

      The Gem Salad. Sneaky Good!

      This place should change their name to MAD DELICIOUS. Located roughly 1 mile from downtown Detroit, this place was super cool. The decor was very unique(See attached pics). There is plenty of on street parking for in the neighborhood and a Valet lot for $15. The atmosphere was dope, the music was a really nice vibe. The service was incredible, our server Elijah was on point, he was knowledgeable about the menu and even warned us that the Gem Salad was more than enough to split. He didn't have to do that, so I appreciated it. The pizza was out of this world. I had the sausage and olive pizza and added mushrooms and pepperoni. Who knew that I would have some of the best pizza I've ever had in Detroit at a place called Mad Nice!!! Oh BTW, I'm from Jersey, so I know good piizza. This place is a MUST TRY. I loved everything about it, and I think you would too.

      This has only been my second time here but I absolutely ADORE this restaurant! We came for brunch on our anniversary weekend and enjoyed our entire experience here! I love all the pinks and greens in there. The interior is so aesthetically pleasing! We were given an anniversary card which is super sweet! I'm grateful for the extra thought:) We both loved our coffees! We both were given little blondies with them. Which is so neat! I don't think of anything that could please me more than a sweet treat coming at the same time as my coffee. My bf ordered the Biscuit Sando and loved it! I took a bite and the biscuit tasted homemade and it was delicious. I ordered the Steak & Eggs Benedict. The poached egg and steak was sitting on top of croissant toast. Croissant. Toast. It was hands down one of the best Benedict's I've ever eaten. I loved the tanginess of the hollandaise too We shared a Street Waffle as a sweet treat... it was so yummy! I need the recipe haha We ended the brunch with a digestif but I'm not sure exactly what it was but it tasted amazing. Loved the atmosphere of this place, our server was incredible, & the food was delicious! Best time! Please check this place out! Loved the brunch and dinner is great too!

      A lively, bright, Italian-inspired spot with a warm, welcoming energy from the moment you walk in. The hostess was fantastic, the room had plenty of tables, and the vibe felt alive without being chaotic. Smiling faces everywhere -- friendly staff and genuinely knowledgeable servers set the tone right away. The menu is broad and tempting, so naturally we had to sample a little of everything. We started with shishito peppers and grilled octopus, both absolutely outstanding. The Little Gem salad had a Caesar-style twist that worked beautifully, and the lobster salad they brought out for us was fresh, flavorful, and downright delicious. For pizza, we went with the Patate -- a bold choice with potato, Parmesan, and rosemary. Unexpected, a little wild, and surprisingly excellent. Main courses included agnolotti pasta, rotisserie chicken, and rib cap -- all cooked perfectly and worthy of a repeat order without hesitation. Service was top-notch from start to finish, and the manager Tatiana took exceptional care of us. A great experience all around and a place we'd gladly return to.

Of the five flavors I've tried, the pistachio is my favorite. Momento also offers baked goods and sorbet. I've had the lemon and raspberry sorbets, and personally prefer the lemon. While the baked goods are outsourced, the croissant I had was delicious. I've also tried the lemonade. It was too sour for my liking, though I'm hoping it was just an off batch. There are also some savory options, like breakfast sandwiches and paninis, I plan on trying one day. In the few times my family and I have been to Momento, we've always left happy. Gelato isn't especially common in the Metro Detroit area, so having a solid spot like this in one of the city's most happening neighborhoods shouldn't be taken for granted.

The party next to us witnessing this opted not to stay for dinner. Do you blame them? I think we all understand stuff happens and we were more than gracious, but it wasn't even acknowledged, nor was there much concern that this happened two times by their staff. One by accident, one complete carelessness. Had we not put our dinner order in we would have also left. Two stars because the cocktails were the only thing worth the visit. Worst birthday dinner ever.

Meanwhile 2 other staff were eating in plain view behind the bar talking to each other and eating at the coffee station and pausing to handle guest food and to go orders without washing their hands then go right back to eating again. Once our food was dropped off we didn't have any interaction again until someone else came up to grab empty plates and said "you want your check?". I hate for this to be such a nice restaurant in a prime location and have poor service like that. We ordered a steak skillet and a seafood étouffée omelette, food was tasty. I would like to give it another try because I see potential. Just to note this establishment does not have a bar. They do have some decent mocktails and coffee however.

I kid you not, another 20 minutes for the sushi to come out. Again, the manager just glanced at me and walked by since he was helping bring out plates to the main tables. And once the nigiri moriawase came out, I was very underwhelmed. The size of each nigiri for that high of a price point was baffling. Not to mention the quality of the fish was not good. I've had way better at all-you-can-eat spots. I will stand by that. It wasn't until the end when I wanted the bill, which took another 20 minutes. I legit thought my server went home. Great flavor and texture with the toasted breadcrumbs, pecorino cheese, and some brightness from lemon. I'd go back for the salad alone but when I do go, I'm sure we'll place another order for all the goods again.

Unfortunately, at one point this dog got excited by a dog coming by on the sidewalk and jumped up and started barking at the others dog, just inches away from me. It was quite startling and its owner was not particularly apologetic. With such a confined space, I think this establishment may want to reconsider whether it allows dogs in their outdoor seating area.
