Looooved this sandwich shop! No frills, order at the counter, every single item on the menu looked amazing, staff were friendly, and food was awesome. I had the spicy chicken Caesar sandwich and it was as good as it looked. Husband enjoyed the muffuletta. No nuts are used in the restaurant so great option for allergies as well.

Big sandwichs, good mayo, hot bread. I eat 2x a day and it got me through 1.5 meals. Mayo + lettuce always = . I got the Turkey Bella and even though i don't like bacon, it was still good. Just enough bacon to give a crunch and a savory flavor. Heads up, not a place if you want actual Italian style sandwiches, it is quintessentially American but on focaccia bread. Patient staff, doesn't take too long to get your food. Cute little shop.

The best sandwiches in town!! I especially love the breakfast rueben. Everything is made to order and is fresh and delicious. Service is great. You can sit in the small dining area or take it to go. There are two locations right now (Detroit & Farmington) and both are wonderful!

I like their Farmington location so I came here and had lunch while I was in the area. It is different. Same ingredient, same menu but my sandwich is hastily made. Herb aoli is not evenly spread. Bacon was one strip. Also don't get the coffee either. $4 for a little cup. If u work nearby or live nearby. This is still a good place to get a sandwich

Fantastic Italian deli. The fresh bread made the whole sandwich and the Great Lakes chips were the perfect side. $19 for a meal this good is well worth it.

Great little place 3 blocks from campus martius. Fair priced italian sandwiches. Quick pleasant service from a delightful Austrailian women and Gent behind the counter.

I got a Papa Georgio sandwich and tomato soup delivered for lunch and the flavors were great! The focaccia bread tastes fresh and soft with a crispier outer edge. The sandwich toppings are delicious, the caramelized onions and pesto really made the sandwich. Add the balsamic! I was disappointed that most of the toppings were in the center of the sandwich and gone within the first few bites, leaving the outer edge of the sandwich with little to no toppings, just bread. Thankfully I got soup, so I was able to dip the bread. They also did not cut the sandwich in half, not sure if that's how they do it there, but it's quite large so I cut it myself. The soup is extremely flavorful and garlicky - yum! Overall I would definitely eat here again. Since my food was delivered I can't speak on service or ambiance.

Love La Pecora Nera! Staff is super friendly, delivery for our catering was right on time, and food was fresh and delicious. Everything smelled so good upon arrival to the office. I love that the sandwiches were wrapped and labeled with the numbers - I could just print out the menu so people could reference which sandwich to choose. The meats, cheeses, dressings and veggies were very fresh, and the grilled sandwiches were still warm. I love the sundried tomatoes on the antipasti salad, and the guac for the chicken salad was freshly made. With a good variety of different sandwiches, everyone got to have something that they like, and they have 2 vegetarian options. You could also keep it easy and order all the same sandwiches. Will for sure make this a frequent catering choice.

Super hot so it took a bit to cool, but then a strong roast. While the laws of thermodynamics were underway, I was able to watch the flow of customers, observe the "Javabot" that sadly no one used this morning and watch the Detroit traffic circling around Campus Martius. Other than I was not able to get their wifi to work (Detroit has a free wifi as well), it was a good resting spot with quiet background music and it never did get any other sit down customers while I dawdled. Located in a cool, older building in historic downtown Detroit. The location is great, near the town square, Campus Martius. Comfy seating options available but it feels like more of a carry out place. It felt like a narrow space to me because there is a large coffee display in the middle. It looks really cool but makes the space feel smaller to me. I'll definitely stop by and get more coffees to go.

I was here just after they opened (at 6 am!) and enjoyed morning coffee and wifi before heading to the office. I love a coffee shop that has a cortado on the menu. Or a Gibraltar. This tells me that the barista isn't some button pusher but instead of a craft coffee barista who actually has some training. I'm talking to you, Green Siren people. The barista this morning assembled a perfect cortado for me. Half espresso and half steamed (not foamed) milk in a short glass. I love the cortado because it's the same amount of coffee as a big latte but now I won't need to hit the restroom all morning! It was fabulous, delivered to my table as I wrote my morning's Yelp reviews. Dessert Oasis is a little grunge, a little industrial, a little coffee shop. It's not fancy but they have lovely wooden tables, comfortable seating, quiet music and power outlets. If I wasn't heading into the office, I could spend all day sitting here and OD'ing on great coffee. [Review 869 of 2025 - 434 in Michigan - 24426 overall]

The cake looked great and had the graham (I might have imagined it), marshmallow, and chocolate flavor elements in each bite, but it ran a bit dry and sweeter than I prefer. I'm in the "less sugar is more" minority, so most people might be fine with it. I guess I should have expected it given the name. The iced matcha latte used decent matcha and tasted light and pleasant, no grit. Inside, it is all pastels and cake themed accents, with the general vibe of "yeah, there are macarons here." The real plus is being near Little Caesars Arena in the newer development area, which makes it convenient for grabbing a treat and a drink while downtown.
