The setup for the show was a half circle so there were almost no bad seats for a medium sized show. The staff and patrons were all accommodating and nobody tried to steal seats or anything. The restrooms were new and clean and there was plenty of parking nearby and even some new EV Chargers going in. I'd go back to see another show here!

The lady was very friendly, informative and even took the time to give us a tour of the venue. There are plenty of photo op areas, a dining area, changing rooms, a dance floor with event lighting, a small kitchen and prep area, restrooms, and a few other themed rooms that are great for parties, Weddings, Graduations, Celebrations, and more. Everything is very clean, and organized. Pricing varies, it's best to call for an appointment to see all the venue has to offer and work with the owners on the details of the event to confirm a firm quote. My wife and I like that it is a one stop shop where you can get married and hold the reception at the same venue, minimizing travel and additional costs to all parties involved. The Bride and Groom also have dressing rooms available where they can prepare and be away from the main party while they prepare for their big moment. We also liked that the small kitchen in the back provides another avenue to save by having the food catered via a third party of your choice versus being required to order food from or through the Wedding Place. We haven't held an event here yet, but Nancy has mentioned the Wedding Place a few times since our visit here. We would definitely keep them in mind for our next big party or get together. If you are in the area and looking for an all-in-one venue where you can hold your next party, themed event, or Wedding than the Wedding Place might be just what you're looking for.

Of course me being in the catering business for over 30 years My eyes lit up. I guess she has been here for over 2 years. The place is huge! It has a dance floor and DJ area tables and chairs and linens and centerpieces for seating. It actually has a little chapel with pews for a wedding. It has a back room VIP area for getting dressed and hanging out. Small kitchen with a large refrigerator. And it's all air conditioned and inside so I like that. I might rent this for my 60th birthday. Price has changed so I don't want to list the price but it is kind of high but you get a lot! One stop shop you don't have to think about anything just get the food and show up. You're allowed to bring any type of food you want either cooked from a friend or from a catering company. I forgot to ask about the alcohol I'm sure you can bring your own. If you're at the Oviedo Mall check it out it's a pretty cool place!

My team was looking for a place to host two large groups of college students to train them in urban…read moreministry. When we discovered Canterbury, we knew we had found a gem. Its location is pretty special. For being only a half hour from downtown Orlando, the nature surrounding the retreat center makes it feel like you've driven for hours outside of an urban area. And the small lake around Canterbury is a great backdrop, as well. The staff, in particular, make this place extra special. I'll point out Irene, Teri, Seth, and Michael -- all of whom were so kind and easy to work with. They flexed far beyond the limits of their job descriptions to make our stay perfect. Because of them, Canterbury feels more like a bed and breakfast than a retreat and conference center. Even Arnold, who heads up the sales side of things, was super accommodating -- particularly when it came to rates and adjusting to unforeseen changes. Overall, I'd strongly recommend Canterbury to anyone looking for a spiritual retreat or a place to host approximately 100 people or less.

This Event was Awesome! had a great message to take away!…read more Attended as a team builder, with our Leaders and coworkers. Focus was on bringing us closer together. The activities encouraged better communication and working as a team. The initial activities, helped break the ice, and get us communicating, building trust and being there, for one another, throughout the process of the program. The activities had a meaning behind them, which was shared with us during the debrief afterwards. Each person was given the option to challenge themselves to do their part and assist their teammates. It was so much fun! It was motivating to have a team, have my back. We cheered one another and adjusted process of activities, to improve our success. No quiters here, we push through our comfort zone and relief, on each other, to reach our goal. It was a safe place and no shame. We always had the choice, to participate or not. and still be supported in your decision. After activities, we enjoyed a buffet lunch, with a great salad bar with make your own sandwiches station, with cookies and icecream to boot! :) The instructors were Awesome, interacted with of us, kept it fun and exciting! Gives off a New Orleans vibe with two rooms and one has a loft. Lots of great artwork. Our party had about 60 people. A DJ and room for dancing once the tables were moved. ONLY GAVE 3 stars for how beautiful the venue is NOT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more We are 22 days away from our wedding and due to lack of communication, time management, and organization we made the choice to CANCEL. The disorganization of meeting to do final planning and final pricing was just the start of our disappointment. They have a policy of paying all fees 60 days before the event which is completely understandable. What is not understandable is holding us accountable for them being late with final paper work, 35 days late. When we were first contacted to discuss our wedding plans we were under the impression we were meeting to discuss arrangement of the room and timing for the day. To our surprise it was more about what we wanted to add to our bill because it was already late and because it was late there is a 10% late fee but they will "wave it" if we pay immediately. Mind you at the meeting all the questions we asked 90% of the response was "We can figure that out the day of the wedding," I did contact the owner and inform her of this iteration. Long story short we then had another horrible experience when it came to trying to pay our bill and the owner threatening to cancel our date and add the late fee back on. They have no empathy, understanding, or time management. Will blame you for there mistakes and expect you to give them grace but not show it in return. Like I said beautiful venue hate that we lost 1,000 in this place do to there horrible management style only use this place with a wedding coordinator.
