    Gorgeous bar
    Jean R.

Stopped by here on a Saturday evening for some drinks before dinner. They have a happy hour daily until 7pm (HH drink menu is limited). We started off with a drink on there and then ventured out to the rest of the menu. The menu was cute and the drinks were creative and well put together. The bar was gorgeous and the place was giving speakeasy vibes. Although the drinks are expensive (what isn't expensive in NYC?), I thought it was well worth the experience. Yanni was a vibe and we had a great time.

This the rare spot that actually earns the word "lounge." The room is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect, and the whole place has that relaxed, elevated feel where you want to sink into your seat and stay a while. Service was excellent too. Attentive and friendly, but not pushy. Nobody hovering, nobody doing the constant "ready for another round?" routine every five minutes. Just smooth, professional pacing. The music was the highlight of the night. Legit amazing. It's not just background noise, it's part of the experience, and it ties the whole vibe together. Food was fine, but not the reason I'd come back. The meatballs and the bread that came with them were a bit too salty, and overall the food didn't match how strong everything else was. Still, the atmosphere + music + service make this place worth it. I'd go back for a night out that actually feels like a night out.

Standing ovation (punch) and bigelow buzz

Romantic and moody speakeasy with some pretty sick theming. Love that each page of the menu is themed to a different part of nyc culture, from new twists on traditional cocktails to drinks embodying hip hop culture. I had the Standing Ovation Madame punch, served in a tea cup and an ode to classic party punch bowl cocktails. The presentation was really cute, but the drink itself was a bit too sweet. It would make sense their punch drinks are on the sweeter side, but it just missed the mark of feeling like a high quality cocktail because of that overly sweet flavor. However, the bigelow buzz was perfection. It had notes of coffee and lemon, and was perfectly smooth and not too spirit forward on the taste, but still packed a punch. Unfortunately neither of these cocktails were a part of the happy hour menu. We paired these beverages with a dozen of their $1.50 HH oysters. They were fresh and sweet, not fishy at all, with a nice array of sauces. My only wish is that they had more bites and drinks included during happy hour, as the selection was quite limited and none seemed as appealing as their other options. Service was great, seated quickly and they made sure we had everything we needed. Would recommend reservations as sometimes they have private parties, and I can imagine it getting busy during peak hours. Love the dark and moody ambiance, theming, and comfortable seating. Total lair vibes and I am here for it. 8/10 , solid stop for an after work happy hour crawl, would come back for the oysters and bigelow buzz!

We showed up to this speakeasy on a Thursday night for four and was seated right away. Once you walk downstairs, you're welcome to a dim-lit 1940's vibe that is intimate yet spacious. We luckily got seated right in front of the live performance for the night, which was a jazz band called Peter and the Magic Keys. It was such a vibe and the music was spot on --loved it! With four people, we decided to go big and share the Bonanza Punch Bowl ($80) and Bar Snacks Tier ($70). This was perfect for 4-5 people and we all loved the presentation as soon as the food and drinks came out. The punch bowl comes in a large teapot, which has you feeling like you're having high tea. This is a real throwback to the Prohibition era when people were sneakily drinking alcohol in teacups. We all had 3 refills too, which was just the right amount. Then the bar snack tower came with Wagyu sliders, mini hot dogs, olives, and chips. The wagyu was tender and cooked medium, but felt the bread to meat ratio for both the hot dog and sliders were a bit off. This is a fun appetizer to share for the group since it also came in a tower like they do in high tea, which fit with the drinks we had. This speakeasy is such a vibe and definitely a new favorite spot of mine for drinks. Love the vibes, atmosphere and drinks. It's the perfect spot for a date night specifically. Bring your date here; they'll be impressed.

RSVP! Madame George was a great find. It was broadway night with several singers that came up to the stage. However, our host was the one that stole the show. With his great singing and ability to keep the crowd engaged! I would come back just to see him! The drinks were tasty with typical NYC pricing. It's also small but cozy.

This underground speakeasy comes from the same team behind Verlaine and Lolita. I was able to walk in without a reservation for a girls' night out, lucky! After checking in with the hostess, you head downstairs into a cozy, dimly lit space. They had live music, but it wasn't too loud--you could still hear your friends and chitchat. The cocktails and small bites are on the pricier side. We tried the Mott Street Bang Bang Shrimp and the Salt & Vinegar Chips with olives. Both were good choices. If you're a martini girl, definitely go for the Teeny Tini Trio! It's three different mini martinis. Service was great, and the vibe was perfect for a date night or GNO. Would recommend!

Made for New Yorkers? Yes I will approve

From top to bottom this place oozes NY 1940's chic and class. We loved the drinks, which were all unique and complex, but still smooth. The menu was very descriptive so you didn't need a server to explain each drink. And the NY theme also permeated the menu. To find this gem, you have to walk into a non-descript lobby next to a restaurant. They will take walk ins early in the day, so we were lucky to walk in around 4 pm. The stairs have a subway tile look and feels appropriately mysterious. The food was good, but we only tried one appetizer so we are unable to really say what item was best. The Bang Bang shrimp were very tasty and not too rich. The drinks will cost about $20-25 per item, but it's worth the splurge. This is definitely our favorite speakeasy in Midtown Manhatt

This place is awesome. Unassuming location, you go down a couple flights of stairs and it opens up into a beautiful speak easy. The hostess was kind and sat us before our reservation as were arrived early. The waitress was kind, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The drinks were great. They have live music but not when we were there so I think the vibe just gets better. Overall a must in my opinion.

I came on a weekend and pre-booked a table for 1 - only to be given a seat at the bar, facing away from the live entertainment which was a real let down. I get that the place is busy and they would want to reserve tables for parties 2 or more, but in that case I shouldn't have been given the option online to book a table for 1. So not a great start to the evening. I was quickly given some water while I perused the menu. There were plenty of signature cocktails to choose from, but when I saw they carried an Old Tom gin I had to get a Martinez since they are best made with an Old Tom. My bartender Miranda was fabulous and quickly prepared one of the best Martinez I have had in the city! Big shout out to her for being so talented at what she does with a welcoming and warm personality! The live Jazz music was enjoyable, but it was not comfortable to have to crane my neck around and look over other people to catch a glimpse of the performance. While I'd love to come back for the fantastic drinks, it's a shame anyone without a larger party cannot enjoy better seating.

We decided to check this place out on Black Friday night and it was so worth it! We didn't have a reservation and they still allowed us to sit. The eggnog was very very tasty and my friend's drink was nice and tangy. I got the general Tso chicken and was NOT expecting to get that much! I was definitely full and the music was very nice to be a part of. I would definitely recommend this place

Love music, vibey scene. Loved it. Fun!

Enjoyed the live music and inventive cocktails. Came with a group and they were wonderful!

Second time coming here for cocktails. The space is huge so it doesn't take long to get seated. The live band is a nice touch as well. Some of the cocktails were hit / miss, but overall I liked the creative & extensive menu. The espresso martini was pretty solid as well. Good spot to come and hang with some friends!

The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed.
