Madame Puff's Thai Bistro is such a delightful dining experience! You first walk in and the tables are gorgeously set. Our server Toast had fantastic reco's for every course. Especially loved the: Shredded pork puff pastry - heated in the air fryer, packed with aromatic shredded pork floss. Pancakes stuffed with chives, taro, or shrimp & bamboo. New seasonal item. 3 included in the order & you can mix and match flavors. Chicken satay. Love the herb dipping sauce. Khao Sol with Tiger Prawn. Signature dish with floating chopsticks! Never had a Tiger prawn served this way, almost like a lobster! Northern Larb pork. def spicy, so beware. Mango Sticky Rice. Perfect ending! Great for lunch with friends or business outing!

You have to "be up for anything" if you're planning an outing here. It was a trip, in the best way. Memorable for sure. The theatrics, service, atmosphere and show stopping presentation is where it's at! It's a lot of wow factor. Maybe not my favorite everyday flavors, but this isn't your everyday place. Vague? Yes. Why? I don't know, can't put my finger on it, but great nonetheless or because of it, who knows. Go and check back in!

Came here for the first time post probably one of the best Yelp Elite Events i've ever been to. I brought my reluctant parents. This might have been one of the best meals I've had in Lincoln Square. We went with the puffs, spring rolls, and crab rangoon. All of them were excellent, but we especially liked the crab Rangoon. They were built with care and were a strong start to the meal. We went with the orange chicken, basil fried rice, and the floating curry noodles. All of them excellent, but my dad didn't like the spice on the fried rice. My mom and I liked it! If there were any downsides, it's that the meal took a little longer than expected and the tables are a bit too close together. Still, the entire place is beautiful and the food was excellent. Add a live singer and the evening was awesome. We will all be back!

Did not like the food at all got two things and didn't like either. Veg puff was average too big on steak to name your restaurant after the puffs that don't taste extraordinary and the vegetarian khao soy sauce was messy to eat and full of sodium. I will not try again. The vegetable puff- apparently they make and store which is expected but when it was served it was cold from inside. We reported to the staff and he was nice to offer us another one. And this time it was warm. Restaurant staff were nice and warm. One star for that reason. Good luck.

Um, wow! I was not expecting the chi-chi, kinda over the top decor, but I love it. Nice service, tasty (and well presented) food.

Food was absolutely amazing. Had a large party of 12, ordered multiples of apps and main courses. Flavor is amazing, presentation is stunning! The waitstaff is very attentive and accommodating. They are quick and friendly. Restaurant is clean, fancy, with great music. Very well designed. Will come back ASAP. We didn't try everything, but would recommend all that we ordered. Khao soi, pineapple fried rice, calamari, bang bang shrimp, ribeye, fried pork balls, golden grilled chicken, pad thai.

We stopped in here with no reservation on a Saturday night. They were very busy, yet accommodated us. We were treated to a beautiful place setting and a delicious meal. Everything was gorgeous and tasted amazing. The service was spectacular and they had a live musician playing fun, very pretty music. Next time we will reserve- and we will look forward to our next meal there!

Panang Curry. This was the only dish we didn't love. Everything else was really excellent

Considered a five star rating but feel like this place deserves a 4.5. Restaurant is lovely and instagram worthy. Loved the papaya salad , pad see ew, cashew chicken and pad Thai . Tried a few puffs too - those were pretty good. They have live music on Friday and Saturday and while the singer was talented , the music and his singing was too loud for the small space and as a result , I left with a headache. Service was pretty good although a bit disorganized ( eg our entrees came out one at a time and our appetizers came out at the end). Overall, the food was excellent and I will definitely return on a night where there is no live music .

There's a lot of Thai spots in the neighborhood but according to my friend, this is one of the better ones. I've only been once but I have to agree that I liked what I got (although I liked the Thai spot that used to be here and hope those folks are well). I ordered the khao soi which was yummy (and also a bit of a fun spectacle, since it had chopsticks levitating in the air). The service is friendly and good vibes and the spot lives up to their name - I tried the curry chicken puffs and they were yummy and I am curious to try the rest of their puffs over future visits.

This restaurant is perfect if you want to take cute pictures of yourself AND the food you're eating! Everything from the decor to the presentation of your utensils was set up for you. And the food?? Well you will definitely wish your stomach was bigger! We did not dislike any dish we tried! Everything was fried to perfection and seasoned so beautifully!! I even ordered another thai iced tea to go!! And on top of all that good stuff, our waitress was sooo great! So nice and really added the bow on top to the experience. I can't wait to come back!!

First off, this place is decked out in spangle gold. It's like the Thai Mar-Lag-O, but not as kitsch. The greeting when we walked through the door was warm and we were instantly seated and treated to one of the best Thai meals we have had in Chicago. A bit of context, I've been eating Thai food since the mid-90s. I'm sort of addicted to it. My family and I have traveled across Thailand and I've spent a few vacations in culinary heaven there. So, hear me when I say that Madame Puffs is doing something very right. The presentation alone (see the snaps) is jaw dropping. Every detail is thought out, from the pouring of the water with a golden bamboo-shaped water jug, to the pouring of the curry sauce onto the bowl. Even the steam release of my wife's dish was a wow moment. But, none of this is relevant without the quality food. And, everything we had was fantastic.

We had called ahead to reserve a table and yet there was none available when we arrived. After waiting a bit, we were finally sat down but took about 30 minutes for the solo server to come by. She was clearly over-worked and exhausted and trying her best to keep it together but also in near tears. The food didn't even taste authentic - one of the dishes that should've had lemongrass actually had just basil instead. Maybe they ran out of ingredients? The corn fritters weren't fully cooked on the inside and doughy. And then, a homeless person high on drugs walked in and started asking each table for food. No one did anything about this and it made the whole experience even more awkward.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished.
