Expect a wait during dinner/weekends, but it goes by generally fast. Orders come out very quick too and the staff is constantly running around. My favorite cuts here include wagyu beef belly, short rib, rib fingers, brisket, tongue - so clearly I recommend the premium choice! Another standout is the salt selections - four choices, each with distinct flavors. The banchan and other sauces are also pretty good. Looking forward to coming back!

We got sat relatively fast for a Friday night and everything was going fine at first but after our first round of meats were ordered, our server would not tend to us for long periods of time. It was to the point that our grill was smoking and blackened for a long time and no one came to change it, despite multiple servers and busboys walking past to serve food to other tables. Furthermore, every time we tried to flag someone over to change our grill we never could because literally everyone actively avoided making eye contact with us and would walk away too fast to be heard. Then at some point during our dinner, our server just kind of disappeared entirely and we didn't see him for the rest of the night and he got replaced by some other guy but we never got any heads up about it, so it was just the cherry on top of an already very disappointing experience. The one silver lining was that food tasted good and the meat was higher quality than other kbbqs, but as I said in the beginning, both me and my partner have been having nonstop diarrhea since so good tasting food doesn't really matter. Neither of us had anything to eat besides Thirsty Cow that day so it couldn't have been anything else that we ate. For like $50 a person we expected much better service and no food poisoning, we won't be returning.

The have a fantastic happy hour with half off some of their drinks and half off certain appetizers and entrees (check thier website!). Their corn bread is a must with thier iconic japelpeno jam spread (though its not included on thier happy hour). They have great sides and appetizers, and haven't had one I didn't like! Their baby back, spare ribs, and brisket are fantastic with sauces on the side if you wanted to more BBQ sauce to your BBQ meat! Though in my opinion, I don't need it usually, as the meats are already so flavorful as is! I'd say its great for groups, though a bit pricy, but boy is this good, hearty, fall of the bone, BBQ! The servers have always been great and kind and even when we were celebrating a birthday last visit, they brought out a icecream Sundae with a candle! Very sweet! I talked to a man at the South Pasadena museum and told us that Gus's is the oldest BBQ establishment in California, serving hungry patrons since 1946. They haven't been in business in over 70 years for nothing! Thought it's been a long time, the place is still well maintained and updated so it still is nice and clean, but still keeping its historic core. Come by this meaty institution for their renowned classic American barbaque, with great libations, great food and amazing service with tasty history!

GELO is one of the best servers I have had! He was so attentive and accommodating and his bright personality made our day. Bonchon variety is abundant but I really just wanted cucumber and kimchi. KIMCHI wasn't my favorite but decent. STEAMED EGG and KIMCHI SOUP side by side was also a solid combo. Dip the egg in the soup for the true Korean approved experience. The TOFU SOUP had a lot of soft tofu but the broth was just ok. Great sides to the meat and I'd honestly get them again. Go to AYCE Korean BBQ spot for the area get pretty busy!

After being seated, we waited a long time before anyone came to our table to take care of us. Although our server seemed to be trying his best, the overall service still fell far below expectations. Rarely checked on us throughout the meal, our grill was changed once, and never came by to offer drink refills. The food quality has also gone downhill. The rice cup portions are drastically smaller than they used to be, and the meat quality was poor. It feels like the restaurant's overall operation and standards have really declined. For the price, this experience was unacceptable, and unfortunately we won't be returning. I don't recommend it at all!!!!!!

Besides the AB's, it calls for uber doses of protein for healing. The order was all protein. I had to throw it all away and went to bed hungry. I called and spoke to Miguel and Polita, the manager, this afternoon at HC. Not only was Polita incredibly gracious and apologetic, she and Miguel made good and bagged up my protein for tonight - with a few extras to make me smile through the pain. When I showed up with my walker - they were all smiles, love and gratitude to help someone in need. And, peeps, the grub was awesome. Probably 'cuz of all the love. This town can be pretty selfish - but these two young'uns showed up for the future. Amen!

Unfortunately, when we got there, we were turns away by the cashier. We got to the restaurant between 820 and 8:25 PM. knowing the restaurant closes at 9 PM, which we felt there was enough time. Went we decided what we wanted to eat, the cashier said we can only take out and not sit in the dining room. We were so upset because we drove 20 minutes out of our way to eat there. There was nothing posted about not being able to eat in the dining room after 830PM. This is a very bad business practice and the owner should talk to their employees about turning away guests. This review represents our experience trying to get a meal at Holy Cow, not on the food because we never had the opportunity to eat there. By the way there were several table occupied by guests eating. Very frustrating!!

The atmosphere at Road to Seoul is perfect for a semi-intimate, but high-energy dining experience. By the evening, the place is packed. Note that some tables are placed directly next to other tables, so you might be dining in very close proximity to other guests. The servers are extremely friendly and do a ton to make sure that all guests, regardless of familiarity with the AYCE KBBQ experience, feel welcome and comfortable. I appreciated the suggestions we received and assistance cutting some of the meats! During our first trip, my mother-in-law and I ordered Option B. During this visit, we ordered the beef bulgogi (superbly marinated), Road to Seoul steak (great flavor and cut), beef tongue (good, but frozen, so it took a while to cook), and corn cheese (came out in a cast-iron skillet and tasted great. My spouse is a vegetarian, and she ordered the veggie option, which is a fraction of the price of the meat options. While there weren't any BBQ options, my spouse enjoyed the soup and the unlimited ban chan (side dishes). I should note that the ban chan were great. I especially liked the pickled radishes, kimchi, and pancakes! This location had a tricky parking situation: there's a very small lot (~eight spots or so), but once it's full, you're stuck with street and alley parking (which, in Koreatown, is notoriously difficult). Overall, this is a solid option for AYCE KBBQ, especially if you have vegetarians in your group!
