Always love coming to Baekjeong for a kbbq fix! Super easy to make reservations thru Resy. Huge shoutout to our server, Frank!! He provided great service and was very attentive throughout our entire meal. Can't wait to come back again when we're craving again

Food: we ordered thinly sliced brisket, boneless short rib, and kimchi pancake! Our classic order, the meat quality is so good! The boneless short rib is perfectly marbled Service: we were helped by Mark and he was amazing! Super on top of it and fast! Ambiance: very busy on a Friday night! So glad we made a reservation on resy ahead of time

I have been dining at this location since it first opened in Irvine, and for a long time it was easily my favorite KBBQ spot in the area. The quality of the barbecue and the overall experience initially set a very high standard for me. Unfortunately, over the past few years, I have noticed a steady decline in both the food quality and the level of service. After my last three visits, it no longer feels like the experience justifies the price point. I understand that inflation has impacted restaurant costs everywhere, and I do not mind paying more for quality. However, when a dinner for two exceeds $200, customers naturally expect attentive service, consistency, and portions that reflect the cost. What disappointed me most was the noticeable reduction in the side dishes and the overall hospitality during recent visits. On one occasion, I asked for rice and was told the restaurant had run out entirely, which was honestly surprising for a Korean restaurant. Small details like this significantly affect the dining experience, especially at this price range. It is unfortunate because this used to be one of my favorite places to recommend in Irvine. With so many excellent and newer KBBQ options now available in the area, I will likely start exploring other restaurants moving forward. I truly hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works toward restoring the quality and service that originally made this place stand out.

The hype is real! After hearing so many people rave about this place, I was able to finally try it out for myself. It did not disappoint. Came on a weeknight for two and did not have to wait (major plus). We got the small beef combo, which our server mentioned was good for two. I preferred this option because I typically eat mostly beef at kbbq, and specifically the brisket. Also came with marinated boneless short rib, and choice of ribeye or boneless short rib (we got the ribeye because it already came with the marinated short rib). Let me tell you - this is QUALITY. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The corn cheese and other side dishes were also good. Got a side order of Hodong Ramen as well, but it was basically just a pack of instant spicy ramen noodles, so I wouldn't get this again. Been thinking about going back ever since, and might have to make another trip real soon. Spacious seating arrangement inside, good service (they cook for you), and parking was not an issue when I went.

We made a reservation on a Friday night and it helps SOOO much! Line was massive so I would definitely recommend to make a reservation. We got the favorite combo small and it was enough for 3 people tbh. Meat was good and it comes with cheese corn and steamed eggs and all thw sides! Servers and atmosphere was great and loud. I'd come back as a bigger group!

Another great recommendation from my daughter! We went in for dinner and were seated right away, which was a great start. She ordered the beef combo with brisket, marinated boneless short rib, and ribeye--everything was amazing. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Service was excellent as well. What really stood out is that they cook the meat for you, which I actually loved--it takes the guesswork out and ensures everything is done perfectly. Definitely one of the best Korean BBQ spots I've tried. We'll absolutely be back!

We came on a Saturday night and the wait was over an hour long. But the food was delicious. Rib eye was super tender, seafood pancake was right amount crispy and beef large intestine was amazing. Our servers, Mark and Frank, were also friendly and attentive, always making sure food is perfectly cooked and our side dishes are always full. Definitely would come back to this location again.

TL:DR - Uh, yum. Go eat Service - great. Hard workers serving up the food Ambiance - super loud. What did you say? Food - delicious. Marinated meat combo, galbi beef, and seasoned short rib. All wry good

Frank with the cool glasses! Talk about great service! Frank was super friendly and on top of everything. When I was the odd one of the group that liked my meat cooked a little longer he always made sure to put some meat aside just for me. Also, love that the restaurant takes reservations now on Resy, great for Amex members!

I always love coming here. Food is great, service is great, and overall vibe is great. It does get busy during dinner time but we were able to be seated and serviced. Our server Khue was especially helpful in making sure our dinner was enjoyed well. 10/10 would recommend.

Came to Baekjeong Irvine for some Korean Bbq on a Monday night and the food was amazing. We ordered the Large Beef Combo. The meat was fresh and high quality and the service by Mark and Presley was fast and efficient. They came to check in on us each moment they could and refilled our side dishes in a timely manner. I would definitely come back and try their other meat dishes as well.

Warning...don't over-order! Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids)...the marinated combo (small) should have been enough. We ended up also getting ramyun, fried dumpling, marinated galbi, and steamed egg. Waaaay too much food. The marinated combo was plenty of meat for us. The banchan side dishes are nice, especially the sweet potato. Service is great. They help to cook the meat, allowing families to enjoy the meal and not overwhelmed with cooking duty. Definitely will return.

After being fed several videos on IG singing the praises of Yoo's Place, I'll admit I was both…read morehopeful and skeptical of what they showed. The former because everything looked and sounded so good; the latter because it's hard to know whether you can trust what some of these foodie accounts are saying is truthful or paid for. Given how I write Yelp reviews, the irony in saying that doesn't escape me. However, now that I've been here several times, I can happily report that everything those IG accounts said was entirely true! Even though their complex isn't very large (parking is usually easy, but it can be scarce at time), Yoo's Place itself is decently large and always seems to have tables available for groups large or small. Similarly, their menu is rather extensive as well, to the point where it took us a while to figure out what we wanted to try most the first time we came here. Whether it be their appetizers, soups, stews, cold noodles, hot noodles, BBQ meats, stone pot dishes, bossam, broiled fish, galbijjim, and even omurice and Chinese dishes. In short, too many dishes for me to try before finally writing this! -- BANCHAN For the most part, all of these were great! Of the bunch, the fishcakes, kimchi, and radish were my favorites. I also like the kabocha a lot, but they sometimes slather too much mayo/sauce. -- HAEMUL PAJUN - Seafood & Green Onion Pancake As weird as it is to say, this almost came with too many goodies, as it was chock full of seafood and green onions. Definitely a nice problem to have, but I do wish there had been a bit more batter to make this crispier. -- HAEMUL KALGUKSU - Homemade Noodles with Seafood I don't get this often, so I don't know how it compares to others, but this tasted so good! The noodles had such a nice chew to them and I love that they didn't skimp on the seafood. Plus, the portion is large enough where you could easily stretch this into two meals! -- SEOLLEONG TANG - Ox Bone Soup Similar to the Haemul Kalguksu, this was one hearty bowl of soup! The broth was rich and beefy, there were several large chunks of meat, and there was a lot of noodles in this. Plus, I liked that they also included a lot of veggies and strips of eggs, too. -- DAKNALGAE TWIGIM - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Despite falling a bit short of what we hoped for, this was still pretty solid. While the portion initially seemed light (only about eight wings), each piece was HUGE, the batter was crispy, and the chicken itself was juicy. I just wish it had been a little more flavorful. -- LA GALBI & (SUKEO) SOON TOFU COMBO - Marinated Beef Short Rib and Seafood & Beef Soon Tofu Soup The LA Galbi was great - meaty, well marinated, tender, lightly charred, and the portion was sizable for a combo. As for the Soon Tofu, it was terrific! The tofu soup was rich and hearty, had a good mix of beef and seafood, and was just so comforting. -- JAJANG MYUN - Noodles with Black Bean, Pork, Cream Sauce Maybe it's because I haven't had a legit Korean Jajang Myun in ages, but this was pretty good! The noodles were perfect and I love how it came loaded with plenty of pork and onions. The sauce had a bit of an aftertaste to it, but I still liked this. -- KODUNGAE - Broiled Mackerel This was delicious! Compared to the one we had at BCD, this one was deboned better and was just as big, if not bigger. Plus, not only was it still really moist, but the mackerel still had some crispy edges, too. -- KALBIJJIM - Braised Short Ribs While I do wish this had more chili peppers in this (it was really yellow), the taste of this was still awesome. More importantly, there was a fair amount of short ribs, which were so tender and meaty, along with rice noodles, glass noodles, cheese, and vegetables. SO GOOD! -- NAENGMYUN - Sliced Beef & Vegetables over Noodles with Spicy Sauce This was on the house (possibly from ordering the kalbijjim) and, even though it might have been a scaled down version of the dish, this was still so good! The noodles had the perfect chew, there was just a touch of heat, and the overall flavors were amazing! In addition to the food, the service here is fantastic. All of the workers are super friendly and the kitchen gets dishes out very quickly. What's more, the workers will happily refill any banchan dishes and every table comes with a small thermos of beef bone broth that is just so PERFECTLY DELICIOUS! Even when it's hot out, it still hits the spot - it's just so warm and comforting! Honestly, it's one of my favorite things at Yoo's Place! With so many options in Irvine and around the rest of OC, I know there may very well be better places than Yoo's Place, especially when it comes to a specific dish. However, I can't imagine that Yoo's Place isn't among the best of the bunch. At the very least, it's the best I've tried thus far and I wouldn't hesitate to keep coming back even as I try more places in OC!

(Pretty sure it's just the owner) who was very friendly, but the other staff had a huge attitude, the girl who dropped off our side dishes dug her hands into the dishes to grab two at a time which was super unsanitary. She threw the last side dish on our table while she was walking away too. I wanted to be optimistic about the food even though the staff gave a terrible first impression. We ordered two soups. They were both super bland. My partner and I kept debating whether or not to ask for more salt because of the lack of seasoning in both of our meals. Even the side dishes were lacking flavor and looked like they were sitting out for a long time. The only good thing I have to say about this place is the kind lady (probably owner) of the restaurant. Everything else was a huge let down. I wanted to like the food here because there's a lot of good Korean restaurants in Irvine, and this could've been one of them but sadly it's not worth coming back.

Best decision of my late night misadventures in a long time! It was very filling (you could probably order one item and split it or have plenty of food for leftovers the next day), it's not inexpensive but it's great value (but then again $20 for a meal out is kind of going rate standard so maybe it is inexpensive or comparable to most anything else you could choose?), and it's great quality. The soup is a combo meal that comes with rice, glass noodles, fish cakes in sauce, and kimchi. You can also modify the spice level to make it more mild or spicy depending on your preference. I don't know why I am so obsessed with the soup but I'm going to think about it for a while because I was 100% lost in the sauce while eating it - after you get halfway you can put the rice, part of the kimchi, and (maybe) the fish cakes in the soup so it gets closer to porridge and break up some of the blood sausage to mix it throughout. Service is friendly and can recommend different things to eat. I got my order as takeout but the dining atmosphere is really good for how close each table is to one another. Everyone still has enough space to be on their own but because you're closer together it kind of feels communal.

First, parking wasn't bad. The shopping center isn't that big but it's not a busy center so I don't think it'll ever be an issue. The restaurant itself was clean and simple. Very mom and pop vibe. They have a good amount of seating. Restroom was very clean. Service was good, I had no issues. Please be patient with the staff as English is not some of their dominant languages. Staff was trying their best to help everyone. They were constantly checking in on us, refilling our Banchan, I thought they did great. Food was yummy and portions were huge! My friend and I shared the crispy garlic tofu. That was fresh and hot and not greasy! I enjoyed it! She had the Garlic Seolleongtang and she loved it. You saw the chunks of garlic, they were generous on the meat and the bowl was huge. I had beef spicy tofu soup and that was delicious and so filling. They were extremely generous on the tofu and I felt like I definitely got my protein intake in. The spice was just right, it looks so red but it wasn't that bad! I would definitely come back. It's a mom and pop shop I would support. I think it's underlooked and needs appreciation. My husband is from Irvine so we'll definitely be back next time we're in town visiting family.

The menu can be a little confusing but you get the gist of it. I tried the ox bone soup which comes with rice and some glass noodles. At $23.99, the price point was steep for the portion. I've gotten this for cheaper elsewhere for a similar taste.

This restaurant hits the spot in all the right places. "Tang" means hearty soup in Korean. I was in…read moreneed of some chicken soup for the soul, and all I could think about was Sam Gye Tang (Korean chicken soup). Tang n' tang was the first restaurant to pop up on yelp, so we ordered their take out. Their chicken soup was good! I prefer the whole chicken to be a tad bit softer, but the taste was spot on. They also packed us enough rice, and Korean side dishes. My husband ordered their other stew, and he enjoyed it as well. I look forward to visiting in person one day. Their menu offers many other tempting Korean dishes, soup and stews being their main attraction. Pick up was easy and on time, but nothing beats enjoying hot soup right on the spot.

Unfortunately, the service during my most recent visit yesterday was disappointing. When I arrived, the restaurant seemed busy, so I waited for about 3-5 minutes at the entrance. No one noticed me, so I added my name to the waitlist and waited nearby. After another 5-10 minutes, no one had called my name or checked on me. Then two other customers walked in and were seated before me. I was confused and surprised since I had been waiting much longer. After I went back inside they finally noticed and seated me. The server came and took my order, but I noticed something else. On my previous visits, I received two complimentary side dishes, which I thought was standard. This time, everyone around me seemed to receive them, but mine never arrived. It felt like my table had simply been forgotten. The food was still excellent, which is why I keep coming back, but the service experience this time left me disappointed. I hope this was just an off day because I genuinely enjoy the restaurant and would like to continue supporting it.
