Joe and team were great! They went above and beyond. I needed a 220 outlet for my electric car charger. Our electrical box couldn't be FURTHER from where the spot I wanted the outlet. Other electricians wanted to run a line around the base boarder of the house. But Joe was like, "No. We will run the line under the house through the crawl space." Makes SO MUCH SENSE! Not only did they instal the box for me, but they secured my charger and even attached the hose and handle cradle for me. We needed to replace our ancient circuit breaker box (the Smithsonian wanted it for their museum, haha) and add a couple of lines to the kitchen so that running two appliances at the same time would no longer cause electrical blackouts. We got bids from several electricians. Joe Madar was knowledgeable, reasonably priced and very honest; he suggested I contact DWP and he pulled proper permits for us so that everything would be on the up-and-up. (Other contractors told us not to bother with these steps, short-term thinking IMO.) The job turned out to be way bigger than anyone thought it would be, taking nearly week instead of a day and a half, but Joe and his team hung in there through half the weekend, completing the work in an exemplary manner and getting permit approval. Unfortunately they had to make big holes in the kitchen walls to do the new wiring in the kitchen. We were very worried about getting all this fixed, because our handyman charges by the hour. Joe called his associate Carlos Diaz (see my review at CD Painting & Home Remodeling) who came right over to take a look; his guys took care of us in one day at a very affordable fixed price. The kitchen looks great. Later when the DWP inspector came by, he asked for some additional work such as putting handles on one of the boxes. Joe came back several times in order to complete these requests. Throughout it all he was cheerful, upbeat and professional. Due to plumbing issues we had to redecorate our bathroom. In the process the wall heater burned out, so we found Madar Electric to give us an estimate. Our preference was to have a ceiling heater, fan and light installed, as well as new electrical sockets and light switch. They did it all for a very reasonable price. We need an additional light fixture installed in our entryway and the electrical switch in our dining room replaced.
