I started off by simply asking this Person if the vehicle I was interested we're still available, he responded not very long after and said it was and I simply asked if he was negotiable on the price Which he wasn't and that was fine with me. Then I asked a few more questions about the car when he became very condescending and rude in his demeanor when sending me messages. Even after I asked him to stop messaging me because I would not allow a person to talk to me in that way and let him know that he came across very unprofessional and I would never do business with a person like that. He still continued to send me messages. I found this person on Facebook marketplace and the person that wrote up the ad his name was Rex Skinner. That's why I believe the person I was speaking with with the owner but I could be wrong but nevertheless very unprofessional and I will never do business with this dealership ever in my life. Just wanna let you know if you're in the market for a car there's so many other dealerships out there that have real true commitment to excellence and professionalism. John at Skinner Auto was a pleasure to deal with. He has a very down to earth vibe and keeps a lot of transparency when talking about each vehicle I was looking at. Most sales guys will lie and cheat their way into getting you to sign on the bottom line. He made sure to match you with the right vehicle to suit your needs. I have already told several of my friends to go see him. Great selection of upper model vehicles. Highly recommend

    I had a deeply frustrating experience with Nissan of Clovis during what should have been a…read morestraightforward vehicle purchase process. Over the course of a week, communication was inconsistent at best and chaotic at worst. I was repeatedly bounced between different people, and there was never a clear, single point of contact who could actually walk me through the deal end-to-end. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of transparency around numbers. Despite multiple conversations, I was never provided a clean breakdown of pricing, terms, or structure. The only concrete figure that was ever consistently mentioned was a single payment offer--$770 over 75 months--which felt more like a pressure point than a properly explained deal structure. At one point, I was actually texted a deal by the dealership that I agreed to in good faith, only to have them later completely walk it back. I was told afterward that the third salesperson they had handed me off to had "misquoted" the numbers. That kind of internal confusion shouldn't be pushed onto a customer who is trying to finalize a purchase. Instead of clarity, I got vague answers, delays, and repeated promises that didn't turn into actual written numbers. Even basic follow-through--like clearly laying out the deal in writing--never materialized in a timely or professional way. By the end of the process, I didn't feel like I was working with a dealership trying to earn my business. It felt disorganized, opaque, and unnecessarily difficult for a buyer who was ready and willing to move forward under the right terms. I ultimately walked away because I couldn't get something as simple as a clean, transparent deal in writing.

Their service department moved to Clovis... In the past year, I have spent over 7,000 on repairs for this vehicle. Many are the result, I am sure, of the substandard vehicle. Many are the result of price gouging - how does a car need so many repairs in terms of leaks when it is being serviced faithfully and having multi point inspections each time? How do they miss such crucial issues? The service agent recommended that I purchase a new car, as my particular model is known to have these issues at the mileage that I have now attained - 132,000. I will keep the car for a while longer, but have it serviced elsewhere. I am pretty sure that I will end up not paying this much moving forward and have better outcomes...and if not, I will follow the advice of this particular service agent.
