My wife and I had lunch at C Casa and returned to the store at 12:30...not open, no one insight...we even called the number and no answer. Are they closed? What brought me back to memory lane was Converse high tops and the Stan Smith tennis shoes. Wow! These were my favorite shoes in the 70s, but at that time, everyone had to have them. We have progressed a lot in regards to quality and comfort, but those aforementioned shoes were functional, made well, and durable. As for the store, this boutique is really unique in that you wish you could buy one of everything. You can't say that about all shoe stores. They carry very nice shoes for the inventory they have. My wife bought a very nice purse. Typical of her buyer remorse mentality, she didn't like the color of the first one she took home. No problem, the friendly staff accepted the return (made easy since she just bought it a few days earlier and had a receipt) and she returned it for the same purse, but in a different color. I think On The Edge will be a great fit for the Bishop Ranch City Center, but you have to make sure you walk upstairs to check out the store.

I'm updating my previous review because Abraham Baiza went above and beyond to make things right…read more During my first two stringing experiences, I unfortunately ran into quality issues, including one racquet that was missing a string. It was definitely frustrating, but Abraham took my concerns seriously from the beginning. He personally reached out, apologized, offered to restring my racquet free of charge, and even provided a gift card for the inconvenience. What impressed me the most was that he didn't just fix my racquet--he worked to improve the process. When I picked it up today, I noticed they now attach a label showing the string type, tension, date, and stringer. That tells me they're focused on preventing mistakes in the future, not just fixing one complaint. Every business can make mistakes, but not every manager takes ownership the way Abraham did. His professionalism, communication, and commitment to improving the customer experience earned my trust back. Thank you, Abraham, and the Sports Basement team. I'll definitely be back for future stringing and would recommend them to other tennis players.

As well as better quality since it's like a private owned business and not a public one. The service overall was good at this place as the employees were helpful with guiding us to find stuff we were looking for. As well as helping my brother find a new bike for him to ride after his old one fell apart. When it comes to value that is where the problems set in as to why I am giving this place a 4/5. Lot of the stuff in this store is expensive and I do mean EXPENSIVE. It could be close to like 120 dollars for a pair of shoes which seems to be way more than most other retailers. And most of the other equipment could range up to 200-300 dollars as well which can make it frustrating to figure out what to spend your money on depending on the need. At least the store has plenty of equipment to choose from, as well as a range for you test stuff out and other useful features for equipment you want to rent. But I would only go here as a last resort if you can't go to a Dick's or find good pricing.

When I asked if she could kindly call the Hayward store to verify and ask if they could hold it for me, she flat out said no. I was shocked--the store was practically empty, with about five employees working and only three or four customers total. There was zero reason not to take two minutes to make a quick phone call. I walked out and called the Hayward store myself. Not only did they not have the shoe in stock, but when I asked the employee in Hayward if they normally call other stores to check stock for customers, she said yes, absolutely. I went back inside to speak with the manager and asked why his team refused to make a basic phone call for a customer. His facial expression showed complete indifference. It wasn't until after I brought the issue to his attention and complained that he finally picked up the landline to call around. Customer service here is extremely lacking. Employees seem unmotivated to do the bare minimum, and management only steps up after you call them out. I expect much better effort from a retail team.
