TheyMade was a huge disappointment. Their posted hours said they open at 12pm on Friday, so we planned a birthday outing for our three girls around that. We arrived at 11:50 and waited until 12:15 with three other groups also standing outside. Everyone was calling, and another mom even left a voicemail, but no one answered and the store never opened. We left for lunch and came back later, and they were still closed. No sign, no update, no communication. Disappointing, especially since this outing had been planned all week and involved multiple families. We ended up taking the girls to La Vie for nails instead, but it completely disrupted what was supposed to be a special day. read more

It was our first time at this store and we had a very disappointing experience. My child was in tears when we left there as she had spent over an hour making her shirt but had to leave without it. We were there on Sunday, 11/30. The person in the store who helped us took a while ironing the patches on my child's shirt. She then gave us the rhinestones to "bedazzle" the shirt. While we were adding the rhinestones, we noticed yellow patches around all the ironed patches. When we asked her, she asked us to cover this with some rhinestones. We didn't want to add so many rhinestones and told her the same. She then said it's closing time and we could come back another day and start over. It's the attitude of the employee that bothered me the most. She knew about the yellow patches (probably why it took her so long to iron the patches on) and instead of fixing the issue, handed us the shirt anyways. We spent so long decorating it before noticing the yellow patches and when we pointed it out, instead of being surprised or apologetic, she had a solution all ready for us. I did not want to buy a ruined shirt and pay full price for it, so I left it there. My child though, young and not always logical, was inconsolable as all her other friends had their shirts. read more

A Disheartening Experience That Dimmed Our Joy We've had lovely memories at this place--especially when we celebrated our child's birthday here in December. The creativity, the fun activities, and the concept were everything we had hoped for, and I genuinely appreciated the vision behind it and the effort by the owner and staff. That's what made today's experience all the more disheartening. My child was excited to return and design another denim jacket. We purchased the package--it is $79 for a denim jacket for kids &Adult, and 200 patch points, which is part of that denim jacket package --and began selecting patches. She had a wonderful time creating her design and handed it over for the final iron on to get the design. to reality. Meanwhile, I was charged $89 at checkout. When I politely asked about the discrepancy, I was told the price had increased but the menu hadn't been updated yet. Unfortunately, by that time, the transaction was complete and non-refundable. The feeling that settled in wasn't frustration about the money--it was about the principle. I value transparency, and this oversight made me feel blindsided. Though the staff did acknowledge my concern and attempted to correct it, they said their system wouldn't allow a reversal. She could have give me $10 in cash back atleast, instead she insisted on me getting more patches, why would i do to spoil my design?. I chose not to raise my voice in the shop then, especially with other families enjoying their time creating memories, but I left feeling let down and disappointed. If the owner of this shop get to see this, i request her to revisit her principles and ethics while running the business. It's not about the $10--it's about being honest with customers. Experiences like this take away the trust that makes places like these special. Would I return or recommend the place again as I did in the past? Regretfully, no. read more

Absolutely furious and beyond disappointed. We showed up with a group of excited girls ready to do a project. We checked the hours beforehand--online AND on the door--and it clearly said they were open. We arrived at 4 PM, drove over 30 minutes to get there, and the place was completely closed. No sign, no update, nothing. Just locked up and deserted. How do you run a business like this? You wasted our time and crushed the excitement of these kids. What a great concept for a store! My daughter recently attended a birthday party at this location where the birthday girl & guests were allowed to design and craft personalized t-shirts and a pair of sunglasses. It was such a fun and engaging activity that 90 minutes passed by very quickly (and frankly, felt a bit rushed). I do wish the party packages allowed for at least 2 hours. When all was said and done, the kids had a fashion show to show off their new creations. My kid really enjoyed this concept and has asked repeatedly to return to make some more one-of-a-kind clothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was very sweet to my child and tried to help when she accidentally got craft glue in her eyebrow while making the jeweled sunglasses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily, it was a small amount and I was able to trim it off at home. (However, the glue is very sticky and hard to get off so if you have active kids or kids with long hair; beware!!!) Other than that, we loved the shop, and the stuff we made that doubled as party souvenirs. So happy to support another local small business! read more

What a fun and creative concept. We have been twice first time we made sweatshirts. The 2nd dresses. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff both times were great to work with and very helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Reason for 3 stars The quality was an issue with the sweatshirts. One had pilling balls under the arms immediately even before washing. Both sweatshirts washed the same way. One developed tons of balls under the arms. The other sweatshirt no pills but, patches came off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Owner was kind in her response to bring the items back in for repair.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pills no way to fix but, patches were pressed back on. During this visit we made dresses. My daughter wears a 7 and selected the size 8 dress without trying on. When she got it home it was unwearable. Don't make the same mistake we did. Try on before personalizing. Size 8 is the biggest size in the dress which fits more like a 6. She was in tears. I hope new merchandise will come in with true sizing, and better quality. They Made is so unique and fun.
