The dentist was kind. And worked with my schedule and even allowed me to be seen even though I was 15 min late for the appointment. I had a 2 year old with me and during the cleaning the whole team did everything they could to entertain her. I visited this place for dental cleaning. The lady at front desk her name is "Lauren" asked me if I had dental insurance. I told her I have Delta dental Washington. Since I didn't have my membership on me, she required I give her my social number. I provided her with social number. After supposedly verifying, She scheduled me for X-ray the next day. when I show up for next day she told me that my insurance is "in-network with no deductible" She also offered to get me in the same day because they had open spot available. As I agree, she rushed me to the back of the room to do X-ray and cleaning. Once I am in a dental engine, the came to the room where I was leaned to my ears said there wI'll be some out of pocket incurring. when the hygienist finishes deep cleaning on one side I go to the front desk to ask about next appointment. She told me my insurance is not PPO I have to pay for everything out of pocket. This is blatant Scam Stay away from this place!! read more

Denise is so gentle I don't even know I've been there a day later except that I'm still smiling afterwords from the fun conversations (although sometimes one sided ) and my smile is shinier! I visited OTD for the first time with the intent of just completing a standard cleaning (which I do every 6 months). They are required to complete an exam for new patients, but I was surprised at the number of x-rays and extra effort they put in. At first, I was impressed. But, after all was said and done they had recommendations for everything from a night bite-guards to cosmetic work to new fillings (mine are new!) to advanced cleaning to whitening. I couldn't believe it. I was so uncomfortable I considered not going back for the cleaning. This is not the kind of behavior I would expect from a dentist! Two weeks later I returned for the cleaning, which went uneventfully and expertly. While my mouth was pried open I had the pleasure of listening to smooth jazz and hearing a constant sales pitch from the hygienist. The dentist repeated the used-car salesman theme. After all that, they convinced not to make an appointment for another cleaning (and to consider the other work). I did decide to just go with a cleaning and called later that week. Now, six months later, when I showed up for my appointment they had no record of it. Instead, of course, they offered to fit me in the next opening to complete the other recommended work -- but they didn't have a space for cleaning! I politely walked out. My last adventure will be getting my records for my long-time dentist, Dr. Fok on Greenwood, who now takes my Aetna insurance. I've heard OTD only gives poor quality copies of x-rays to other dentists rather than the real thing. Wish me luck. My experience with OTD is in line with others at Judy's Book. read more

I had a great experience here last week. The office is conveniently located with lots of parking and a nice waiting area. The dental assistant who did my x-rays and cleaning was very sweet--talkative enough to keep my mind off of things, but very thorough, attentive, and gentle, and let me know everything she was doing and what her recommendations were. The dentist only came in for a cursory second look at the end of my exam, but he was very nice too. The entire visit only took about 45 minutes, and I was sent home with a bag of floss, toothpastes, toothbrush, and chapstick, and told I'd be sent a reminder card for my next cleaning if I didn't want to schedule an appointment right away. Also, when I made the initial call to book the appointment as a new patient, the person I spoke with was super friendly and called my insurance for me to figure out what my coverage was. All in all, a great and uncomplicated experience. I will definitely be back! read more

Visited this office for some dental work. 1st time they cleaned my teeth and did a good job. 2nd time had them pull a wisdom tooth. Started having severe pain and called them and they said I needed some more pain meds. 3 weeks later still in pain and they finally thought it would be best to come back for a visit so I did. This time I seen a new Dr. And he quilt noticed a piece of bone sticking out of my gum. He pulled it 1 week later was at 100%. 3rd visit there I had them fix a filling which had chipped. I asked before hand what to expect as far as price goes. They gave me a estimated price of no more than $325.00 so I was fine with that. So I went there and the Dr. Fixed my filling in about 30 mins and I was on my way. Went to the front counter and they handed me a bill for over $800.00 bucks! I about Shi$€$ my pants!!!!!! All I had was $350.00 bucks to my name and refused to pay it because I was given a price up front of no more than $350.00 so I said no way! Well they kept calling and harassing me which I felt I didn't owe them no more than $350.00 for a single filling period. So time goes on didn't hear from them so my wife gets her check garnished for $938.00 from them due to my account! Thanks Oak Tree Dental for screwing us over! So after all this the filling I paid almost $1500.00 after its all said and done fell out 2 months after the work was completed! So I paid Another Dr. To fix there bunk A$$ work a second time. Beware these people are horrible and does sloppy work at best beware!!!!!!! read more

I scheduled my first cleaning appointment here (after 6 years and several state to state moves) after I received a postcard in the mail for a free initial exam. I read a few bad a few good reviews here and since they took my insurance, I decided to go for it. They were so great! The office is on Aurora (yuck) but it's a really nice office inside, with a fireplace, and seems bigger (compared to my last "family" dentist whose practice was in an old house), but not unwelcome or anything like that. Everyone (including the receptionist, financial person, and some hygenists passing by) were very attentive and walked me through all the steps of the initial exam and cleaning, and were very thorough. My husband and I took a long lunch and both went in at the same time. The dental hygenist, assistant, and dentist all switched back and forth between us to ensure the quickest time completion. The dental assistant did a gum-measurement after the x-rays were taken (which were digital-yay), which let her know how deep of a cleaning was needed. I got a regular cleaning with some extra ultra-sonic cleaning first. It was a bit painful, but not bad considering I hadn't been to the dentist in 6 years. She made sure I was as comfortable as possible, including giving me sunglasses to shield my ultra-sensitive eyes from the bright light. The whole thing took about an hour and a half, including the dentist's exam. The dentist suggested I get my one filling re-filled since there was some additional damage behind the filling, but they didn't pressure me into making an appointment right away. They didn't chide me for not flossing every day, and gave me some advice and free flouride products to take home. The financial adviser person took care of the whole insurance deal, and just gave me the breakdown of what they would cover and what I would have to pay. I ended up not having to pay for that visit at all! I'm going in for my filling next week. I am very happy with this dentist and glad I chose them! read more

This is the one and only dentist, hygienist and staff (or any doctor for that matter) that I have ever given a five-star rating, My last experience was less than stellar. The aging dentist and his receptionist were preoccupied with giving each other hand signals while he rushed to finish and get me out of the office (he didn't bother to floss or polish) . I happened to look up while they were signalling. Very unprofessional and disturbing. Dr. Moins is professional, friendly, competent and efficient. He explains what and why he does a procedure. So does Denise, my hygienist. The office staff are wonderful as well. I appreciate them all and highly recommend this dental practice. read more

I started going to OTD when I got a coupon for a free cleaning about 6 years ago. I have been a happy and loyal patient ever since. I love the whole staff! I refer these guys to everyone; even my ex-husband and his new family go here. I feel like we're all a part of the family. We recently moved to a new house further north and were considering switching to a closer dentist as a result. But after my most recent experience, Dr. Taba and Oak Tree Dental earned my long-term loyalty! My most recent experience was getting a filling by Dr. Taba. First, I was blown away with the accommodating service at the front desk. I arrived with a toddler who fell asleep in my car. Waking him up at that point would have resulted in an emotional meltdown disaster. The receptionist immediately understood the situation and proposed putting chairs together so my son could take a nap while I got my filling. It worked! He slept peacefully in the lounge area the entire timeo. So that alone earned a 5-star rating. I was also impressed by the professionalism, skill, and speed with which my filling was provided by Dr. Taba and his assistant. The Owner, Dr Taba and Dr Moin are both relatively new. The rest of the staff have been relatively stable. Leela is, by far, the BEST hygienist I have ever seen! She is focused, quick, accurate, gentle, and very thorough. Plus she has small hands! If she left, I would likely seek follow her to where ever she goes. She is, quietly, a MAJOR asset to the practice. Dr. Imhan Moin was also very good. He took time with me, and provided new ideas on my very difficult dental situation. I am a 45 year old missing teeth #9 and 10 plus quite a bit of bone on the frontal ridge. I have stalled out on the restoration process for several years because I lacked confidence in the options presented to me previously. If Imhan follows through on checking my past records and helping to develop a viable plan forward, I would be very impressed. I went to Oaktree on a recommendation from 1800 dentist at first I was Leary because I thought 1800 dentist would give a generic referral because I never used them. The staff is very nice, the office very clean and my dentist Dr. Moin is the most kind and general dentist I ever had. If I would have always had him I would not have had a fear of dental chairs. He is very detailed about his work and makes sure he explains every detail. Wonderful experience for me and I hope up and coming dentist follow in his patient care. read more

I heart Oak Tree Dental Care! I recently moved from the neighborhood where Oak Tree is located and I now have to commute 20 miles to get there. Stay away from this dental office at all cost. They have a fraudulent dentist named Ronald Winn. This dentist set up a shop in West Seattle, overcharged his victims and then hightailed out of town to quietly find his next set of victims. He claims his office is bankrupt and sent all his clients to collections. Deplorable. People actually want to go to a dentist and seek real help. Because of him I may never go to a dentist again. I can't even say enough good things about the entire team at Oak Tree Dental. I have been a patient for well over 7 years and I have yet to be unsatisfied. My experience at Oak Tree Family Dental Care was wonderful. It is truly a "family" type atmosphere. Michael Huynhsand the rest of the staff bend over backwards to make sure you are comfortable and at ease. Do they occasionally mention work that needs to be or could be done...of course they do...all dentists do. I feel really strange writing this review as I know not just here but on Google, etc., people seem to have had fairly bad experiences with Oak Tree Dental. I, on the other hand, have had nothing but positive ones. They never offered me sales pitches on anything and the only things they suggested to me were things I already knew, based on my family dental history, needed to be fixed anyway. I've never had a problem with the billing or the hygienists. It's always been a positive experience for me. Maybe I'm just lucky. *shrugs* read more

When I tried this new place for my regular cleaning and check-up, they told me that I had 3 new cavities. I found that odd since I have only had one very small cavity before - ever. When I expressed my concern, I was made to feel like I didn't know my own body and that I needed these fillings right away. They sent me away with my "plan" for care - with several hundred dollars to be paid by me when the work was done since insurance only covers 80% of fillings. I couldn't shake the feeling that something just wasn't right. When I had been waiting in the lobby for my appointment, every person that came out (and there were a surprising large number for such a short period of time!) had to set up appointments for their "plan" for major work to be done. Lucky for me, a co-worker recommended that I get a second opinion from Dr. Larry Adatto. He found that I did not have ANY cavities! I have been going to him ever since and am thrilled with my experiences there (and how often can you say that about a dentist??). read more

I paid for a Root Canal and Crown less than 2 yrs ago, very expensive, almost 2 grand out of pocket with my "good" insurance..it was an EPIC FAIL! It is infected and causing me excruciating pain and now has to be extracted. I called today to see if they are liable at all and they had the attitude of nothing is a "sure thing" and have and hold no ethical or moral obligation to their work which I find disgusting and saddening, I would NEVER reccomend this dental office of horrrs to anyone, The dentist will get his in karma.... read more

(I am sure that everything about this place has changed since the last reviews were written. Their website and business name are both different now.) I had a great experience here. I got a card in the mail for a free exam and x-rays, which I went in for. The staff were all very warm, friendly, and good humored. They didn't pressure me in any way. I made an appointment to go back for a cleaning and to have a cavity filled. Everything was fast and painless. I found the prices here to be reasonable (I don't have insurance) and they have ways to work with you if you have to make payments. The dentist I saw, Dr. Tataba, explained to me a few things about my teeth to save me from having to get more work done later. Overall I liked everything about this office, and I appreciated that they gave me advice instead of trying to talk me into more dental work. I will continue to go here in the future. read more
