Half Chicken Dark with Plaintain and Yuca

Madina Pollo Reina is truly a Herndon gem. They have what o would consider to be the best Peruvian chicken in the area, at a more than fair price. They have a wide range of sides. Their yuca and plantains are knocked out of the park, along with the best tres leches I have had to date, the portions are massive and you feel like you received a good value for what you paid. Staff is always nice, and the inside is always clean. Definitely give one of the top chicken spots in NOVA a visit.

Great menu selection and friendly service. The portions are generous here- more so than at Pollo Peru. Price for the triple delight at $18.99 a more Chinese influenced dish was too steep I felt and drenched in sauce so wouldn't order that dish from again Main staples like the Peruvian chicken were good/decent. Tender and large pieces. The seasoning they use is different than other Peruvian places I've been. Not bad but I don't like it as much. I ordered the pickled onions but it was missed with my order.

Dope place! Really good and clean food. The staff and service are really good and hospitable. Love getting their dark meat plate and as you can see, they pack in the rice.

Mango dessert, it takes time to get used hit addicting after several sips.

I am so glad to have discovered another Spanish restaurant that carries only halal products. I landed here by coincidence and what a great find this was. We arrived at 9:00 pm which was 30 minutes before closing and they took care of us with big smiles and did not make us feel rushed at all. We ordered the Lomo soltado, triple delight and steak quesadillas and each item was delicious and mouthwatering. The triple delight was very flavorful and had plenty of broccoli and proteins. Look soltado was very flavor. The steak quesadilla had plenty of steak and came with side of guacamole and sour cream. Everything was served fresh and hot from scratch. We also tried the Alajores for dessert and they were shaped like little chickens and tasted so good that my son was rushing me with the photo and wanted to keep eating them without stop. This is a great restaurant with large and delicious portions, great customer service and best of all halal options. We will definitely visit here again and again and again and probably again before the next person has the opportunity to write their 5 star review.

came in to pick up lunch for our vendor coming in from FL. the guy at the front was quick to greet me and to let me pick my entree and sides. I ordered a whole chicken for the IT guys and they really enjoyed it. I had half a chicken for myself and he let me get two drumsticks! the rub on the chicken is slightly spicy but good. it wasn't overwhelming and paired well with the tender and juicy chicken. the plantains were well cooked and were not dry either. I'd be back for sure. this is one of my new favorite spots for Peruvian chicken plus the customer service was great!

Chicken comes cut into sections easy for sharing.

Here visiting my sister in Ashburn, Va. Used YELP to locate a nice Peruvian restaurant that I could order my son, who has dietary restrictions, a nice Peruvian chicken meal. We ordered via Uber Eats. Within our order I requested certain additions to our meal that we ordered like onions and lettuce be added to our Steak tacos and additional green sauce for the yuca. All of the additions we requested were acknowledged and delivered. We ordered the whole chicken, yuca, french fries, steak tacos, and churros. Pros: Meal arrived warm even though my sister lives 20 minutes away from the actual restaurant. The whole chicken was moist and very flavorful. Churros were AMAZING!!! Correct balance of sweetness and crunch. The filling is amazing of Carmel and cherry in others. My family ate those before we even had a chance to sit for dinner. The portions are very plentiful!! Cons: Ordered the Steak tacos and received the chicken tacos. The chicken in the tacos were very dry and we ended up throwing them away which saddened me because I was looking forward to eating them. I would definitely like to try again and this time go there myself and eat. Definitely worth your visit and business!!!

I received several strong recommendations for this Peruvian chicken restaurant, so I stopped by with a friend one day to try it out. Although located in an older part of Herndon, Virginia, the small strip mall where Madina is located is new and bright. Good location. I ordered the Pollo Saltado ("jumped chicken"), and my friend ordered the Carne Asada (steak). The chicken came with a good amount of white rice and was mixed with onions and tomatoes, all cooked in a wok. Two sauces are given on the side- a slightly spicy green sauce and a mayonnaise-based creamy sauce. You can ask for hot red sauce if you'd like to spice it up. I have to say that I didn't enjoy the chicken at first when I ate the ingredients separately. I mixed everything together, including the rice and the sauces, and at that point, some real taste was coming through via the melding of flavors. Not the greatest chicken dish I've had, and still pretty good. Everything seemed quite fresh as well. The fries in the chicken dish do not work, though. The base should be rice, not soggy potatoes. My friend's steak did not fare quite as well. His steak was tough and not quite as flavorful as it could have been. Probably not very fresh. He enjoyed the plantains and black beans on the side. We liked our fruit juices- pineapple and mango. It made for a more authentic experience. All in all, this place is a decent lunch spot. It is divey, and just misses the mark on its main attraction--the meat. Too bad.

A friend had received recommendation for this place so last Friday we decided to try it. We arrived around 1:30pm. The dinning area was clean, bathrooms were spotless. The overall appearance of the restaurant seemed very clean, I know this is a new place but I hope the cleanliness is maintained cuz I was impressed. The menu offers a variety of options not just the famous rotasary chicken but a lot more..... We ordered half a chicken and one order of beef Saltados. Chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The coleslaw and vegetables were delicious and complimented the chicken. The Saltados was very good. The beef was tender and delicious, the onions and tomatoes were cooked to perfection. The carmalization of the onion and the juice of the tomatoes added an additional flavor to the dish. The Yoka and the side of rice were cook perfectly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was friendly and welcoming. The servers were extremely poilet and courteous. The gentleman behind the register, may have the owner, was hospitable and humble. Two servers and the guy behind the register asked us several times about our food. For a semi fast food place the hospitality and care made our experience memorable. Overall the quality, quantity, and the price of this place is very attractive and if they continue this path the business will thrive. We will come back, again and again. Please see pictures of our empty plates for the rest of the story.

Went with my Peruvian wife for lunch. We ordered a whole chicken. It came out at room temperature. Decent taste. The rice was alright. The French fries were good. The staff was nice. The bathroom was clean. I didn't like that they had all of these scented air freshener clips in the restaurant that took away from the smell of food. Overall, it's not a bad spot, but the food was average at best.

I wanted to wait and give a review after the first time as I hoped it wasn't one of those, ("the first time it was great! The second time...not so much.), let me reassure you that was not the case with Autentico! On my first visit, I had a seafood selection, and it was so fresh and so good! I was also checking out my buddy's chunks of beef that were part of his meal, and wanted that too! He gave me a chunk and it was so tender, juicy and good, I knew on my next visit, I would have to order some form of their steak! The service was spot on, and food order time to table, was exceptional! My next visit came yesterday, and yes I ordered a steak! It was a late Friday afternoon, and even though they were busy with a few large tables of people, service was still outstanding and the food was even better than the first time! If you have read some of my reviews, by the time I think to take pictures, there's not much left to take a picture of! Also, I know some people just take pictures and not much else, and while something can look really good in a photo, you have to dig into it to unearth what's really good about the dish, and everything I have tried at Autentico, was superb! I ordered the NY Strip with fries and instead of the rice that comes with it, I asked if I could substitute veggies for the rice? They said no problem! While the first time I had a couple bottles of their Corona, which was very cold and was also provided with a frosted glass, this time I asked for a Modelo Especial. I was told they had it on tap! Major points, as I love all of Modelo's products especially the stouts! It was just my buddy from work this time and me, and we had such a great meal and the ambiance was awesome! I had joked my first time visiting there while driving in, that there was an Irish resturant right next to it! I mentioned that we should go there after for a couple pints. We never got around to it, as we were too full both times to make it in. But that resturant is in the back of my mind for a future visit! So if you do go to Autentico, you won't be disappointed. It's a great location that's worth the drive, and an exceptional resturant!

The only downside was the limited and not very clean restrooms during a busy event. First, let's give an applause to their social media team for helping me discover this place. The game day promotions caught my attention, and they absolutely delivered. The decor, atmosphere, and energy were all fantastic. You could tell Inca Social was well prepared, with a fully staffed team that stayed attentive throughout our visit. Whether it was quickly finding us an extra chair or constantly refilling our water, the service was excellent. The food was equally impressive. I highly recommend the lomo saltado, and the pasta served alongside it was surprisingly delicious. The Inca Balls were also a great appetizer with a light, crispy exterior and a savory filling. The drinks were solid as well and rounded out the experience nicely. My only complaint is that there are only two restrooms, and given how busy the restaurant was, they weren't as clean as I would have hoped. Food selection was smaller, food was not worth the price and service was awful. We did not have a reservation but saw several tables open. They sat us near the welcome booth as we were a family of 5. We were given menus but not enough utensils and thought eventually we would get it along with the menus. There seem to be a huddle of employees in the entrance of booth and the waiter did not show up for another 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes passed and a different waitress showed up asking if we were ready. She did not tell us of any specials and we had to ask her the price of the bistec a lo pobre which she said was $26. We also asked her about other items we saw at the online menu but she said they weren't available. We decided to stay and order ceviche, lomo saltado, anticuchos and bistec a lo pobre. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a chicha. There was no physical menu for children and she verbally told us the options. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my toddler. She took our orders and food came out after 15 minutes. The meat was missing the sauce the menu said it came with, the ceviche tasted very lemony and the chicken tenders were more like chicken balls. The waitress never showed up with our drinks and we decided to just eat and go as the staff seemed to want to socialize more than tend to the customers. Once we were done, we asked for boxes and the check. Apparently, gratuity was already included and maybe thats why the service was so bad? She hardly came to check on us and to top it off she was surprised when we told her drinks never showed up to please take it off check. She didn't apologize or asked how the food was. She gave us boxes and off we left. Later, we realized the bistec a lo pobre was $28 instead of $26 and we had ordered two. I just wanted to leave at that point and not wait another 5 minutes for waitress to fix her mistake. The ad, as shown in picture, said all moms receive a flower but I guess having three kids with me wasn't enough for me to get one. We also noticed when we left their website said a party of 6 or more has gratuity included but we were a party of 5. What is shown online is very different than what you get in person and if the food was great I would gladly go back for at least takeout. Food is not worth it, the service for Mother's Day made it worst and the environment was mediocre at best. Prices were inconsistent and menu is not appealing. Not sure what happened here but changes should be made at least for Mother's Day.
