We hired Madmax BBQ to cater for our gathering of 60 friends at a friend's farm. It was the best decisions and investments ever! We ordered 4 meats (chicken, ribs, brisket, and sausage) and the standard sides beans and potato salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. People raved it was some of the best BBQ they have ever had. I would agree. Plus it was fun to have your own personal food truck! The booking process was very easy and professional. The team arrived with their truck on time with all the necessary supplies (plates, utensils) so there was no stress with preparation, shopping, cooking, or after party cleaning. Pricing was very competitive and reasonable. Portions were extremely generous. We hired them to serve for 4 hours, and had enough food left which the team boxed up and gave to us at the end. The first time i had a rib sandwich my cousin had brought it to me because i was hungry and at work. I started eating and she pulled her sandwich out , she had the MacDaddy. I asked for a bite and omg. I had to have one for myself. The next day i was off took a friend abs got her hooked. I asked for a different sandwich and he said i never did that before. He asked for a name and my daughter and i looked at each other and both said the MAC SUPREME. I have turned allot of people on to MADMAX BBQ and they luv it. This is the ABSOLUTE BEST BARBQUE in Houston. I pulled up late in the evening and was greeted by the owner. This man is awesome. He asked me what I wanted....sausage and ribs for my family. While, he was making my order we talked about an event that he sponsored in the community, he told me about his menu and even let me sample some shrimp. Baby, this shrimp was everything. This man must have received an A++++++ in Customer Service 101. The food: The smoke from the pit was speaking to my soul. Really, my soul. The ribs and sausage was absolutely amazing. AWESOME! I stumbled across Mad Max in a parking lot months ago and feel like I hit the jackpot. I am from Kansas City and my husband is from Fort Worth. In those places you grow up with barbeque like it was the air you breathe and can't imagine life without it. Different places have their own unique sauces but the absolute key thing is how you smoke the meat. Every bite should be succulent and infused with flavor. I had found bad to marginal barbeque in Houston until Mad Max. It was amazing and totally lives up the barbeque capitals' fare. We recently ran to get some to feed a crowd and we had ribs, brisket, and sausage which were all fantastic. Haven't had the chicken. We always get any sauce on the side. This is by far, the best BBQ I've ever had!! My husband and I was driving around last Sat. looking for something to eat. We stumble on this place my accident,boy.... am I glad that we did! Very good down south BBQ. The serving size and portions are great. The owner truly treats all of his customers like family which is great. It's rare to find excellent food and great customer service to go with. I definitely will come back and try the turkey. Great Great Great!!! Ordered two slabs of ribs for Super Bowl Sunday and they were delicious. The ribs were so tender you could pull the bone out with just your fingers and tasted great straight out the pit with no need for sauce. Some of the best BBQ in the country. The ribs literally fell off the bone and the rub had just enough bite to make the flavor perfect. When I visited his restaurant he talked to me about how he helped out the flood victims and he closed his restaurant down for about 2 weeks.
