CorkScrew BBQ definitely lives up to their name by receiving a Michelin Star achievement. Visited on Saturday and will have to say it is worth the wait. While parking space is limited, there is a lot of space to dine both indoor and outdoor. Both are provided with a shade cover and fans. The services is amazing having servers provide drinks when waiting outside and holding up the crowded lobby well by keeping it clean and restocking necessities to customers. The food was well presented and exceeded tasting expectations. Highly recommend to try and will definitely be back!

Had just enough time to stop here for lunch before going to the airport. There was a line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly. We got some ribs, moist brisket, and a jalapeño cheese link to share. The ribs were the best I've ever had!!! The brisket and sausage were some of the best bbq I've ever had, as well. The ribs were clearly my favorite, so I ate more of those. They had the right amount of smoke flavor and seasoning, and they were perfectly fall-off-the-bone, but still had a little bite to them. In other words, perfect! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. All around a wonderful experience. I really hope we can come back next time we're in the area, and order a full spread with sides and everything!

    It's open time!

This place is packed always!! I spent an hour for this at 1 to 2p. One family sized Potato Salad, pint of Coleslaw and of Baked Beans. $38! Place is cute and Jam packed. I tasted each one on my drive home. The Coleslaw has changed. It was so much better before and not so spicy. More Asian flavor. Potato Salad is loaded with uncut dill. Making me think Grillo's Pickles are used. It has uncut baby spinach too. Baked Beans are good, but very spicy. The changes were very noticeable to me. Out of Turkey at 1p because theirs is the best! Great service and staff. Our Ribs on the pit at home. Only took one of sides because it was to go.

CORKSCREW BBQ is Houston's Michelin star restaurant! It is about 30 minutes drive north of Houston, which isn't super bad. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday 11AM-4PM. We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

You can smell it before you walk in that's always an amazing sign. Off the top the menu is in your face on a blackboard with items they have left. So you know before ordering. We got brisket sandwiches ( tender but could use more flavor) loaded baked potato (good) and garlic sausage(nice pop of skin and good flavor). The service was amazing! He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Also they have a signature soda machine, extra points on that. Good BBQ for the area.

    Bbq outside just nice.

I showed up at 2 on a Friday. Didn't have to wait long and they were only out of potatoes. I call that a win instead of waiting hours like people claim. Solid bbq but nothing was amazing. Maybe I had higher expectations but they didn't meet them. Service was good. I don't like just one bbq sauce. I feel it makes all the bbq the same. I did like theirs. It wasn't too sweet. Just would like spicy and vinegar etc. The best of what I tried was the turkey. Moist and smoked right. The brisket was good but texture was off. Very mushy but tender. Maybe I'll try the lean next time. All meats were tender which is good. The rib was just ok to me. Pickles weee good. The beans were great not sweet and went well. The Mac was ok nothing special. The Apple cobbler was fantastic. Like an Apple cinnamon roll. Enjoyed.

Stopped by Corkscrew BBQ for lunch on a random Tuesday and had no idea it was a Michelin-recognized spot--definitely explains the crowd! We thought showing up at noon would beat the rush... nope. The line was packed, but honestly, everything was so well organized that it moved pretty quickly. Seating was something we were initially worried about, but it ended up not being an issue at all. There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and the outdoor area is huge. As for the food--everything was phenomenal. I had the jalapeño sausage and a baked potato (which was HUGE), and my husband got the brisket. Both were spot on. The mac and cheese was good too, just had a slight aftertaste, but nothing that took away from the overall meal. I also grabbed a turkey salad to go, and that did not disappoint. Customer service was great across the board--the team was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth, even with the crowd. Overall, such a cool spot and definitely worth the hype. I've heard the cobbler is a must-try, so that's next on the list. Glad this place isn't too far--I'll absolutely be back!

Wow, absolutely lives up to the hype, and worth the wait. PRO TIP: Come before opening (at least 30 mins or 1 hour) and go to the binder to pick up your number. First 30 or so gets a paper number and you can just wait in your car or walk around. Make sure you are back by 10:45am and walk in according to your number. Best brisket ever. Never tasted anything like that before. I ordered the moist and it melts in your mouth. Pork ribs were also amazing. Took the rest and flew it back to California. Staff was funny and friendly. It was a great atmosphere and there were plenty of sestings outside.

Great BBQ. WORTH THE WAIT every single time. Make sure you're there close enough to opening or you'll risk them selling out. I love the pulled pork and brisket. Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage is always a must. Great food and excellent service.

Crazy enough only my second time coming here after moving to the area several years ago. Amazing food; we didn't show up at opening either. We went there around 1 PM and got in a line that moved consistently .They still had everything. Delicious brisket sandwich with queso, although probably needed, The brisket was so flavorful and smoky, it drowned out the queso to be honest, but I wanted to give it a try. Next time I would just get the plain brisket. I also got the single rib, and honestly, I regretted not getting a big fiat slab of ribs after tasting it; freaking amazing. Best rib of my life . Potato salad was also amazing. The rest of the family loved what they got as well. My brother that was in town for my son's graduation, he got the pulled pork sandwich and thought it was the best he had had in his life.

Yeehaw I'm smokin' - this place here is a MUST when you visit Texas. It's in Old Town Springs a cute little town with little shops all around. This place is so popular with the locals you have to either go early to stand in line or you can place your order on line and you are guaranteed all the delish things. I HIGHLY recommend that you do an online order. Want to do an online order that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to take your food home. You can place your online order and when you get to the place you send them a text advising them that you have arrived and you can enjoy your food there inside or outside seating area. Your online order will not be sitting waiting for you so it's fresh and hot when you get it. Since I'm visiting I decided to get a little bit of everything I thought I would like. I did like a family style order because I had my family of 5 with me. We ate ribs, pulled pork, turkey, moist brisket, Mac n cheese, coleslaw, baked beans & potato salad. Also since I love me a good baked potato with brisket I had to get one. Thankfully I ordered it online because when I arrived it was already sold out and that was around noon. All the meats were seasoned very well and the baked potato was my favorite it was big enough to share with someone else. It was cooked perfectly soft and so packed with all the toppings and the perfect amount of chopped brisket. As done for the sides I wasn't a fan of the coleslaw or the beans but my other family members loved them. The staff was very friendly and super nice always asking if we needed anything or refills and they helped take your trash when you are done. My other favorite thing other than the food was that they had take away containers for all the leftovers even for your sauces. I will say they are better than a bunch of other BBQ places that are a chain. If you plan to come to Houston, Texas or surrounding areas you have to add this place to your list. Trust me you will love it and want it all the time

If you're driving by someplace and the line is around the corner... stop and wait on line! This place is amazing and worth the wait! Brisket Ribs Pulled pork Cobbler Everything is epic!

My mouth is literally salivating just thinking about the amazing meal we had here! Honey, I got the brisket with all the fat to go and instantly wished I had dined in so I could order more. It was hands down the best brisket I've ever had!!! Melt-in-your-mouth good. The kind that makes you want to dance and chew very slowly just to enjoy every bite. I wasn't a huge fan of the mac and cheese, but the coleslaw was good--though honestly, forget the side characters because the BRISKET is 100/10!!!!!! Service was fast and casual, and the restaurant itself is cute and country. Again... I don't care about anything but the brisket. Go. Get. The. Brisket. And thank me later!!

Does Corkscrew Bbq deliver / ship their brisket to other areas of Houston, such as Pearland?

What drinks do they have? Beer? Wine?

I have always enjoyed their ice tea. Never noticed if they have beer but will look next time we stop by.

    What is a chopped SOS?

    Sauce on the side

Guys, I went to college in Central Texas. Is this good bbq, like small town Texas good, or just good Houston bbq?

It's really good, but I think Tejas, which is close by, and Killen's BBQ, which is quite a ways away, are both better.

When picking up a to go order that has been called in, is there a separate "to go" line?

    Yes

    Do y'all cater and deliver?

Their website says they don't have the personnel to cater and deliver, however you can order whole meats (such as briskets) and pick it up for your event.

Are the brisket and beef ribs halal?

While it is Creekstone Farms beef, it is smoked in the same smoker as the pork, therefore making it not halal.

What time do they normally sell out on Saturday? Thanks!

I almost always go on Saturdays. I think you're really pushing your luck if you get there past 1pm, although not everything sells out at the same time so you can still get something if you're flexible.

Is Corkscrew BBQ open this week?

    Yes, Tuesday through Saturday.

What time should we get in line Saturday morning anticipating 30 min wait after they open?

No later than 9. Bring a book or someone who's company you enjoy. They start handing out numbers around 8:30. Once they open you're the first to order and you'll get your food within minutes. Expect the line to be wrapped around the building if you…

There is indoor seating with restrooms but it was nice outside so I opted to check that area out. There is plenty of outdoor covered seating, with a tea dispenser and fixings off to the side. The ice is in a Texas-style, wood-paneled ice box. There is also a nice wide hand wash sink and paper towels in this same area. The moist brisket was a thick mixed slice consisting of both moist and lean, maybe the cashier didn't hear me. They serve Goodstock by Nolan Ryan, which is his premium line that's either Prime or Angus, so I'm not sure which they buy here, maybe Angus. The German style sausage is a little peppery, but with paprika or cayenne, not black pepper. It was ok. The item I liked the least. It's a fine-grained sausage and smooth and just tastes generic or store bought. The cajun potato salad was interesting and good..not great. They do give you a massive amount for a single serving. It's a tad spicy due to the cayenne. The banana pudding is very interesting and definitely homemade. It has a caramel swirl and broken chocolate pieces sprinkled on the top. This was my favorite part of the meal, but it's also very sweet. The owner let me know that they smoke the bananas and the sea salt which goes on top. The background music is good here...classic country so you definitely have that Texas vibe. Last of all, I didn't really like their iced tea here. Not sure what it is. The homemade bbq sauce is passable but goes well with their meats. Next time, I definitely need to try their homemade boudain, the ribs, and the Mac and cheese.

However, from the lackluster flavors, poor marbling of the beat, and lack of air conditioning in HOUSTON, I was left feeling quite disappointed. The baked beans, mac and cheese, collared greens, and Brussels sprouts are delicious, as expected. The brisket was absolutely dried to the point where I couldn't tell if I was wiping my mouth with a napkin or the brisket. Yes, I ordered it fatty. The ribs were terribly marbled.
