We each decided to do a tasting. I had a few that I past on to the husband but there was one that I actually enjoyed. The person was explaining the differences between each and was really trying to find something that I would like. I appreciated that extra step. It was a good experience. Definitely better whiskey than you get at bars. Hmmm, maybe that's why I don't like whiskey? Next time I need to write down the whiskey I like so that I can just order that and not the rest. :) ....... .. ......... .. ....

They have a beautiful facility and the tasting room was filled with souvenirs from shirts, jackets, flasks, glasses and all of them looked top-notch. Loved to buy a baseball cap, but my head is 61cm and I must have the velcro closure as the plastic snap hats are just too small & cheap for me. They have a counter bar area strategicly set with no chairs where it's comfortable for four 1/4 to 1/2 oz taste, but you don't get too comfortable. The hostess was pleasant, inviting and we honestly enjoyed reviewing the menu of +10 different whiskeys where we need to pick out 4 of them for the standard flight. They had a cross section of proofs between bourbons and ryes with a premixed old fashioned that was made by aging in maple syrup barrels. My wife went for ryes and i did the bourbons. I started with the 80 proof then navigated toward the highlight of the 115-proof. I was pleasantly impressed how drinkable without the burn going down was the 115-proof as it benefits from a sweeter, corn-forward base + cooler aging that results in better integration and less aggressive burn -- it "drinks easier" than the numbers would suggest. Of course, try what you can and it's great when you can share tastes between 2 people all the choices. For me, I found the cast strength aged 6 years 115 proof to be the best.

I wish I would have remembered the name of the sweet person who was so informative and engaging. I loved that we were offered a private tour of the distillery. It was fun to walk around as we sipped our gin and whiskey samples. What made the tour even better was to hear the history of the company and how well they treat their employees. The positivity definitely shines through and creates an even better customer experience. I ended up purchasing without doubt a bottle of Kur Gin. I am somewhat of a gin snob, this gin is so deliciously smooth you can drink it neat which I find to be rare for most gins. If you are looking for a tasty cocktail or want to know more about gin and whiskey stop by and visit Wildwood Spirits you won't be disappointed.

Everything we tried we loved and purchased. All liquors are bottled by hand. Their bourbon whiskey "The Dark Door" is a rare commodity. It's bottled once a year and always sells out at pre-sale. It's that good! They have a vodka "Stark Vatten" which translates to strong water. The keys to a great vodka are odorless, tasteless and colorless. Stark Vatten has all of those qualities to make a great vodka. Last but certainly not least, their gin "Kur" pronounced cure, is in a league of its own and has won many awards. It won awards in 2015,16 and 17 at San Francisco's World Spirits Competition. I recommend anyone to check out Wildwood Spirits, I'm certainly going back for more Dark Door, Stark Vatten and Kur.

There were separate menus for food and for drinks. They do not take reservations, so expect a wait if you visit in prime time. Both beverages were unique, somewhat sadly so, since I'd like to be able to find them closer to my home... Between the excellent drinks, live bluegrass, and food from De La Soil, Copperworks in Kenmore makes a fantastic destination. Parking may also be difficult to find if you show up on a busy evening.

It had a unique finish that is indescribable. I love my vodka and am a huge fan of theirs. We moved onto the moonshine. This was my first time ever trying it and it tasted like whiskey! It was basically a white whiskey. We ended up buying a bottle of each because we liked it so much. This company is very meticulous and detailed as to how they make their liquor. We're huge fans and I highly, highly recommend everyone try their liquor. We also found out that they source 95% of their items locally! Local corn, local snacks, local everything :) We were told they sell their liquor at Metropolitan Market and Bev Mo's so if you're unable to come by to buy a bottle, go there. Two thumbs up!

You must note that because this is out of the way for a lot of Seattle folk, it is easy to miss and forget about. It is within a strip mall a few blocks past the stadiums. There's not a lot of excitement going on and if you're driving you're likely to whiz right by it without ever being the wiser. It is definitely worth a visit. Travis took us on a tour of the distillery, let us inhale toxic chemicals and showed us all the available products. They make some damn good stuff! Available was their vokda, bourbon whiskey, and even moonshine. Allow them to dispel all the horrible folklore of what moonshine actually is or is not. Obviously it isn't illegal, and I still have my eyesight as evidenced by this review so.. you should go in and try some out. Spirit yourself away!
