I love this place! Took our friends to have dessert after our lunch. We were looking forward to haven't mango bingsu. Got there and mango was not available. Not sure why, but maybe too early in the season. We did have the taro bingsu and strawberry and banana waffle. We shared them among 5, maybe we could have one more, haha. First time at this location. Parking in the building easily available. Clean place. Lots of tables.

Great to see this place in business for "so many" years. Parking is still slightly odd, but once you figure it out, it's all good. Nice contrast to Hawaiian and other shaved ice offerings. This Korean "bingsu" is so much more sophisticated, starting with how much finer the ice shavings are. Asian levels of sugar/sweetness which is marginally healthier and a good mix of other ingredients, including the equivalent of ice cream to help you get over the fact that you're eating flavored (frozen) water. =) Service is outstanding and the sitting area - and bathroom - is clean and nicely laid out.

Got the strawberry bingsu. Quite a refreshing flavor with real strawberry and strawberry syrup. First bingsu place where I've seen that. I love that it comes with ice cream and that they offer different sizes! Inside was pretty packed on a Saturday night. They have a few outdoor sitting available, but it would've been nice if there was a heater to keep warm on cold nights like when I went.

Nice little dessert shop in the Bel-Red area. LUMI is located in the retail area of the Modera apartment complex off Bel-Red Road. A handful of retail parking spots are available in the underground garage, otherwise there's some street parking around. I got the mini size mango cheesecake bingsoo, and was surprised by how good it was! I will say it was a bit on the sweeter side though. Portion size was quite generous for "mini", I feel like it could definitely have been shared by 2 people. Service was friendly but minimal, only interaction is when ordering. After that you will need to get your order when it's ready, get utensils, etc, and then bus your dishes on your own. The cafe is cozy with a handful of tables and some bar like seating next to the window.

Most yummy bingsu I've had. Had plenty of options with desserts and drinks. Pricing is reasonable. A great place to stop by for desserts with good outdoor and indoor space. Service was pleasant.

My kids love this place. We always try fruity flavors and mango is our all time favorite. Place is inviting and very clean. Little pricey but it's different experience to enjoy desert. Condensed Milk is best as topping. Service was Quick and we even asked for extra condensed milk and they were more than happy to offer it.

We came here for some dessert after dinner, and I love trying new bingsu places! When we arrived it wasn't too busy and were lucky enough to get a table, but around an hour after it was packed. We got the matcha bingsu to share amongst the 4 of us, which was the perfect amount since we were stuffed from dinner. I appreciate how the ice itself was matcha flavored, as opposed to other places that just add the powder. The red bean was also delicious as usual, and the mochi chunks were also great. Overall, a solid dessert spot!

After dinner, we stumbled upon this little dessert gem--and we're so glad we did! The parking was a bit of a scavenger hunt (only two reserved spots), but there seemed to be some street parking nearby if you're up for the hunt. The place itself is simple but super welcoming, and the smell alone could pull you in from a block away. Right when you walk in, there's a display of the menu that made it really easy to order--and even harder to decide because everything looked so good. We ended up with a bingsu and a bubble waffle (the latter for my 8-year-old, who inhaled it so fast I barely got a taste). The bingsu was refreshing, delicious, and looked like a work of art--almost too pretty to eat... almost. Definitely planning to come back to try more flavors. We may have just found our new favorite spot!

We ordered 3 flavors and the strawberry cheesecake was my favorite but they were all delicious and the shaved milky ice was so smooth and creamy. Very cute place though only had 3 tables and it was packed when I went on a rainy night. We ordered 3 singles to share amongst 4 people and the sizes are pretty big and we could have probably gotten 2. 3 singles came out to almost $50 so it's def a bit pricey for what is mainly ice but I think it's worth it for how unique it is and would go again .

Cute spot. Pretty small location with a few tables. There is a parking garage which is nice! Ordered the strawberry cheese bingsoo. It was good and even the small size was nice to share! I would come back again to try the other flavors.

I recently visited LUMI Dessert Cafe and had a great experience. Even though it was super busy when we went, the staff was very friendly and helpful and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered two bingsu. I got the banana pudding one and my girlfriend got the mixed berry one and both were delicious. The portions were really good and everything was served in a cute cup which made it even better. The atmosphere inside was super cute and everything was very clean. Overall, it was a really nice place to hang out and get dessert, and I would definitely go back.

My friends and I wanted to grab a sweet treat after dinner and we decided on Lumi Dessert Cafe since they had a variety of items on the menu. There was milk teas, fruit teas, coffee, bingsu, honey toast, and bubble waffles. My boyfriend and I decided on the Strawberry Banana Bubble Waffle to share between the two of us since I was too full to want to eat my own sweet treat. It was good, but it is debatable if it is $16 good. The original bubble waffle they sell is $6.99. It was SO cold inside the cafe. It was kind of unbearable, so as soon as everyone finished their drinks and desserts we left.

ZOMG, you guys! This was my first time at Lumi's and also trying the Bingsu. I wish they had location near me, I would definitely become a regular, easily. They have parking that was pretty easy since we came late - they close at 11pm so we got there at 9:30 - their parking is also underground - we had no problems finding a spot. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, we opted to sit inside. Once we got there, there was only 1 other customer so I was able to order right away. They have a display case that shows what they have to offer so you'll know what to expect when you get your order. They have more than Bingsu - they also have Golden Toast, Bubble Waffles, Coffee, Milk Teas etc. so if you're not a Bingsu fan, you can definitely find something else that tickles your pickle. Their Bingsu come in 3 sizes - Mini, Single and Regular. I ended up ordering the Single Banana Crumble Bingsu ---- &&&& ZOMG, IT. WAS. SO. GOOD. I am a fan, 10 out of 10 would recommend! I am a sweet tooth so I pretty much finished it all. The Regular size looks like it be a good size to share. We left around 10:30, so we took the back way to re-enter the underground garage without having to walk all the way around - FYI! All in all, my first time having Bingsu & definitely not my last!

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #80…read more After a poor boba experience at the Capitol Hill location, I wasn't expecting much out of Meetea Cafe in Redmond. Still, since this is the only non-chain boba shop in Redmond, and I was in the area for an event, I decided to give it a chance. The menu at this location is a bit different, since it doesn't allow tea selection for the milk tea at the kiosk. There are two kiosks even though I doubt this place gets too busy, given that it was just after lunch at 1PM on a Sunday, and there was only one other party inside. Boba Milk Tea, 30% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea is a very pleasing almost orangish color that's actually quite a fragrant, tasting more similar to a Ceylon than an Assam that most other boba shops use. There's a caramelized milky sweetness to the drink, like they use pure condensed milk as a sweetener. It all combines together to give vaguely Hong Kong-style milk tea notes. At 30% sweet, it's pleasingly only slightly sweet, much better than the harsh sweetness at 50% from the other location. Note this drink comes with boba by default, but I wasn't paying attention and ended up adding additional boba (adds 75 cents). At least, I think there was an additional order in the cup, given that it seemed to be a larger amount of boba than is usual. The boba is surprisingly pretty good. While the pearls are smooth, not that sweet, and are a bit inconsistent in size, they have a surprisingly good bounce and the chew is quite good, albeit a tiny bit on the firm side. Overall much better than what I received on Capitol Hill. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 I was really surprised at the quality of the drink I received at this Meetea location. I would happily return for boba any time I'm in Redmond. Bathrooms - One unisex room

Look at the photo, I work at a boba place as well and the lady could not even give me a full scoop of lychee jelly... how stingy can you be.. you can barely see the amount she even gave me... On top of that, when I ordered my drink, iced green tea with creama and lychee jelly, she handed me the wrong drink, just a regular green milk tea with lychee jelly and when I asked her about to she replied in a bit of a snarky way saying that's the drink I ordered even when it literally says in my receipt what I had ordered. Perhaps this is why she was really stingy with my toppings, but I don't think I was in the wrong... Although this is only one bad experience out of multiple good experiences, I don't think I'd risk coming here again especially when boba prices have been increasing...

We tried the taro sago latte (even at 100% sweetness it was not sweet at all) and the yifang fruit tea with sago (which at 50% sugar was so incredibly sweet, tasted like my entire sugar allotment for the week)! The sago is nice though. For those who don't know sago are tiny, clear, somewhat chewy balls of starch (mouthfeel sort of like the little rice balls in tapioca pudding), and much smaller than the typical tapioca boba. I probably wouldn't get either drink again, but next time I might try the mango pomelo sago or just a regular milk tea with boba.

If you're craving some bingsoo, make the trek to Bellevue if possible. This store is shared with Xi'an Noodles with a shared restroom and wifi available. Located in the Belgate plaza, there is plenty of parking. Mixed Berry Bingsoo - my favorite bingsoo because the berries are packed with flavor, sweet, and enhance the dessert. With a mix of sweetness, tartness, and acidity, the bingsoo has balance and the contrast actually helps each flavor shine. The berry juices even add flavor to the bingsoo below (and there are berries at the bottom). The only mediocre aspect is the whipped cream on top which is just whatever. Taro Bingsoo - the menu has alternated between ube ice cream and taro ice cream but I think it's always been taro ice cream because it's not overly sweet. Red bean is also sweet but after devouring the toppings (including the ice cream), the bingsoo itself doesn't offer much. It's sweet shaved milk with condensed milk but the taro flavor isn't as potent.

I know they take care in their craft but I can't really justify the price point when I can buy an organic tub of yogurt elsewhere, get my toppings at an asian market myself, and have multiple servings from what I buy instead of just one. Again, my own opinion. The desserts here are very lightly sweetened which fits the palate of their target audiences very well. I do appreciate the subtleness of the sweet vs tang and love the idea of combining the exotic flavors they have. Very novel ideas that I will bring into my own kitchen with added granola. :)
