Pad Thai

Every time we go to Mae Ploy's we have great experience and our recent visit was no exception. We arrived for an early dinner and were seated right away. The restaurant was clean and well cared for. Our friendly server got our cocktails while we decided what we wanted for dinner. For dinner I had the Pad Thai and my husband got sushi. My dinner was a generous portion and very tasty. I had enough to take home for lunch the next day!

We did take out today from here and chose it because of the great review. It's a great Thai place. The restaurant decor is adorable, from the artwork to the pallet ceiling it's well thought out. Our order was ready when we arrived. We had pad Thai with broccoli instead of noodles. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the dish was delicious. And the price was more than fair! Great service, great food, tastefully done decor and good prices - it all adds up to a great place! As Arnold said, 'I'll be back!'

To start with the good, I really loved my pad Thai. It was seasoned perfectly. The only critique I have on this restaurant is the inside needs some TLC. I love the location of downtown close to various shops. It's a great lunch or dinner date spot.

Mae Ploy's is the best Thai food in Cincinnati. Everything is so delicious and it is consistently good. If we lived closer, we would go way more often. Service is always great, and it's so fun to see Mae Ploy herself behind the bar!

Mai Tai drink

I travel to Mason for a business, so I decided to get some Thai food and found Mae Ploy's. Did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The owner was very friendly and very nice. I highly recommended.

We decided to give this place a try tonight. We were greeted at the door and offered inside or outside seating. Outside looked great but rain coming in we opted for inside in a nice room by the front windows. Extensive Thai offerings and sushi. We ordered Mai Tai's and the were a very solid drink refreshing and quite strong. For n appetizers we tried the kanisu which were very tasty and fun presentation. We ordered the drunken woman noodles and the garden delight stir fry with pork. The food was plated pretty with a carrot flower. I ordered spice level 4 out of 5, I was surprised it seemed very mild spiced. Overall a nice place with a great meal at a reasonable price. I look forward to eating there again soon

NOT a "d i v e bar" by any stretch of the imagination…read more This is a charming tavern with old school ambiance, sturdy wooden bar, tables, and chairs (not stools). The bar room has two little "snuggery" areas in the windows up front and we sat in one today when we came for brunch. Fifteen beers on tap. Great classic rock feed. Two additional dining rooms and a big outdoor seating area that actually looks comfortable. The regular menu of soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps and mains looked really good, but it was 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, right after church, and Doc's serves up breakfast all day Sunday! Including a $7 Bloody with salt rim, lime wedge and three olives - as spicy as you want it. Loved. My husband had the breakfast bowl and was amazed at the quantity and quality of the food. The sliced fresh mushrooms were especially notable. For me, Chicken and Waffles is the very essence of Sunday Brunch, and I was quite pleased. Also a hearty serving, two big chicken cutlets and two thick waffles dusted with powdered sugar. I took half home and finished it for supper. Ask for the Sriracha Syrup on the side, and if you're not a Sriracha fan they will give you regular syrup on request. I got both! When we arrived there was just one other couple at the bar who had already ordered food, but over the next 30 minutes at least ten people in various groupings came in and some went to the dining room. There was just one gal, the bartendress, to wait on everyone and she did a great job keeping up with it all, even checking on us. I'm sorry I did not get her name, but it was Sunday March 8th and she deserves big shoutout. I recommend Doc's and plan to return. Get in here.

By this time it was almost 230 pm on a Saturday. Greg welcomed us and got us our drinks and we ordered the same cheeseburger with fries and aioli sauce for dipping. The only difference between our orders was my BFF wanted her burger to MOO and I wanted mine more med-well. They not only got the order right, we both got the cheeseburger we wanted. Cleaned out plates - we were starving! Prices were reasonable. Staff was awesome. Food was fantastic. Super happy we hit it up and would totally go back the next time I'm in town.

Lovely! We had eaten here a dozen or so years ago and I remember being sad that there was not…read morereally that much on the menu that qualified as Italian. But that was then and this is now, and the current hands-on owners give us a truly Italo-centric experience! It feels very European in here. All brick walls and an archway between the bar room and the dining room. Big wine rack in the dining room. The bar is also quite attractive and looks comfortable. I don't recall hearing any music but we were there at lunchtime on Sunday. Fire grilled artichokes grabbed me so we got this for an app. I admit I didn't read the description completely. The dish had seven little artichoke quarters drowning in Alfredo sauce. The artichoke was sweet and tender but all that sauce really overwhelmed it and this app is overpriced for the quantity. Later I realized we could have had them served with EVOO and parmesan which I would have much preferred. It was disappointing that the waitress didn't ask which preparation we wanted, and that the kitchen apparently did not ask her, either. Our two pasta dishes were delectable and the amount of protein was quite generous. We both loved our sauces, and the spicy Italian sausage (house made!) was out of this world. They sliced it nice and thin and there was so much, I was really in Heaven. The fettuccine and the capellini were done to perfect al dente. Our waitress did a great job and checked on us often. She was handling several tables and was constantly on the move but kept up well with all her guests. I was thrilled to see Limoncello cake on the dessert menu but a bit shocked at the high price. Of course it is possible you get a huge slice and I will definitely research this further next time! I plan on coming back, and soon.

I called the restaurant to see if they could offer them a dessert, or if I could pay for their meal, or something. I spoke to a young girl and she said they don't do anything for that. I asked to speak to the manager because surely that can't be right. She comes back on and says there is nothing they can offer them. They don't offer a dessert, won't let me pay for anything etc. What has happened to customer service?!? 60 years is a big deal. Absolutely the worst customer service. I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again. It is the little things that make a place shine and makes people come back again and again. What once was a great place to frequent has sadly turned into a below average establishment.

I swear it was the best burger I've ever had. It was juicy, messy and left me licking my fingers and wanting more. They were abiding to all covid regulations and had limited seating. On nice weather days, they offer outside seating, which is nice when trying to stay away from people. This establishment offers a full bar and multiple televisions for sporting events. The bar is large and has a large area for socializing. Its a great place for large gatherings (after the covid restrictions). And, most important, if you know me, bathroom cleanliness is very important to me. I would rate them with a 10---clean, hot water and welcoming. A+. I'm looking forward to returning.

The staff was super friendly with a very relaxed atmosphere. Hunter was behind the bar taking care of us. We got a couple beers, some pretzels, some wings, a burger, and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap. When the food came we were very happy with the taste quality of it. We did sweet chili on the wings. The border was one of the house specials with pork and BBQ sauce. It was all seriously super yummy. Came back on Saturday this week. This time Colton took care of us. It was still the same relaxed atmosphere we had on Saturday. This time we weren't as hungry so we went with the wings and the wrap again. The food was still great! We will be back. For sure.
