My wife and I both had the curry and it was outstanding! Veggies were fresh and crisp. The chicken was all white meat and tender. Spice level was good. (We chose "mild" but it still had a good bite and there were three levels above that.) The rice was also well prepared. We started with an app platter that was equally good. Best Thai food ever! I have been to some Thai places and this one tops them all. The owner is also a really fun and great person to talk to! I tried the soup it's something different, but really good. It was creamy and sour at the same time and slightly spicy. My all time favorite would be the Drunken Noodles. They. Are. To. DIE. For! My boyfriend got the salmon in curry sauce (I believe) and the salmon falls right off and the flavors are perfect. It's safe to say I'll be back to try other foods! The food is good/ok. The service is ok/not bad. They have clear plastics to divide tables for inside sitting. Outside sitting is also available. I didn't have a bad experience, but the lack of the extra notch is why the star shortage. Never got a refill for my ice tea. The table was wet (the plastic of the menu would stick to the table), I had to wait for my server an unusual long time. To his credit, he did apologize. However, I feel someone like the host, who didn't appear to be doing anything other than standing at her post - could have gotten my drink order to help out the busy servers During this time they prefer reservations, although walk-Ins are also acceptable. We have been wanting to go to Mae Ploy's for over a year, and finally made it up there to Lebanon, a quick hop from West Chester. What a quaint little town, very worth a visit to see. Mae Ploy herself was visiting tables when we came in, and flashed a smile. She came to check on our food and experience as we dined. I've lived in India for a year, and have eaten quite a bit of Indian and Thai food, so my expectations were astronomical. YEP! She rings the bell on outstanding Thai food, at least for us at this visit. Pad Thai, of course, has to be the first choice/standard to judge from. Spring Rolls skins were so thin, crunchy, flavorful, YUMMM! Could have eaten them till I was full! We also ordered Pad Woon Sen, and pineapple fried rice. All were judged to be the best of these dishes of Thai food we have ever eaten. Looking forward to going back and trying more of Mae's outstanding offerings. Fabulous spot. Service was pretty terrible (hence the 4) but food was great. The chicken satay was moist and delicious. The khao soi was very flavorful. Pad Thai and eggplant stir fry were awesome. The Halloween cocktail was more sweet than flavorful but the whiskey sour was well balanced. The sushi is just ok; if you're here it's for the curry, noodles, or stir fry. Husband took me here for lunch on a Friday. I was very excited as he said the food is very authentic. I ordered sea food Tom yum soup at spicy level of 4, great! The best Tom Yum soup in US so far! Had spring roll, also very good! They also give us free house salad, so when my sea food salad is on, I'm almost full. The sea food salad is totally loaded, has giant mussel, squid, shrimp, scallops! This is my families absolute favorite place to eat! We come here for all the big occasions! The food is absolutely amazing and the sushi is a work of art. There hasn't been a single thing on the menu we haven't liked. Also the owner is so friendly! She always stops by to talk to you and see how you're doing. Once we came for my sisters graduation and she brought us out a free dessert. I HIGHLY recommend this place! Great Thai food! A bit far from the city, so I was pleasantly surprised that there is a good Thai place in Lebanon. Pretty authentic as well and the portion is good. Would go back again if I'm in the area. We got the fish cakes and the papaya salad as appetizers. Fish cakes: really great flavors and spices; fish cakes were bouncy, loved the texture. They give you a pretty good portion for the price. Papaya salad: fresh papaya salad with the right seasoning. I am not a lover of the Laos style papaya salad, so I was glad to find that they do the authentic Thai style. Really fresh ingredients (and that's down to the peanuts) - no weird taste. Really enjoyed it! For entrees, we got crab fried rice, pad kee mao, num tok fish, and a curry. The num tok fish was my favorite! The flavor explosion, the fresh herbs and spices, the perfectly-balanced and moldy acidic sauce paired with perfectly fried fish "nuggets" (basically fish pieces). Really enjoyed this dish, would go back just for this. Crab fried rice, pad kee mao, and curry were all pretty standard. Could tell that their ingredients were really fresh, which made these dishes very enjoyable. I always say, having great, fresh ingredients is pretty much 50% of a dish. Really impressed by the quality of meat/ seafood they get there. Dessert we got a mango sticky rice to share. I normally do not get mango sticky rice because it's a relatively hard dessert to master - you need the best mangoes, the perfectly cooked sticky rice, and serving it at the right temperature. Really authentic mango sticky rice - loves that they used purple/ black rice (that's the kind of mango sticky rice I grew up with), and the coconut sauce was great too. Perfectly cooked rice, well-balanced coconut sauce, fresh mangoes, served nicely warmed (rice portion) - pretty much checked all the boxes, would recommend this especially during summer time when mangoes are in season. Would definitely go back again if I'm in the area since it's a bit of the trek from the city. Really enjoyed the food there though. read more

I was thrilled to see a Thai place pop up in downtown Lebanon and rushed to check it out as soon as I heard about it. The interior is really cool, and it kept a lot of the original touches from the original building. We started with a shrimp in a blanket (shrimp stuffed with ground chicken in a spring roll wrap and deep fried) and they were so freaking good! My Dad ordered the Moo Ping (skewered marinated pork with black pepper and garlic served with sticky rice) and my Mom and I split the chicken Pad Thai. Excellent all around. Finally ate here for lunch today based on all the good recommendations. Wife had egg rolls and chicken fried rice. Lunch portion was huge and she brought part of it home. I had spring rolls, a small ginger salad and stir-fry chicken ginger with brown rice. I ordered medium heat, but it was fairly mild. That was enough to satisfy me and still have enough room left for ice cream across the street. The Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups were ridiculously overpriced for some reason ($12.95 per bowl), so no sale on those. Everything tasted great. Service was friendly and attentive. I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint. I thought I went in with high expectations, but they still blew them away. The food is amazing and the service was great. Someone was there to greet us at the door and we got our table right away. Parking is meter enforced from 8am-6pm. But there are free lots I believe. It's not the cheapest place, but it is for sure one of the best places to grab a good naturally made meal. It is a small restaurant where everyone seems to be super friendly as well. The owner is amazing! She works so hard and goes around to talk to each table every now and then. She definitely adds a welcoming vibe to the restaurant and makes each customer feel great. This was one of the best Thai restaurants/Asian cuisine restaurants I have ever been to! I'm very happy I chose to come here for my lunch/dinner. The environment was nice, and for the Halloween season they played fitting music and our waitress wore a cool costume. The service was excellent. I was quickly seated and the staff was overall very kind and welcoming. I love to try bubble tea from various restaurants because they always seem to be different everywhere you go. Mae Ploy's has the best bubble tea I have ever had. It's exactly what you would expect from a delicious and refreshing bubble tea! The appetizers came pretty fast and were very good, the Wonton soup was warm and fulfilling with all the veggies, and as for the sushi, it was definitely picture-worthy. Every part of the sushi was extremely fresh and it was very authentic. For Covid-related aspects, you wear a mask and so do the employees, typical for times like these. Let's admit, if you wander through all my reviews, we don't do Thai very often... okay, never been to a Thai restaurant so this was exciting. We sat outside as it was a perfect evening for it. All shaded, a bit loud with all the traffic but not disruptive. Hunter was our server and she was fantastic. The menu had options from chicken to sushi so we ordered the pecan chicken with a heat level of zero for the lovely Mrs. not a big fan of spicy. We chatted about the all the types of food offerings as the menu is rather abundant, Hunter offered her advice on what she likes and offered to bring me a small bowl of what I would refer to 'chili crunch' which is an oil based chili paste because I love spicy. First off, Mae Ploy's Combo appetizer sampler which has spring rolls, crab rangoon, pot stickers, shrimp in a blanket and chicken egg roll and they were all delicious. The lovely Mrs's favorite was the chicken egg roll and mine was the pot sticker(why are they called this?). The cashew chicken showed up almost perfectly timed as we finished up the appetizers. Everything was delicious. Hunter was very attentive and seemed genuinely happy to stop and just talk to us so that was nice. We'll for sure go back and try something else. I really like the food at Mae Ploy. Everything that I have ever gotten from here has been delicious. The curries are very good and the Tom Yum soup is probably the best I've had. I have only had take-out and parking can be an issue but if you have someone with you to run in it's all good. read more
