I would like to firstly recognize the staff. Nadia is awesome and the hostess was sweetest. We have been coming to the Bradford since opening week years ago. We love coming for drinks or small bites view a nice view of the sunset. We use to come every monthish before the chef changed. Our old favs like tacos were gone and the sliders did not taste the same. All that to say they can use a refresh of the menu that allows the new chef to explore his specialty. Drove 40 minutes last night to give my diabetic daughter some supplies. I was wearing a long black dress, backless leather sandals ( I was out to dinner at a steakhouse in PA when my daughter called me (and not talking an Outback)) and was refused entry because the man at the podium said my shoes were flip flops. He was more concerned giving the woman with two small children (both under 4) the vodka selection (mind you this was at 11pm) to determine whether or not she would go up. I asked if I could just go up and give my daughter her supplies he said no she would need to come down and get them. So many things wrong with his response and priorities and actions. This place has been on my list for a while and I was finally able to stop in for a drink. The hostess Kayleigh in the lobby was absolutely lovely. We didn't have a reservation but she sent us right up and even suggested a bartender for us to order from. It is so beautiful at the Bradford. Everywhere you turn there's another nook to hang out in. From the wrap around bar, back room with the pool table and outdoor balcony, you can find an awesome spot to enjoy a cocktail pretty much anywhere. Beware though, the espresso martinis are premixed and even though the bartenders really try to jazz it up, nothing beats a freshly brewed espresso for a martini. I think I would have a better experience at the local pizza place in town, treated VIPs like less than regular joes. Food was worse than the Tavern next door, in fact, my food came out better and faster there. I have been to The Bradford a few times and this was my first time going for brunch. This place is lovely sexy ambience, servers are attentive and knowledgeable on the menus. The cocktails were delicious the food were very small portions I didn't get to satisfied or full but comfortable. The manager is checking up to make sure there are no issues. We came here for my daughter's birthday; she picked the place because we like rooftops. We had a great time here. The food was like tapas so we got to try some varieties. We ordered the calamari, meatballs, arugula salad, and bacon jam sliders, and ended with the citrus donuts. Everything was delicious. Our drinks were good too. The space was beautiful with a few lounge areas. We played some pool in a lounge in the back after dinner, so fun. I will definitely meet friends here to catch up. A few things to mention... When I made the reservation, I received an email with the dress code and cancellation policy. One thing they didn't mention was that you had to valet the car ($7) if you are not staying at the hotel. This rooftop bar/lounge was connected to the hotel we were staying at, so I'm glad we got to check it out one night - it was beautiful up there. Sure, it's just a view of the mall and the parking lot, but hey, a view is a view! When we arrived after dinner, we checked in with the host about seating, and she asked if we had reservations. We didn't, but I politely mentioned we were hotel guests. She, in a somewhat curt way, responded that the bar had no affiliation with the hotel. Well, good to know! My friends and I made a reservation here on a Tuesday night for dinner and drinks! When you first enter the ground floor of the hotel, you are directed to a hostess sitting outside an elevator. We overheard the person behind us being denied entry for wearing sweatpants, so definitely adhere to the dress code on their website! After taking the elevator to the top floor, we were directed to our table next to the window, which was between two couches and interestingly close to the ground. Our area seemed like more of a casual environment rather than a setting in which food would be served. However, the indoor rooftop was beautiful with a ceiling of white flowers above the bar area and a dim, classy ambiance. I got the espresso martini, which interestingly comes with a toasted marshmallow, and we all ordered sliders. I admit that the sliders looked underwhelming at first on their wooden plates, but they were actually pretty good (despite being a bit overpriced). I really enjoyed the ambiance at the Bradford. The decor and the lighting were such a vibe! They had a DJ, they played a good mix. The food menu could use some improvements. There really was not anything that sounded appetizing to me. My friend and I shared the charcuterie board which we both enjoyed. Really enjoyed the selection of meats and cheeses. Our server was nice and friendly but she would disappear for extended periods of time. I had the Mangolorian, it was well crafted and I liked the flavor. The rooftop itself is very nice and has plenty of spots for photo ops. But you're quickly reminded that you're in Bridgewater with views of 287 and the mall. Weekend brunch review... Sunday 2/11/24 I've had The Bradford on my radar since going to an event last summer. They are located on the 7th floor of a hotel. It's a tapas restaurant with nice views. For drinks, she had the Passion Fruit Bellini and I went for the Bradford Bloody Mary. Our entrees were the Breakfast sandwich & Admiral sandwich. That had chicken cutlet,arugula, roasted red peppers, buffalo mozzarella and a balsamic glaze. Seeing that the entrees were a little small, we also had a side order of Nueske's bacon. That was a very large side order. So good. :) Service by Alessandra was great. The best part was definitely the dessert. We shared those small citrus donuts that came with a chocolate sauce. The Bradford was a very nice location, very nice views overlooking Bridgewater Mall. There are not many rooftops in the area so this is a location many people go to since there aren't many options. We only ordered 4 drinks and 6 appetizers. We stopped because the prices were extremely high. It was $22 for an order of 6 wings. Even then the total for just apps and drinks came out to $190 including tip. I can only imagine what it would've been if we ordered entrees and dessert. The Bradford is a rooftop bar with VERY limited hours: - Sunday 11am to 5pm (kitchen closes at 4pm) - Monday closed - Tuesday closed - Wednesday 5pm to 11pm (kitchen closes at 10pm) - Thursday 5pm to 11pm (kitchen closes at 10pm) - Friday 5pm to 1am (kitchen closes at 11pm) - Saturday 5pm to 1 am (kitchen closes at 11pm) If you ask me... not sure how they're still in business especially with their obscene prices on food and drinks and small quantities of everything. And don't think you're going to enjoy a nice view either... cause you're just staring out into the parking lot and highway. Someone was angry in the kitchen on Friday night. Arrived, two hours after opening. Hospitality, was on point!! Smiling , checking on us and engaging with small chats. This place is beautiful! From the entrance (lobby of a hotel ) to the actual restaurant itself. The vibe is romantic, grown and sexy. I always love when a place has free and plenty parking (shared adjacent with another restaurant) I was a walk in - sitting at a bar and got seen immediately. You have to go up an elevator to actually get to the restaurant. The waiters are attentive, professional and efficient. GET THE BUBBLE TEA DRINK. You won't be disappointed. It might be one of the best drinks I've ever had. The food was ok. I wish they had more options. So don't come here if you're expecting large portion sizes or options. Think tapas. So either small glass or extra large ice, meaning not enough drink. Drinks are at least $15 each, they should be an adequate size Food - Oh boy! Mostly everything is ala carte and bite size. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders and got three small slider with barely any chicken...for $17 (ouch)...oh yeah, nothing else was included but those sliders (chicken, bread and dressing). So i had to order fries separately for $8. Steak Fries were actually pretty good and a decent size. My friend had a salad and a burger and they were a regular portion size as well. Friends were staying in the AC Marriot hotel that the Bradford is on the top (7th) floor of, and invited my husband and I to meet them for drinks. We entered the hotel lobby, where two aloof hostesses in their early 20s wearing slinky mini-dresses demanded our friends names and checked their tablet before giving us permission to go up. They pointed towards the elevator where an young attendant was turning other people away. My initial impression, which was confirmed throughout the evening, was that the Bradford staff is not friendly or welcoming towards all customers, but rather is creating an air of exclusivity where only certain people are the kind of customers they want. (The whole concept of an having an Elevator Guard here is ridiculous imo). Our friends had been there before, and said the dress code was polished, suggesting we not wear our typical jeans and sneakers. I was very glad they gave us this advice because this was definitely a dressed up crowd! About half the patrons were wearing conservative, suitable-for-the-office dress slacks and shirts (which is what everyone in our little group had on). The other half were dressed to look provocative, edgy, and sexy--I saw lots of skintight tops with plunging necklines, leather pants and miniskirts, stilettos, and snakeskin ankle booties. The sleek dark interior design of the Bradford is impressive. All the decor looks ultra high end and sophisticated, and that combined with throbbing dance music created the illusion that we were in a Manhattan club instead of a stone's throw from the Bridgewater mall here in Central New Jersey. We drank dirty martinis which tasted good but were small and not very strong. My one friend got a vodka gimlet which she said was watered down and made wrong. I didn't eat but some in our group got the fries, tuna tostadas, and Mediterranean meatballs. They told me the food was good but did not elaborate. All the severs and bartenders we ordered from were aloof like the two hostesses (is the staff trained to NOT smile?!) and that whole unfriendly vibe is why I am giving the Bradford only 3 stars. The Nashville chicken sliders had almost no chicken- it was all breading. The calamari were very chewy and not worth the price at all. I'd go back to Bradford for drinks but I would never order another food item. I was also disappointed I ordered the purple paradise drink and it wasn't purple because they were missing an ingredient. I visited the Bradford Friday night, and really enjoyed the ambiance. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was a rooftop bar in Central Jersey. There is a nice indoor area which was reserved for a party the night I went. There are 2 indoor/outdoor bars set up with an open area for seating as well. The views are limited to buildings and parking lots but I would still say the outdoor area had fun vibes and was a great way to enjoy the weather. Drinks were pricey. I ordered the Bad Hunny which had pineapple rum, cardamom, infused aperol, pineapple and lime. I don't like overly sweet drinks but the bartender recommended it and offered to make it less sweet. She was a bit cold and stand offish to be exact, but because we didn't play into that energy, she rose up to our level and finished off the evening in a better place. All I can say is....DON'T ORDER THE MIXED DRINKS!! The bartender really needs to go back to school... our drinks were watered down with too much ice and very little flavor. I actually saw him struggling while making them and it took forever to get. I fared much better just asking for a glass of chardonnay. Sad, because the menu was so inviting. The menu was very limited though think tapas and small plates so you aren't coming for food. Also, the cocktails were just okay. Slightly disappointed in the drinks given this is a rooftop bar. I was surprised how limited the cocktail menu was. The pulled pork sliders were delicious though. We also had the bacon jam sliders too and they were good as well. So me and the girls decided to get together and one of the girls discovered this spot. It just opened 3 weeks ago so everything was brand spanking new. When I arrived I noticed the rooftop was apart of the new AC by Marriott hotel. I parked right in front of the hotel. The place wouldn't sit us til we all got there and they are serious with that. When all the girls arrived we were taken up by a nice young man. The rooftop was so nice and nicely decorated. They had two sections and it was very spacious. Lexi was our server and I could tell she was very new because she didn't know a lot of the menu and drink information. She was very nice and attentive though. I didn't eat but I did get drinks. I got an LIT and a titos and tonic and both were good. The girls got differnt meals and drinks and they looked good. The girls enjoyed their meals. One of the girls had to send her drink back because it was half full for $16. They made it right though. Also they sent out food 1 at a time which I didn't agree with. They should of waited tol all the meals were done before they served it. The DJ was playing, I forgot to mention, and he was good. My check came to about $24.
