Said hi to her I got nothing. Said it again thinking she didn't hear me the whole while staring at me. Then she threw up as a hand as in I was bothering her. Asked if this was the only big size machine she had. She still said nothing and just nodded her head. Clearly she didn't want my service. So I came down the street and gave them my money. I went here ONCE, put my laundry in a machine, and timed it so that I could return in time to take it out. Why? Because I had other errands to run, so why sit for a half hour doing nothing right? I return maybe a minute or two after my time was up to find my machine empty! So I ask where is my stuff? They point to a cart. So I'm like, why did you take my clothes out when the laundry mat is practically empty? There's no one waiting for a machine, and 97% of the machines were empty, it wasn't close to closing time or anything, so why remove my things? All I got was attitude and no valid explanation, so I vowed NEVER to go back there! To me, I feel like they went thru my things to see if there was something they wanted to steal, because what other reason would you have to remove my things? My first time here!! I was greeted at the door with a smile. Excellent customer service. I will definitely return. The washer and dryers were modern and it was very clean. The dryers are hot!! I would give this place 5 stars only if they had better weekday hours. My days off during the week are currently Tuesday/ Wednesday so waiting until 10am sucks, when on the weekend they open at 8am. The place is very nice, clean. The gentleman working today was very friendly and answered my questions about the dryers. They have drink vending machine, sitting area, 2 flat screen tvs, change machines. They also offer wash, dry, & fold service. O, and they sell basic detergents, fabric softener, laundry bags, and snacks behind the counter. This is the best laundromat I've ever been to. Nobody likes to do laundry, but I don't mind when I come here. The appliances, bathroom, and facility are always clean. The staff here is exceptional. Last week when we were leaving it was pouring down rain. The gentleman that was working helped us take the clean laundry to our car so it wouldn't get wet. I was very impressed with this place. The staffs kept clean. And they are efficient with all that they do there. If you don't have time to wash and fold. The staffs will do it for you, at a cost of course.. But since my washer broke down on me. This will be where I go to get my laundry done. And I couldn't been happier. I recently just moved to CLT and this was the first laundromat that came up on Maps. I must say I was impressed! One of the employees noticed me walking up with my laundry and greeted me at the door with a smile and buggy for my clothes. It is very clean, fun music, great atmosphere and the employees work hard helping the customers and keeping everything clean. Came into this laundromat for the first time to wash a large comforter. I'm not all that familiar with laundromats, therefore I was not really sure what to do. The owner was extremely kind, patient and helpful! He answered all my questions and even helped show me which size washer and dryer to use, which cycle to select and even gave me a few extra quarters when I was short (without my asking). I'm going to keep it short and simple. It's clean, the employees are very helpful and informative , washer/dryers are reasonably priced. If you want them to wash dry and fold it is $1.25 a pound. Which I would recommend, especially if your just vacationing. The building is new. The area looks clean and safe. They do not have a ATM but the dollar general next door does. They have 3 televisions, a seating area lots of laundry baskets for you to use and tables all around to fold your laundry. Overall I had a great experience doing my laundry here average machine runs 30 minutes washing and 30 minutes drying. So when you go to the dryer and see .25 cents for 5 minutes make sure you add 6 quarters for the full 30 so your clothes will be dry. read more

Omg...do NOT go in there!! Especially if you are white! My fiancée and I went in there today with our service dog to wash his bed..qe drove all the way from Lake wylie because it has good ratings, is clean and I have had several great/helpful service experiences in there before. We were harassed, threatened, cussed at, had the police called on us, one male employee grabbed my when I leaned over the counter to look for a business card. This woman did not like us, or the dog I'm not sure, we were told to get the fuck out of there and physically threatened. We did NOTHING to deserve this!! The black woman behind the counter claimed to be the owner. She gave no reason for why she would not allow us to go about our business. The screaming, cussing and horrible attitude toward us was not about the dog, it was a clearly a racially motivated act. Three black people or more ganging up on us, humiliating us in front of everyone. I have never gotten this from any previous employees there, but previously, it was staffed by several different Hispanic or white employees that were kind and helpful. These people had NO REASON to treat us this way or discriminate against us for either race or having a service dog. read more

I recently moved to the Charlotte area and needed to find a laundromat close to my apartment. Maggie's Coin Laundry was the closet location I found and I have been very pleased. The facilities and machines are very clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have gone at different times and days and there are always machines open. The price range is comparable to other laundromats in the areas. Washers range from $2 for a small load, $4 for a medium load, and $6 for a large load. The washers take about 28 minutes. Dryers are $.25 for every 7 minutes. It typically takes 21-28 ($.75 to $1) for my clothes to dry. I would highly recommend this location! read more

Televisions located throughout. They even have comfy padded chairs. Pretty clean for a laundromat. Bathrooms located onsite. The only thing keeping it from five stars is that there is no way to get cash if you don't have some already. Also, there are not that many wall outlets for charging your phone, or whatever it is that you need one for. I suppose it is a lot cheaper than laundromats I have been to in the past. We had to use a large machine for our comforters and found this laundry matt. When we walked in we were looking at one of the larger machines, which cost more, thinking we needed it. The attendant came up and helped us right away. He showed us we could use a smaller one ad save two dollars. We left while the comforters were washing and when we can back the attendant had put our comforters in the dryer and started them for us! Such a nice and helpful man! Great place! read more

First of all I went their o-n-c-e. I've been washing comforters at Duds-N-Suds on S Blvd for years. But when my sister in law told me about Maggie's I wanted to try it out! It's closer to home. I went in on a Saturday evening with my 12 year old son. He had some homework to do and that hour or so was a perfect time for him to focus on that, which to my pleasure, he chose to do. Now, there are not proper tables at which to sit and write or type. He was writing on his lap, but there was a hard surface in the form of a wide banister right behind him. I suggested that he turn his chair sideways, so he could place the paper on the banister and write. Which he did. He was quiet and focused. He worked. I read. Then I went to place the comforter in the dryer. Upon my return I found him squatting trying to write at a low side table. I asked him to get off of the floor and asked why he was down there. He said the lady working there told him to move; and that he knew better. I was surprised because I wondering what I missed when I went to move the comforter to the dryer. He said he glanced up when I walked away and saw her looking at me walk toward the dryer. Then she approached and admonished him. So apparently she'd sat there for 30 minutes while my comforter washed, but as soon as moved she went over to speak to my son. Hmmm... Now, I want to stress to you that I'm not some blind mom who thinks her child does no wrong. But he wasn't doing anything, except studying. My husband and I teach our sons to be responsible, respectful and considerate; and so they are. When I asked the attendant what happened she was rude and unprofessional. When she saw me walking in her direction she had this look like she was gearing up for some kind of confrontation. I was polite when I spoke to her. She dismissed me rudely and directed me to the owner who explained that they don't want the furniture moved and that my son was wrong to turn his chair sideways. He said there was a sign asking us not to move furniture. Indeed there was but I didn't notice it until he pointed it out. It was not large, colorful or strategically placed. I apologized and explained that I didn't see it. He was short and rude to me. I was taken aback. I quietly told him that my son was simply studying, not running around making noise or anything. This is what gets me, since the owner is so over the top about his policy. There was a grown man when with pants all under his behind and bright red boxer briefs showing all in front of me, little girls, God and everybody. If that man understood respect he would have checked THAT and left my on task respectful boy alone. On the way out I suggested to the attendant that the next time she needed to give a child some feedback, perhaps she should approach the parent first. Her response? She closed the door in my face. These rude, unprofessional, mixed up people don't ever have to worry about me or my $25. If my son had been in there loud-talking or wearing his pants all down I guess he would have been ok. But he was a little too clean and a little too good and they had try to bring him down. It's all good. I will never go there again and honestly I want to print this review 100,000 times and post it up and down S Tryon; but Yelp will suffice. read more

I recently had my dryer give out on me so needed to go to Maggie's to wash and dry a large amount of laundry. The service was wonderful- the owner was extremely helpful and even gave me quarters for the dryer because it was my first time there.
