MICHAEL CAME TO THE RESCUE and worked on the motherboard that evening and when that didn't work he called his supplier first thing in the morning and came with his colleague to repair the fridge. Our Frigidare fridge became unusable, two weeks after the warranty expired...typical, right? So. I call a pro to get us back to normal ( ie Milk that doesn't cool ) I called Magic Master and made an appointment. The chaps arrived the same day, actually into the evening! Apparently, a rat or mouse ate through wires and chewed through a hose under our built in dishwasher. At first, I was going to purchase a new one, but happened upon Magic Master Repair through Google. The gentleman on the phone was friendly, courteous, and offered to come out that same day. Mike arrived with his work partner David, and they set out fixing my washer. Both were friendly and fun conversationalists. We laughed a lot while they worked. While the washer was pulled out, we were able to seal the hole where the rodent may have entered. When they were done, my dishwasher worked perfectly again, and for a fair and reasonable price. I had to move the refrigerator several times and the last time I moved it, I made a crack into one of the tubing. My old fridge was giving up and I called Magic Master Appliance Repair to see if it was worth repairing. They were honest and upfront about what it would cost and how long the project may take. We were having some issues with our washing machine. They ID'ed it as maybe the computer digital unit having some issues, but it wasn't consistent. I asked if they could at least do some basic maintenance (we've never had anyone come out and service our washing machine), but he kept insisting there's nothing to do. Even when I specifically asked about maybe the drain catch. He kept saying it was draining fine so it's not needed. However, there's 10 years of buildup and I think it's smarter to clean it/maintain it before it clogs. I was still charged the minimum fee $125 and they kept insisting they didn't need to do any maintenance at all beyond running the washer and viewing it from the front. 4 months later, I called CR appliance to come fix a ripped gasket on the washing machine, and the person fixed that and did a general maintenance on he machine. He cleaned the drain catch and all the grime on it. I really appreciated them doing that. I saw how disgusting it was and how he cleaned it out in the sink. Really disappointed that Magic Master didn't bother to do any basic maintenance on my machine. read more

My washer wouldn't power on and these reviews looked great so I decided to see if I can salvage the thing. I was told $125 Diagnostic fee for my broken washer and the guy over the phone said it can be used towards parts and labor once they figured out the problem. They showed up and figured out it was the main control board within 5 minutes but the part has been discontinued. Michael said there's no chance to repair and advised me against finding eBay parts. He said he will only give me 15 days to find the right part but says don't bother because I might get ripped off. Didn't give me any real guidance to fixing it. Be sure to check your make model and what parts is available with them before calling them in. $125 wasted. read more

It is my opinion that this company is crooked and I would highly advise against anyone from using them. From my experience I can't understand any of the high reviews and would expect them to be fraudulent. I have been a landlord for 13 years and have 17 units in Los Angeles county and have worked with numerous appliance repair technicians. This technician and company are by far the worse. In one of my units I have a Kenmore (made by Whirlpool) side-by-side refrigerator/freezer that is 5 years old where the ice maker stopped working. My current go-to technician told me he didn't work on Kenmore products so I Goggled "licensed Kenmore repair technicians" and was referred to this company. The day before the technician came, I texted him it was a rental unit and I lived at the property and to call or text me when he arrived so we could go into the unit together. Instead, when he arrived he went straight to the unit and started taking apart the freezer. The tenant knew I wanted to be there and called so I immediately ran over. However, by the time I arrived, the technician had the freezer door disassembled and pointed to some wires he said had somehow gotten cut and needed soldering. Soldering is a pretty straight forward thing and took him 15 minutes or less. I figured this would add possibly $50 or so to the service visit which was $75. When he was done he told me the charge was $250. Generally, people quote prices before they start work and I was floored, but he guaranteed that if this didn't resolve the issue, that he would return free of charge and put in the ice maker part that retails for around $75. When he reassembled the door, I discovered the wires were behind a plate at the base and it would have been literally impossible for them to have been cut. Since it would take several hours for the ice maker to start making ice, the technician told me to get back to him the following day with the result. The next day the tenant let me know the ice maker still was not working so I texted the technician this information and to move forward with returning and installing the new ice maker part. He later texted back that he had called to order the part, but that it was on back order so he wouldn't be able to help me? I checked with appliance supply stores and did confirm it was on backorder, but didn't understand why he couldn't still place the order. I have an account with Coast Appliance Parts and during Covid I put in several orders for things that were backed ordered, but eventually got them in 6-8 months. I bought my tenants ice trays and told them the technician would eventually replace the part. Because the tenants never brought it up again, it slipped my mind, but they eventually asked when I could fix the ice maker. I checked online and saw the part was available and several supply stores had them at their stores here in Los Angeles. I texted the technician and he told me to call the office. I called the office and they told me too much time had passed and I was out of luck as they only guaranteed their work for 90 days. I reminded him they never repaired the ice machine and took my money upfront with the promise to replace the part once it was available. I don't care how much time has elapsed as they had charged me for a service they didn't complete. They should either just charge for a service visit and return the difference or fulfill what they should have done months prior. They refused and hung up on me. My whole experience has been terrible. I find them super shady and basically feel robbed of $250. read more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY AND TECHNICIAN!!! VERY EXPENSIVE AND RUDE. MIHRAN/MIKE REPEATEDLY LIED TO ME...(even about something as simple as stating that he just spoke with "his manager". When I asked how much the part they were replacing was and how much labor/diagnosis was (because I recognize as technicians they have expertise that the common person doesn't), Mihran would not tell me and he talked down to me. This was because his labor cost was highway robbery. $349 ice maker replacement charge...and the part was listed on amazon for less than $100.00. The replacement took 10-15 minutes. Great service. Very fast to respond. I called because our washer/dryer broke down and needed repairs. Gegam came the same day that we called and was able to inspect the unit right away. He ultimately diagnosed the problem as a transmission problem. We tried looking for the part, but the manufacturer no longer makes that part due to the old model of the unit. Our LG Washer's drain pump suddenly bit the dust on a Saturday afternoon. With two kids, you can imagine our dismay (typically are running 1-2 loads every day!!!). Did a little google-fu and found Magic Master. Told him what was going on via phone, and he was very clear and direct regarding what I would likely expect to pay and what my options were. He was able to schedule a service call for us first-thing Monday morning, which was greatly appreciated. Magic master was a life saver. When our washer broke, we needed it fixed asap (2 kids). They scheduled an appt next day. They were able to immediately diagnose the problem and had the parts to fix within an hour. My front loader washer also had a moldy stench for a couple months and I was sure it was the gasket. They were most importantly, honest. When they came I asked them to replace the gasket in addition to fixing my washer. I was very insistent since the smell was getting worse. However the technician at Magic master took a look at the gasket and let me know it was in good condition and that once the issue with my washer was fixed, the smell would also go away. They were right! My washer runs great and no more moldy smell! They saved me from replacing the gasket which would have cost me +$300. I'm recommending them to my family and friends. Refrigerator started making noises so I immediately go to google and figure out if I need a part or new fridge. It looked like I needed a special part. I found these guys by searching online and called early that morning. They were able to give me an appointment the same day. They actually came a little earlier since they were in the area. Very nice guys. Seems like a mom and pop, family, business. I like supporting small business owners when I can. I am big on people not walking with shoes on in my house or making sure you really wipe your feet at the door. They respected my wishes and even wiped their feet leaving the kitchen to not track that "back of the fridge" dust on my carpet. Much appreciated. These guys really know their stuff, I had an issue with my frigidaire refrigerator that was getting iced in the freezer and the bottom was barely cool. I did the standard YouTube searches for DIY repairs and tried one thing which did help but didn't fix the problem. Called my landlord and he scheduled Magic Master Appliance Repair. Couldn't get a hold of our usual repair guy so we called Magic Master Appliance repair. It was the same drainage/ motor burnout issue we've had in the past. My husband asked for a quote before and the guy said he'd need to figure out the cause and to come back. The job was quick, but he finished without giving us a quote and charged us $330 for a $30 part. When we asked why he didn't tell us beforehand, he just kept saying that job was already done and to call his manager. Called the manager and was given the run around saying that this is the base price for this type of repair. Bummed that this was how they handled it. Anyway, the same part burned out again less than two months later and we called our regular guy back and he taught us how to do it ourselves to avoid being had if he's not around. I was very impressed by their honesty and ethics demonstrated by Magic Master Appliance Repair. Our dishwasher stopped working completely, which we found was due to an electrical board issue. Instead of charging for this repair they said it made more financial sense for us to get a new dishwasher as such an expensive repair would cost about the same. The guys did a manual reset which got the dishwasher working again with the caveat given the electrical board's issues this reset may not last for long. If the dishwasher does fail again we'll look at getting a new dishwasher. They only charged us $69 -- their initial inspection fee - and saved us from making a costly repair that was simply not worth it. I would highly recommend Magic Master to anyone. read more
