Came in with the girlfriend yesterday so she could get her nails done before a trip. It was fast, no frills, no wait, done well, and extremely inexpensive, which is quite welcome in the Charleston area. It's just a basic nail shop (nothing fancy), it ain't perfect but they still get the job done. If you have a problem with people speaking in their own tongue just go to an English-speaking establishment, otherwise don't be surprised with how nonchalant these workers are. They would be pretty nosey and tell you what color fits or not, but that's just how they are, just be direct with your choice. I had a very bad experience at magic nails, I went in for a pedicure at 11:30 and didn't get my service that I requested the staff was very unprofessional and asked me to leave and was talking very bad about the situation in their language. If you want decent service find another place to go. Leave them the hell alone. I noticed they don't have to many customers due to poor service. My people don't go there at all. I was treated to a mani/pedi here. The staff were nice for the most part. The lady who did my pedicure did a good job until the polishing; one toe kept messing up and instead of removing the polish she'd go over it smh. The young man who did my color change (notice I said color change and not manicure) seemed rushed but he also wasn't feeling well (sniffling, hocking, congestion poor thing)... After my nails dried I noticed around the cuticle area the polish didn't take well to which he implied "you did that" and shortly after, that's how my nails are. No sir, I did this to every nail?? I said , 'well you didn't do anything to my cuticles, maybe this polish is old?' Mind you ALL the polishes looked old. He removed and asked me to choose a darker color. Sorry I have no photos... The establishment itself was run down. No type of organization. I questioned the sanitary state of the tools used which is why I didn't get a gel mani and honestly wasn't going to get a pedicure... 3.20.2018 Today was the worst experience I have ever had. I was seated with technician #5 and she seemed to be in good mood until I asked for her work to be corrected. She repaired a couple of nails and put them on crooked so naturally I asked that it be removed and replaced. The avalanche started here. Next she put on an uneven layer of gel which was so noticeable and became irritated when asked that it be fixed. Next, she didn't properly buffer my nail so it was not smooth and I asked for that to be corrected to. My paint job is ok but certainly not the best and only after leaving did I see a clump of clear gel overlay to the side of nail due to uneven and heavy application. I will most definitely be searching for a new nail salon. Oh, and there was no rush especially since I was the first one in the door. read more

Stopped by here since my girl really, really needed a pedicure. We were passing by and picked some colors that I thought would compliment her. The guy did a nice job and made sure he covered the full nail, no polish on skin, started and ended with clear polish so let's see how it holds up, and he was like "Whoa! Don't mess it up." That was a good experience but...while I was sitting in the chair I kept getting a death stare from one of the ladies just sitting in the back. What is her problem?! With me? I went here a week and 3 days ago and not only did one of my nails pop off already but 6 of my nails are lifting up. I went back to try and get them fixed because obviously they were not done right and the tech that did my nails said they only guarantee your full set to last 5 days I HAVE NEVER HEARD NO BS LIKE THAT! If I was allowed to give this place 0 stars I would in a heartbeat.i will settle for one. With that being said I visited this establishment on Tuesday to get a simple gel manicure and a pedicure. The gentleman who did my pedicure was halfway decent. The older lady who did my nails on the other hand was a disaster. The nail polish was so caked on the outside of my cuticle that she started to use a sharpened tool (forgot the name) to cut away so the overhanging nail polish and cut my skin. Will post pics after. The finished product had air bubbles and started stripping a few hours after they were done. I returned the next day to express my dissatisfaction with the service offered. The gentleman who took me pretty much buffed off the top coat, added another layer of the same nail polish and called it a day. Even after explaining to and showing him the nail lifting he continued to do his thing and I left once again highly disappointed. My husband came with me on the second visit because I wanted to treat him to a mani pedi. We signed in and he sat for 15-20 minutes with no assistance. One of the workers was basically sitting on the pedi chair looking around. When my mails were done my husband and I decided to leave. Apparently our money is not good enough for them and the tip I gave both workers who attended me wasn't enough for proper service. Needless to say I will not be going back. This place was average and then my nails and my aunts nails got messed up so hence the 2 stars. The hours are convenient and so when everyone shut down at 7pm this was the only place to go. Plenty of nail technicians so our wait wasn't long. My biggest complaint is that the fans they have to dry your nails at the end don't work. I waited for probably 15minutes and it still wasn't fully dry. I also woke up the next morning to a chip in my nail. My aunt had over three coats put in so hers took even longer to dry. She left before hers did and they smudge really bad. I understand that is mostly her fault but the dryer was useless and we had already been there almost 2 hours. Worst pedicure ever! Being a new comer to SC I trusted my toes to YELP.. I'm a little weary now.. The individual who did my pedicure didn't take the time cut down my nails until asking. Then in beginning my gel pedi he didn't even take the old nail polish off fully! After this I asked him to fix the gel at the end because it was all over my toes and he got upset. Since it was my first times getting my nails done I didn't ask for much, but the customer service was the best. They didn't pay much attention if they were hurting the skin, one employee cut my skin while filing. It also wasn't very sanitary, I could've sworn I saw a cockroach on one of the pedicure seats. If I could give 0 stars I would. These employees are rude and don't care about anything unless it includes them getting paid. The only person worth going to is the girl who sits in booth nine (with glasses and braces). The guy convinced me to get the SNS dip powder because he said it would last longer, I showed him a pic of what I wanted and he said he could do exactly that, when he was almost done I told him that I wanted the accent nail to be white with glitter like the photo and he said that that wasn't his problem. 3 days later the first nail started chipping but I was out of town and couldn't make it back to get it fixed. When I got back in town I had to watch my niece and nephew for a few days so I couldn't make it to the salon until a week and a half after they were done, but since he told me that they would last for a month, I didn't see the problem. I called ahead and they said that if I came in they would fix them for me for free. When I got there a girl looked at my nails and told me take a seat so someone else could look at them. When the other girl looked at my nails she had a nasty attitude and kept talking over me when I was trying to explain to her what the other guy told me. She had no interest in what I had to say, and told me that if I had a problem with it, I could go somewhere else. I asked them to just take the nails off because I was so frustrated and didn't feel like paying an extra $50 to get the same shitty nail job done again, so they charge me five dollars to get them removed. The entire time they were removing my nails the were speaking in their language so I couldn't understand them and they were laughing, apparently integrity isn't a thing that exists in their shop. read more

The service was awful and rushed. She seemed annoyed the whole time I asked for square round and even showed her a pic of what I wanted she waved it off and did her own thing. Wish I had taken a photo but two nails were round one was square all the others were slanted it was a mess!
