I was very impressed with the service and quality I received at Magic Nails and Spa. When you first enter, you are greeted and walk into an open shop with six spa chairs on one side and nail counters on the other. They have an impressive number of colors, both gel and regular. Prices are reasonable especially because everything feels so great! I had the Magic Spa pedicure which included both hot paraffin wax and hot stones. Bonus they will do your feet and hands at the same time if you wish. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. They do charge an extra dollar if you pay with a credit or debit card. read more

We came here as a walk-in, which the sign outside the door encourages. They said they had immediate availability for 2 mani-pedis, so they seated us immediately in the chair. They started working on one of us, and then started the mani while still in the pedicure chair. The place isn't the cleanest, but given the great reviews on Yelp--we stayed focused to see the end product. Then, when the mani on one of us was nearly finished, it was mentioned that they never started on the pedi of the other person (just left them sitting in the pedicure chair), so they offered to just do the manicure. The quality of the mani/pedi was not great, but as a side note, the mani lasted longer than most places (nails usually chip within a couple days and it lasted a full two weeks afterwards--which was impressive). During the manicure, the technician grabbed a pedicure file and then cut the cuticle when buffing because it was too abrasive. Never apologized, just wiped the blood away with her finger. For 1 regular pedicure with no additions, and two basic manicures (polish no gel), it was $100 without tip. I think that is too much, given the issues and lack of quality. So, all in all it would be a place to visit as a last resort. read more

I felt like she didn't even clean my hands or my nails she just started gluing the fake nail and then the whole time that she was doing my nails she talked about how my finger was crooked and made it look like crap. My acrylics only lasted for 1 week and have all fallen off. Today, at the start of opening, I called in to make an appointment and asked if they were able to do 3D flowers accents, the woman answered, who's English was limited but was able to convey to me that they do walk in only and to come in to see if someone would be able to do my nails. Upon entering the salon, I saw that all the workers were busy. After awkwardly standing at the door a man who was giving a pedicure finally looked up to address me. He asked what I wanted, an acrylic set with French tip and accent 3D nails. He looked towards all the workers who were already assisting patrons. No one responded and he ceased to readdress me. I waited and said I can come back at another time. He said someone can help me. I said how long would the wait be, he looked towards the workers again with no response. I reiterated that I can come back later and asked how long the wait would be. No response. I asked again, he asks the other workers and a woman very rudely said 30 minutes. The salon just opened and clearly everyone was busy. The 30 minutes was an arbitrary response and my feelings of being uncomfortable quickly turned into disgust and disappointment. This interaction that should have take no more than a couple minutes. Took several and the awkward silence and lack of reassurance made me feel unwelcome. The woman's response made it clear that I wasn't wanted there. I said, I'll come back another time and left. I was able to find another salon to do my nails shortly after and will be continuing my business there. I am unsure why businesses would treat potential customers/patrons the way they did. My review is based on service only. I am unsure of sanitation or quality of work since they were unable to communicate clearly on wait time and ability to do the nail art that I wanted. read more

In April, 4 of us visited to have Manis done. Wait time was satisfactory, manicurists appeared to be professional and capable. I came to learn that their prices are comparably quite high. I'll only speak for my own experience. I had expressed a concern about compromising the sturdiness of my nails and was given a bunch of quick double talk, which apparently is the (owner's?) M.O. Since I already had my natural length, I just got French tips and they applied gel coating, which I had never experienced. As they grew out, I could not remove the gel and chopped off the white tips, waiting for the rest to grow out rather than filing the polish off, further wrecking my natural nails. 2 months later, I am struggling with nails that have been destroyed, are paper thin with vertical splitting, where I had none before. Never again! Anticipating my nails to be back to normal before year's end. **@Kayla H. I am quite sure I am addressing the correct business. "Owner" was assumed. She seemed to be in charge, nonetheless. My review is simply a warning to others to be aware that trendy nail treatments/enhancements can be detrimental to nail health. I've always been able to achieve attractively long natural nails. It's upsetting to me that my one manicure in 40 years left my nails worse than I ever imagined. read more

As a business owner who has to occasionally protect her own employees from entitled, unkind people, it really freaking hurts me to write this review because I understand where Tiffany is coming from. Backstory: I had a giant falling out with my mom as I was on my way to the salon. Before walking into the salon I sat in the parking lot for an hour, SOBBING because I felt so small. I decided to pull myself together, walk into the salon and do something nice for myself. I was in town visiting and I was not emotionally prepared for the hellfire that is Tiffany. (I mean this in a good and bad way, and she's well aware of it) I didn't wait long, but I did ask for Tiffany and I didn't get her. Fine, I get shes busy. Not the end of the world. So I went with someone else and wasn't happy with the shape. I (very kindly) asked Tiffany to fix the shape and I got a giant lecture about how she won't be able to make me happy, how I have wild expectations of her and her employees, and I should just go somewhere else if I don't like their service. I walked into her salon looking to do something small to make myself feel beautiful after feeling so beat down by my own mom, and all I could think about was 15 year old me getting lectured by my Asian mother (most anyone who grows up in an Asian household knows how terrifying this is) and I was *inches* away from having a complete mental breakdown in the middle of this salon. I walked out of the salon happy with my nails. Tiffany does great work, and she is incredible at protecting her people and I have an immeasurable amount of respect for her in that. It was simply the wrong place and the wrong time for me. When you work in service, you never know what kind of a day someone's had. It's amazing how an interaction with one person can make or break your mental well being. If you're reading this, please show someone kindness today.
