Tried this place 2 times before writing my review. On my first visit, I had their basic pedicure and no chip manicure. They did upcharge me for extra callous removal. They kept trying to get me to get additional add on as well. They had one tech do my feet and at the same time another did my hands. I will say that was convenient, but felt a little cramped. No chip lasted about a week before first chip and then a few days longer for the rest. They have plenty of signs stating they accept credit cards and list Amex, discover, visa, and Mastercard. However, when I went to pay with Amex I was told they do not accept. I did have a visa on me so was able to pay with that. They do charge a 3% service charge for cards and prefer tips in cash. I did have cash for tip. On my second visit, I just had a no chip manicure. Service was friendly. They do have books with organized colors, but other guests had them so I just looked at the bottle colors themselves. I did bring cash to save the surcharge. They have plenty of color choices for regular, no chip, and dip colors. read more

I haven't been to this location in awhile and was surprised to see they had redecorated the salon. It is absolutely beautiful with an elegant, clean atmosphere. Brian was my nail tech and not only was he so fast, he was incredibly detail oriented and matched the picture I brought in exactly for a no chip French manicure. I hadn't been here in a few years and upon walking in I was greeted with an extremely strong chemical smell. It was right before the holidays and I needed my nails done so I decided to stick it out. I had an appointment and although they sat me right away, they ran about 20 minutes behind. My pedicurist did a thorough job but was rough at some points. I'm not sure if I would return unless the smell is eradicated, but if you're in a pinch they get the job done and my nails looked great. read more

I've been here many times before, but after this most recent experience, I don't think I'll ever come back. The only positive I have to say is that the facility itself appeared clean. I had a really poor experience getting a Dazzle Dry manicure and pedicure. The tech was super pushy and basically picked out my colors, then she repeatedly tried to pressure me into a higher priced pedicure, which I kept refusing. She started painting my nails without a base coat, so I spoke up, and she told me she already did it. After telling her to please put a base coat, the tech next to her actually came to see and told her she didn't put a base coat. She reluctantly did the base coat. Then, I requested round nails for my manicure, and she filed the sides down to the point that my skin is raw, and none of them are the same shape, and she left such jagged pieces despite buffing them. Within 8 hours, the color was lifting and chipping, so I went back the following day to bring up these issues. Instead, they gave me the same tech, who tried to fix one or two nails and tried to just put another layer of top coat on the rest. I had to repeatedly ask her to please take off all the polish and start over. Well, that was my mistake--they actually look worse now than they did the first time. No one bothered to check if this "fix" was okay, and I simply walked out. It's been another 24 hours since I had them "fixed," and they are chipping and lifting, and my skin is raw around my nails. My cuticles are painted, none of them are properly shaped (some are straight across, some are a wonky oval, none are actually round), the polish is unevenly applied, and she painted right over a piece of lint or something on a few of them so some are bumpy. I felt like I had to keep arguing with this woman, and she kept trying to gaslight me. It was so odd and uncomfortable, and now I still have to find a way to get my nails to look nice for an event this week after spending $115 here. read more

I went in to get a nail fixed because the normal nail place I go to has not done a good job because my normal nail guy is not available right now, but I have been to this location before and they have always done a good job fixing my nails so when the gentleman tonight fixed my nails, I was hoping for a good result, but I ended up getting a nail that is shorter than all my other ones and the nail polish is also poorly done on one hand. I called for 2 pedicure appointments at 12:00 the week between Christmas and New Years... should be nice and slow since I'm assuming most peeps had their nails done prior to Christmas. We arrived a few minutes early, only 3 other pedicures going on. We sat down and a tech started my pedicure almost immediately... 15 minutes later no one has come to start my husbands pedicure. I asked if someone is available... they tell us just a few minutes. (Wasn't this why we made appointments?) A few minutes pass. RUDE AND ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL!! My nail tech Leo immediately started talking in complaining and then started saying offensive things about us personally in Vietnamese.... little does he know... I'm Vietnamese too Look dude- we're just here to get our nails done. OMG this is my new place for pedicures and manicures. I usually go to the Magic Nails in Oakbrook Terrace, but this one is SOOO much nicer. The massage chairs are newer, built in USB charger... bring your cords so your phone doesn't die. It doesn't smell as strongly of chemicals as the other does and the pedicure chairs light up!! Been to a few different Magic Nails as I have 3 locations nearby or on my way home from work. Decided to try this location as I thought it didn't look as busy as the one on Plainfield & 83. I'm sorry that I did, because my dip nails cracked by the next day. I went back the next day and the same lady added another layer. Exactly 1 week later I had 2 broken nails, so I went back and had to redo another dip. Got charged full price, I would've expected at least a discount after having already paid for the service a week prior plus tip the day after I had returned. The massage that he gave my feet was much needed and he put a lot of effort into assuring I was satisfied. Entire staff was very kind and it was such a clean place. I've been coming to this location for a while now and I usually do get pretty decent service. The nail techs are all very nice and do a good job. However Yen is by far the best nail tech there. She is AMAZING! She has consistently done a great job on my nails. I like to get a dip manicure with tips coffin shape and Yen always kills it. She does the coffin shape PERFECTLY! I recommend this location you can't go wrong but I HIGHLY recommend getting a manicure with Yen especially if your particular about your nail shape. Yen is the BEST! read more

My nails were uneven, when I mentioned something the girl said my nail was shaped at an angle so she had to do it that way. Then when it came for the no chip polish she put on three layers of base coat and then two layers of the light pink polish. It was so thick it looked disgusting. When I said something she said my nails are oily and that's the only way she can do it. Funny, I've been getting my nails done for 20 years and no one has ever once said that. I moved to Willowbrook in July and spent a few months testing out nail salons....once I visited this store in November, I haven't gone anywhere else! The place is clean and the staff is friendly and funny. I always leave with my nails exactly how I want them to look, and they always last 3-4 weeks. Today I decided to try something completely different - I usually go for a shorter coffin in a dip powder neutral shade, but my nails were long and I decided to not trim them this time, and told my nail tech - K, who did a fantastic job - that I wanted a pastel yellow for fun. We found a light yellow dip powder color but decided that they looked the most pastel when matte, so Sophia helped make sure that they were perfect and matte when I was done. I felt so special having two people help me ;) and during the whole time, they kept checking in to see if it was exactly what I wanted. I went in for a dip, they tried to convince me that acrylic gel was the same or better first, then tried to push me into a no chip manicure. After saying no, the woman who seemed to be in charge started on my dip, she slapped my hand every time she dipped my finger in, at first I thought it was a joke but I left with red hands & she also left them bulky. When I asked her to make it thinner she gave me a weird look proceeded to thin them out a bit more but then said it was the color. They are not smooth. Also I asked for a tip on one nail I had broken to match the length of the rest and she said it was fine & ignored it. My pedicure was great. Kathy was fantastic. She did a great, detailed job with a wonderful massage. I found the environment overstimulating. Most of the time, when I'm looking for a pedicure, I'm looking for a relaxing experience. This was not it. There are 4 giant TVs in the pedicure room, with the sound on, and they were showing NASCAR. I get that it's a hugely popular event, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for with a Sunday morning pedicure. In addition, they had music playing. Del Amitri, Xtina, Third Eye Blind, and The Goo Goo Dolls are great for a late '90s dance party, but it's not the mood I was looking for today. The space is too big, too noisy, too bright, and the sound bounces too much for my taste. I will be back to see Kathy (she's off Wednesdays), but I'll make sure I'm amped up for the experience first. read more
