I genuinely believe this is one of the better car washes in the area. I'm scared to try out any other car wash because I've had scratches on my car before. With that being said, I've been coming here for over a year now. I've not only had car washes but I've had a full exterior and interior detail by them. Unfortunately the last couple times, I've had scratches on my car. I went in yesterday giving them the benefit of the doubt and I saw really upsetting scuffs on my car. I'm upset because I don't know where I would go to get my car washed without it getting damaged. I really do enjoy the staff and service but it's been going downhill and i'd hate to give this place less than 4 stars. read more

Self-service was good. 4/5 bays were operational (I've seen a lot of reviews saying only 1 or 2 work). It's $3 for 5 minutes of use, which I thought was fine. Free vacuum as well afterward. It's cash only, but you can go inside and ask for change (none of the change machines were working). Wish they took card, but besides that, it's a great place to go wash your own car. It gets a bit dark when it's at night in the winter, but it was bright enough in the self-service bay itself. read more

This was always my favorite car wash until recently. I purchased a monthly car wash package then about a week later they were closed. No information about why or if they were even going to open up again. So I purchased a monthly car wash pass at another car wash. When Magic Shine reopened they charged me another monthly fee. I went over to speak to the manager and he told me that's the way it works. I said even when you're not open? He said that was their policy. They would not give me any money back and I don't even think the manager understood my point. To many car washes around to get ripped off. read more

Not only is Magic Shine double the price of the competition, I was recently charged for a "Super" wash when I requested Regular explicitly. The last two times I visited, one of the individuals tasked with drying the vehicles knocked loudly on my window until I rolled it down a crack. His opening line is (for every customer,) "Did they not talk to you?" He then goes on to tell you that the chip in your windshield might be made worse by the act of having your car washed and that if you don't agree to a $150 windshield repair service, you might need to have your windshield replaced entirely. I do not recommend taking your vehicle here. Want your car to come out dirtier than before it was washed? Want your vehicle to get scratched? Want to feel like you're getting ripped off? Then this is the place for you. Decided to give this place a third try and every time I end up washing the car myself afterwards. Magic Shine Car Wash does not maintain their car wash leaving cars with scratches and damaging vehicles. I paid for the interior extreme package that was supposed to include cleaning inside the car, washing the all weather mats, and vacuuming. They did none of that. I asked the employee and was told they don't have enough employees to provide full service. I asked why was I charged for full service and not told when paying. He shook his head and walked away. DO NOT GO TO THIS CAR WASH! I went this afternoon and purchased the full detail ($29.99 option) and noticed my LED screen had three scratches afterwards. See attached picture. Spoke to the owner and he didn't take responsibility for it and did not offer any action or compensation other than offering free car washes. Like I will be going here again. LOL. I now read over some other reviews and notice other folks had scratches as well and how poorly managed this car wash is. I should have read the reviews prior to going here. My husband and I took a cross country road trip in our brand new car. Got back home and went to take it to a car wash to get all the dirt and grime off of it because my husband raved about this place. Not even five minutes into the car wash I watched as they left the door open and it smacked hard into the metal beam leaving a massive scuff mark. I am convinced if we hadn't seen it or said anything that they would have completely ignored it. My husband went and told someone and they "buffed it out" (you can still see some of the mark) and instead of issuing a full refund they gave us a voucher for a free wash (as if we would ever want to take our cars back). I also got the impression that they were trying to stop me from taking photos of the damage. Upon getting into the drivers side my husband found they had twisted the seatbelt so much that it is now backwards and we can't seem to flip it back around. To top it all off, there are still bug guts and dust all over the front and side of the car and on the windows. I absolutely do not recommend taking your car here, especially if it's brand new. read more

If you want your car cleaned this is not the place, they treat it like a NASCAR pit stop. 5 guys come out and wipe your car for 30 seconds then give you the "good to go" when in fact it is not good to go. Don't use the self service area. Self-service car wash doesn't have spot free rinse. When asked, an employee there said it's broken and has never worked. He looked perturbed and was annoyed by my inquiry. I told him I paid for more than 12 minutes of washing with my credit card, but he didn't believe me when I said I did; he said the display on the machine didn't show that I paid. Hello, my car is all wet and the ground has soap everywhere. I explained that I had stopped the machine when I realized the spot free rinse wasn't working -- why would I let it run and continue to charge me while I went to go find someone for help? He came back and handed me $3 even though I paid $15 with my credit card. Car with tons of soap spots and now has to be washed again. The owner of this establishment needs to know to fix the spot free rinse or else put up signs at least that tell people it is broken - permanently. Also, work on teaching your employees how to deliver proper customer service. read more

I have had a monthly membership here for over 2 years now, and I have to say, it is the BEST membership that I have had for these two years. I wash my car at least 2 times per week, and every-time it comes out sparkling clean. They wash, and dry it perfect. They definately lose money with me. If I were to take my car without the membership it would be at least 19.00 per wash. I pay 38.00 each month and can go as many times as I want or need to within that month. A very good value. They aren't the friendliest, but they do their job and I highly recommend this car wash. read more

This time, I really gave them a challenge, a mazda Cx5 that was subjected to 3 dogs, 3 kids, dozens of cross county trips, and 120,000 miles. They. Absolutely. Killed. It. Magic Shine has been my go to for last 5yrs living in the area. In the last 6-12 mos the quality of service has gone from 4.5 to .5. I believe the business has changed hands 1-2x. My last three visits have been less than unsatisfactory. This last visit has sealed the deal that I will not return. I bought their highest level service which is now $5 more for disinfecting for C19 sake. Fine, but that doesn't mean you don't wipe down the dash, center console or dirty, easily visible surfaces. Arrived here to wash my van. I put $5 in the machine and started using the pressure washer. I than switched over to the foam brush and the foam brush was not working. I switch it back over to the high pressure soap and that wasn't working either. Went into the office and the guy did give me my money back but this site is not maintained well what so ever. read more

This place is amazing. I've only had the car a couple of weeks, so I'm slightly obsessed with it remaining clean. However, it hasn't been this clean since I drove it home. They did an exceptional job. After a recent snow, it was quite dirty, but they have it "showroom" clean both inside and out. Excellent job. They use top cleaning products and the pit crew cleaners that dry and do the fine details of cleaning the car are great and efficient. This used to be my favorite, family-owned local business to support and patronize but something has changed for the worse. They got rid of some of the package choices and combined them so if you want a really thorough cleaning job, you have to buy the more expensive package (like an extra $10 on top of the "basic" $30). Ok - I'm all in, I want my car nice and clean. After the team is done, I hop in my car and find dirt and bits of food and paper in the cup holders and center console, the dashboard looks like it was wiped with a muddy cloth, there are streaks all over the inside and outside of the windshield, the floors haven't been vacuumed...this is what I paid over $40 for? Plus, the radio is all jacked up and they don't bother putting the seat back in the position I had it in before. Getting a new car soon and I'm going to find another car wash or just do it myself. read more
