I don't usually write reviews however I felt like after reading some reviews i'm not the only person who feels this way. I called to ask for a rough estimate for a very simple repair on my vintage Australian UGG boots. The sole was completely intact and had simply separated, so I was only looking for a basic re-glue, not a resole. I understood that they might need to see the shoes in person for an exact price, but I was hoping for an estimate. Instead, the conversation became unnecessarily uncomfortable. I was repeatedly interrupted while explaining what I needed, and the tone of the conversation felt very condescending. At one point, when I explained that I wanted the boots repaired as soon as possible, he commented that it was summer and then brought up having Chanel boots in the store, which felt completely irrelevant to what I was asking and just bizarre?? Almost like he was trying to show off his customers shoes. I was eventually quoted $25 for the re-glue which was also insane but after the way I was treated on the phone, I decided not to bring my shoes in. I understand that a business may need to see an item before giving an exact quote, but there was no reason for a simple pricing inquiry to turn into such an uncomfortable interaction. After falling off an electric bike that was too high for me, a strap on my cute-not-appropriate-for-biking boot detached from my shoe! Robert, the owner, assessed my shoe situation then quoted $10 for the repair. So reasonable! I returned the following week to pick up my boot and it looked good as new! He might be a Cobbler but not a skilled leather worker. Had him repair numerous expensive Gun belts. All needed new holes punched in them due to smaller waist. All needed about 3 new holes. One belt the rivet was broken at the buckle side where the belt returned on itself to retain the buckle ( this buckle fix was a couple weeks earlier). Rivet needed to be drilled out and replaced. He didn't have necessary tools or equipment to do the job. I personally asked him about Chicago screws and had no idea what they were. So I supplied the Chicago screws from an old belt and when returned to me the belt buckle was on upside down. The charge was $20 for something I basically taught him how to do. At one time I was going to do it when I brought him the Chicago Screws but he insisted he would finish it. So the next time we do business with the new holes this same Gun Belt has a metal strip in it and he punched 3 holes through the leather only on front side not going all the way through. Meanwhile I paid for the other 3 belts that were done. I told him to finish the holes and drill out the thin gauge metal and he said he doesn't do that. So I told him to finish punching the leather on the other side and I will finish the rest by drilling the rest of the holes out. I had taken him another belt to have holes punched and he did that. When I went to pick them up he wanted to be paid for the belt he could not finish. I told him I will not pay for that belt he didn't finish and he got very mad. I don't pay for incomplete work. He earlier drilled out the rivet but couldn't drill out the metal in the belt. I drilled it out completing the holes( very simple job ). His fees are high for under professional work. Total charges were $44 for holes in 5 belts. That doesn't include the belt buckle fix of another $20. So $64 total. P.S. I brought him a bag of avocados for a good business purposes off my tree that he loved and asked for more while doing business. I believe he thinks he's better than he is. read more

I fell into some mud with my tan dress shoes. They were caked with mud I thought the mud would damage the leather but the owner of the shop took them, washed them twice, and polished them making them look better than new.
