Do not do business here. Terrible customer service, the gentleman was rude. Charged us for 13 items. Then when I picked up the items they charged me more, stating it was a mistake they counted wrong it was 15 items. So instead of clarifying they just decide to charge more. Good customer service would have charged me the original receipt that I received when I dropped off the clothing and took back to pick up, as it was their mistake. Instead the rude man called his wife and the wife proceeded to call my finance numerous times until there was an answer. When I walked back in to clarify the wife was on speaker with the husband trying to tell me it was a mistake and the charges are as is , both over speaking until I told them I can only hear 1 at a time. 1st and last time I ever go there. Not to mention they charge a service fee for credit card use, I did not use a debit card. Prices are inflated as well. Victoria village cleaners is way better worth the 10 min drive. I took in a silk blouse with a lot of pleats in it to be cleaned and pressed that I needed to wear to a special event. When I picked it up it was just as wrinkled as when I left it, and I noticed a small spot on the front. I pointed this out to the owner and he said it was a stain that wouldn't come out. When I got home I went to iron it again, because I had to wear it to this event, and took a small cloth with a little soap and water, and the stain came out! So apparently I paid $5 for them to put it in a bag and give it back to me. Not going back. read more

I have been going to this cleaners for laundry services and dry cleaning for years. I have had Dmitri also repair my cowboy boots many times. I even trust him with my Allen Edmond's. When I got charged it was $100 for the 2 comforters( 100 for 2 comforters is ridiculous) He never told me it was that much when I first went in...the owner was not helpful, told me it's not his fault, but he was the one who gave me the receipt when I first dropped them off..He knew what he was doing and there is no integrity at this business. They are located at the corner shopping center on Haven Ave and Lemon Ave; next to the Mobile Gas Station & Domino's Pizza. I arrived and brought my 2 dress shirts that needed to be dry cleaned. When I went inside, I met the owner Dmitri. He was very nice and very accommodating. I didn't have an account, so he set one up for me. I mentioned to him that I'm a first time customer and that I support small businesses. My dress shirts needed to be dry cleaned and it was No Rush. Few days later, I picked up my 2 shirts and they did an outstanding job. NO damage, NO missing buttons or stains were on my shirts. My overall experience was great and the customer service I received was excellent. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Chaffee Cleaners and I can only speak from my personal experience, that my dress shirts came out great. These people are thief's! I took my husband LAFC jersey and other items When I picked up the clothes the jersey was missing and just like that The jersey vanished! They have no recognition of the jersey nothing was done as far as replacing the jersey. Leonora tried to justify saying that her husbands English is no good and didn't know what he was saying. From a previous visit I went in and told him the jersey was missing he said he did recall seeing it and Said he was going to look for it. Never received a call back. Until I kept bugging I was able to get on the phone with Leonora which is absolutely rude and brushed the whole thing off. Accused me of lying stated that how does she know I'm not making the scenario up. My brother is a Sheriff and takes his uniforms there also said items are always missing. He has had to go back multiple times because they can't do the job right! They don't care for their customers! The level of service here has lowered dramatically. The cost is reasonable, but with the level of service received, I might have to start looking elsewhere. I needed a tear/hole in my pants patched. After dropping off my clothes, I was given a receipt with a total amount of $14.50. When I arrive to pickup, the owner charges me $18.50. When I bring the price difference to his attention, he says that the pricing is set by his tailor. I remind him about the original price and show him a receipt that listed the $14.50 price. He continued to pass responsibility to his tailor. I expressed to the owner that I'm not upset about the cost; but I'm was more surprised and shocked that he would not take any responsibility, nor provide a reasonable explanation for the difference in price. He's the owner but doesn't seem to understand what is happening with his business. Strange. The pricing here is reasonable, but at what cost? I'm almost done with this place. read more

My family has been going to this cleaners for over 10 years now. Ever since the new owner took over, the customer service is non-existent. The owner is a man of very few words. The past couple of times my mom has been there she has been over charged by more than twice what the original bill was. Today we went to go pick up our clothes and the bill was over $130 when we had a receipt for $60. When we confronted the owner about it, he said that he didn't know us and gave us issues about the refund. Fourth UPDATE: I did fend the supper head, eventually, buried in the material as they had broken it off it's track. It is not usual e! Third UPDATE: Lessons learned. Should have read the recent reviews. There has been a definitely change in service that people have been remarking upon poor work, lost or damaged items. Dimitri's response to customers are quite humorous as well as the unprofessional. Wow! Blaming customers for your own difficulties is not cool at all. Suspect the fall off in business will continue as people continue to read and they keep posting. So sad. Am waiting my turn to be blamed by Dimitri for what happened when the error is completely on the side of the business. My cousin is going to give me strips of Velcro so that I can repair where the dry cleaner broke off the zipper head to where the zipper is no longer usable. Maybe Dimitri will claim that I brought it in with a broken zipper! No. Or that it was fault somehow that the item was returned before it was finished. Yeah! My fault also about all the lies as to what really happened. No. I feel lucky to have gotten it back at all, based on all the reports of all the missing items.wonder if it is the case that they have damaged these items and don't want to admit it? All sound extremely suspicious and for so many people to be having similar stories is just too much to be coincidental! And Dimitri does indeed know English superbly well enough to have told me all the lies and of course respond to people in English in this format. What a disaster! UPDATE: I am an honest person. The item was returned to me after the wait. However, it was not damp at all. That was the first lie. It appears to have been damaged, second lie. I think they wanted time to try and repair it, third lie. They used safety pins to try and close it some, fourth lie. He did not take my money, after all. Maybe because he could see that I was just on my phone posting the first review. I asked again what was done and that I would of course pay for the work that had been done, even if it wasn't finished. He kept seeing that it wasn't done. I asked him then what had been done. He refuse to answer. I am also thinking they did not dry clean it as specifically requested and threw it into a large washer. That would explain how the internal silk threads were all messed up. This was a high quality, silk thread, high quality silk dicey that I bought from a major factory in a China during my travels. Incredibly disappointed with the lack of integrity and honesty. I do understand that, sometimes, mistakes are made. It is reprehensible and totally unethical to me that a business would not acknowledge errors and seek to correct them as beer as possible. Instead, what I got was harshly treated and intimidated and almost forced to leave my property behind yet another day for who knows what? Again, nothing was damp at all. I checked every inch. It was a lie to cover up whatever it was that the eye did not want to admit at this point. I am handy with sewing so I can replace the zipper if it is broken. I just do not like the way I was treated as a customer. ----- Brought in a comforter for dry cleaning. Came in on Monday 9/19/22 after 5PM as promised for pick up. Was told it was not dry yet. I was told to come back the next day for it. Asked if there was a discount. Was told no. Asked man to return item. He at first refused to return it to me, even after I said I would pay the full $46.50 I was being charged for I complete and late service. He kept insisting that I come back tomorrow. He finally relented when I told him that I wanted my property returned. He told me to wait 15 minutes. I do not trust this person, the business, or the service. How can you refuse to return a person's property when the customer has agreed to pay the fee demanded for a drive not completed as promised? I just wanted my item returned so that I could take it to a reputable business elsewhere where I would not be threatened or intimidated or bullied into my property being withheld from me? BTW, I was completely calm but firm. I am an older female person so I am thinking this man thought he could well bully me into doing something that I didn't want to do and that I know is wrong for so many reasons.
