Every so often a gentleman's sole or heel needs some attention. I have shoes that I bought 10-15 years ago that I absolutely love and could never replace. I bring them here for a makeover and TLC. This is my go-to, trusted, tried and true cobbler for years. After replacing a few soles this year I realized I hadn't left a review. So here you go. A well deserved 5 stars... my rick owen shoes had a few loose threads and he told me he could restitch it easily with a machine. he stiched on top of the old fraying thread instead of removing them, stitches were uneven, crooked, in multiple layers in some areas, and the sole had random needle indents and black marks. i tried to ask why the job was so poorly done and why he seemed to have struggled with this after he originally told me this was something within his skill range, he blamed the struggle on his machine and said the toe of the shoe was hard to feed through it. he then added that he didnt own the correct thread and that the ones he had were either too thin or thick, then he offered to add additional stitches on top (somehow he thought this would make it better) i declined his offer and paid, i later noticed he charged me $35 when he originally quoted me $28. also when i went to pick them up the day he told me it would be ready, he asked me to come back at a later time because he hadn't worked on them. my shoes looked better before i brought them here. i just wish he was truthful about what he was capable of and told me that he could not do a decent job. instead, it seems like he just wanted to pocket my money. i dont appreciate businesses that are deceiving like this one is. read more

Finding a good, quality cobbler is difficult today because it's a lost art. That being said, I found Carlos who is a true cobbler and craftsman. I have some boots that needed a pair of heel pads replaced, I called first and got an estimate and time frame (price was reasonable and the time was quick). I went in after work and Carlos remembered our brief conversation and immediately took my boots and started working on them. I admired him working on my boots with speed and efficiency like the skilled craftsman he is. Within 45 minutes, he replaced my heel cushions, cleaned and conditioned my boots to looking like new!! I took a pair of Bostonian Dress Shoes to be resoled. Rather than a nice dress shoe resole, Mr. Carlos put platform walking soles. The shoes are ruined. He did not even offer to fix them. Brought in two pairs of very expensive shoes to get stretched because they felt tight in the toe area. Both pairs had only been worn 1 time with no wear and tear anywhere.. But when I picked them up to try them on, both pairs had tears in the opening of the shoes on the edges. He claimed that those were already there, which is impossible since I had only worn them 1 time. I included a pic of the bottom of one of the pairs that shows that the rubber on the soles has not even been worn down at all to show how new they are, only dirty from walking on the floor. He tried to fix one of the tears on the black shoe, but it looks horrible. I refused to let him attempt to fix the other ones. DO NOT go here if you want shoes fixed! I went in for a simple problem, now I have to spend even more to fix what he did. read more

I dropped of my shoes to be repaired, they gave me a ticket and said to make sure I brought it with me to pick them up. I was stuck at work and my husband went to pick them up with the ticket. He called me from the the shop to ask me what the shoes looked like, I told him and we hung up. He called again to ask if the zipper on my boots was on the back and I said no, it's on the side. He called me one last time to tell me they can't find my shoes and that was it. No apology, no offer to pay for them and kept telling my husband that I probably pick them up.
