    Pumpkin spice latte
    Melinda K.

Ever since I tried their Brownie cookie from my last Yelp Elite event at Pizza Hub back in November, I decided to try their lattes and other cookie flavors since my friend hyped about it. I came an hour after opening time and there were a few people waiting to receive their orders. Expect to wait 20 minutes for a single coffee/matcha latte and remind the barista to give your cookie. I recommend walking around the farmers market while you wait so you don't freeze your butt off during winter. To be honest, I had difficulty tasting the flavors of their seasonal lattes. It was mostly oat milk, not much pear flavor and pumpkin spice flavor. Their cookies were the best part, which made me come back for more. I recommend getting their stamp loyalty card if you're going to visit frequently to get a reward for collecting all their stamps.

Magical Box Bakery is a food vendor at Newark Farmers Market every week. It's an unattached white caboose. Friendly people. No decor The new location isn't as close to the freeway as before. It's nearer to the front entrance of NewPark Mall. Plenty of parking as usual. Offerings: baked cookies(sweet treats), summer menu, tea, lattes, coconut coffees, signature coffees. Short line. Sips: dirty ube latte (6.50) ordered, pd. Ready in 5ish minutes. New item on menu. -not disappointed thou didn't know what to expect -tasted slightly sweet from house made ube syrup. Shot of ristretto espresso not tastable though 1/2 the water used. Obviously, the milk overpowered the espresso & ube. -noticed some drinks have double espresso shots. 4.5 stars: worthy. Quality/Quality: adequate

Magical box is a coffee and sweet treat truck at the farmer's market. I tried the London fog with their house made vanilla syrup and it was very nice on a cold and gloomy day. The earl gray tea was prominent. They offer a variety of other specialty coffee and matcha drinks with house-made syrups. Good service. Casual. Please come and create your own experience.

AMAZING COOKIES! These are better than Christina Tocci cookies and the best thing is you are supporting a local family with serious baking skills. Magical Box is available at Farmers Markets and also do delivery and pickup, you can preorder on their website. We found them at Newarks Farmers Market and it's been one of the best unplanned discoveries we've had in awhile. You can't beat fresh-baked cookies, the taste and texture at the most optimal. S'mores Sandwich Cookie, an evolved version of the Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. Soft cake-like batter melts gently in your mouth, sandwiching a cloud-like marshmellow layer. It's very balanced and not too sweet, every bite I had I kept asking myself "why is this so good". Salted Chocolate Chip, crunchy layer on bottom with a soft bite-through. Salt and chocolate a great mix of sweet and savory. We got a single Bougie-Cookie which is not pictured, its a great oatmeal cookie based on the urban-legend $250 NM cookie recipe.

I was on Yelp late at night and saw Magical Box Bakery on my feed again. My mouth started to water remembering the last time I got cookies from here. Unfortunately preorders were closed, so on a whim messaged her on Facebook to check if their farmers market stand had walk-in purchases. I woke up early on a Sunday and went to the Newark Farmers market at the Newpark Mall next to the AMC. I probably bought way too much for myself. I got a box of Snicker doodles, kerfuffles, and Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They were all so good! Moist and flavorful without being too sweet. I also got the brownies she was selling. Delicious. I sort of wish she had an assortment cookie box which had all the flavors, so I could try everything without having to get a full box of each. I only say this as I'm getting chubby eating all these cookies

I got the s'mores bar and I was so disappointed. And I loves s'mores everything! It's literally just a chunk of marshmallow. Graham cracker layer was literally just crumbs. I wish it was thicker. The marshmallow wasn't really toasted, it was just for the color I guess. Picture on IG makes it look hella good. I took a star off for the taste and another star off for the price. I really wanted to like it so I wanted to warn others. Hard pass for me. I purchased 2. Took a bit and threw both away. It was so disappointing that I drove me to write a review.

The easiest transaction ever, and the Red Stars are totally deserving! Heather was able to accommodate my last minute order of 5 dozen cookies for my son's graduation party and each cookie flavor did not disappoint! Salted Chocolate Chip - Amazing! Kerfuffle with customized M&M colors - So cute and yummy! Bougie Cookie - Delish! Snickerdoodle - Soo good! And the pièce de ré·sis·tance - Magic Swirl! I packaged each cookie in its own bag so guests wouldn't be touching the cookies but Heather packaged each dozen in brown boxes with red and white twine. Each box was labeled with the cookie flavor inside, and she also included instructions on how to keep the cookies and how to warm them up if we choose to. I was definitely pleased with the cookies we got from Magical Box and I look forward to ordering from her again!

I was referred by a family member, and I am so happy I ordered cookies from here. If you want to sample some flavors before ordering, Heather (the owner and baker) is occasionally at the Newark farmer's market on Sundays. I ordered 6 different flavors for my coworkers, and the fan favorites were the magic swirls, s'mores and cookies n cream. Everything was delicious and it was a very easy transaction. Heather replies quickly on Yelp and you can pay via venmo. Once they're done, you pick them up outside of her house. For larger orders, she prefers a week's notice. I am happy to support this home bakery and will definitely order again in the future!

Delicious! Reminds me of the good ol elementary school days!

OMG the Magical Swirl cookies! They were so soft and melt in your mouth. The packaging is so well done: simple and matching the cookies. The Magic Maker (baker) is always baking new, amazing goods so make sure to follow her on Facebook or Instagram for the latest creations!! Next on my list: Butterbeer cookies, Bougie Chip, Star Brioche loafs!

The Magic Swirl cookie. Red velvet and sugar cookie swirled together. Yum!
    Misty D.

I preordered a batch of the Magic Swirl cookies. They're so good! I love red velvet cake so this was right up my alley. Ordering is super easy and so is pickup. I'm definitely looking forward to trying all their flavors!

The interior was clean and the display was catchy. Their pricing is lower than other shops I have frequented. They also offer a Senior discount if ordered in person. The employee who was working did not have good customer service skills. She immediately directed me to the self serve kiosk. When I asked her if I can apply the discount there, she gave me a displeased look, flipped the tablet toward her, and said I'll help you here. I wished the menu included a description of each drink's ingredients. When I asked the employee, she seemed annoyed and answered so quickly that I had to request her to repeat what she said several times. Each time, she became more impatient. I opted for the lychee with tea jelly. I've had different types of jelly, yet never tried tea jelly. It had a good, strong tea flavor. Unfortunately, the drink itself was watery and I could barely taste the lychee. My son opted for the Lucky Jasmine milk tea and also said his drink tasted watered down. My friend who is not particular did not really care for her King mango pomelo either. Even though I didn't receive courteous service and our drinks were just mid, I still left a nominal tip. I worked in the service industry throughout HS and college and tips were always helpful. There's an old adage - "You get what you pay for". And in this case, we did, receiving average service and average product. Next time we are in town, we will try elsewhere, with the hope of better service and better tasting tea.

The cake itself is delicious, but what makes it interesting is the type of fruit they use -- not Medjool or the usual Middle Eastern dates, but jujube (often called Chinese dates). That choice gives the cake a gentle sweetness with a subtle smoky note that sets it apart. Feb 21: For our first visit, we ordered quite a spread: the chocolate mochi bun, honey osmanthus cake, jujube cake, a loaf of chocolate bread (because there's no such thing as too much chocolate), and the pork floss with salted egg bread. The concept behind the pastries was appealing, which explains why we bought so much on our first trip. That said, the execution felt a little uneven. The osmanthus notes in the honey osmanthus cake didn't quite come through, the chocolate bun lacked depth of flavor, and the pork floss with salted egg bread turned slightly burnt even though we followed the heating instructions. Still, we were glad to have discovered the bakery. It's definitely worth a try.

My first time I went here the first drink I ordered was a hot ginger milk tea, which has a spicy yet soothing texture. Most of the drinks I've ordered from Feng Cha Teahouse are dirty boba drinks. The consistency of these boba drinks isn't too watery. Also in terms of the flavor the dirty boba drinks isn't too sweet that you can get a sugar rush. There are several boba drink places that serve food. What makes Feng Cha Teahouse different from other places that serve food is the milk foam cakes. I could be wrong, but I don't see milk foam cakes sold at other boba places. The milk foam cake served at Feng Cha Teahouse is light and airy. The flavors of the milk foam cake provide a texture similar to cheese souffle. My favorite milk foam cake at Feng Cha Teahouse is the sea salt pearl. It's like dirty boba on a foam cake. I don't come to Feng Cha Teahouse every time after dessert however if I have a craving after dinner I'd come here for the dirty boba and milk foam cake.

It's as if you're eating a giant Biscoff cookie because its flavor is present in every bite! Delicious! Strawberry - Another classic! Tart but not overly sour strawberries. I enjoyed this for my last bite as the strawberries and cream were very fresh and light!

Once upon a time, I tried a pistachio latte in my hometown and fell in love. I moved out towards…read morethis neck of the words and was searchin' searchin' searchin', and my thirsty heart led me to here! --- F O O D & D R I N K S --- The first drink I had at Qamaria was the Pistachio Latte with oatmilk and whewwww... easily the best pistachio latte I've ever had. The pistachio flavor tastes rich and legit without being overly sweet or covering up the coffee. A lot of pistachio drinks at other spots taste like artificial syrup, but this one is smooth, balanced, and actually complements the espresso. I also love seeing that deep green color in the clear cups--it just looks so aesthetic and makes the drink feel even more authentic. Honestly, 9 out of 10 times, this is what I'm ordering. If it's your first time here, PLEASE get it. Thankfully my husband is always down to be adventurous and order something different so we can still guarantee at least one pistachio latte on the table lol. His go-to is the Qamaria Latte with oatmilk, sometimes with cold foam. It sounds simple--espresso, steamed milk, cardamom, and cinnamon--but it tastes like comfort in a cup. The cardamom and cinnamon make it feel warm, cozy, and layered without punching you in the face with sugar. Nothing tastes artificial here. Everything feels intentional and made with care. Also, whether you dine in or take it to-go, the drinks always look cute. I LOVE the dine-in presentation though. The iced drinks come in clear glass cups so you can see all the layers, and the hot drinks come in these thick ceramic mugs that make the experience feel extra cozy. And I'm such a sucker for their tray setup too--everything matches the aesthetic so well and makes coffee dates here feel extra special. And don't even get me started on the milk cakes because they are dangerously good. My fave is the Biscoff milk cake. It's super soft, creamy, rich, and has the perfect caramelized cookie flavor without being too sweet. It paired sooo well with the warm spices in the coffee. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- Each barista I ever had was kind and super chill. I never felt rushed and they took their time answering questions. It sounds pretty simple but I feel like even with how busy it can get, they pace themselves accordingly behind the counter so that they are intentional and patient with their customers, and work in a consistent pace that gets drinks done in time and hands them off with care. Very contrast to a cafe where baristas are working so fast-paced that their interactions are short and it feels like that they just want to get the drink over with and passed off to the customer. It all goes back to Qamaria's baristas being intentional with the way that they work. Keep doin' your thing y'all. Love the flow. _______________________________________________________ --- A M B I A N C E -- It's funny because the first time my husband and I pulled up was after dinner on a Friday night. He was feenin' for coffee and was like, "What's even open this late?" Yoooo, finding out Qamaria Yemeni Coffee was open until 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays instantly made us happy because now we got a late-night spot whenever the cravings hit. Most nights they're open until midnight too, which is dangerous lol. And let me tell you... this place gets CRACKIN'. We came around 10:30 PM and the line was out the door, but I'm so glad we stayed because the drinks changed our life. Even on a random weekday when I met up with a homegirl, we looked up from yappin' for hours and suddenly the line was wrapped outside again. Trust--it's worth the wait. The inside is warm, modern, and culturally rich without feeling forced or overly trendy. The arches, lighting, patterned seating, earthy tones, and artwork make the whole space feel cozy and intentional. Even when it's packed, it still feels welcoming and communal--honestly just proof this is THE spot to be no matter the time of day. People are studying, catching up with friends and fam, working, or just vibing over coffee, and it somehow all works together perfectly. It's the type of café that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile instead of grabbing your drink and leaving.

Excellent savory bites, in addition to sweets and drinks (the cheesecakes are very sweet). Would…read morelike to order a pot of coffee next time. For drinks, order half sweet or no sweet
