I worked with Nelita at Cupcake Divas for a baby shower I was throwing. From the very 1st email, she was responsive, informative, and very accommodating. The mom-to-be likes chantilly cake, so I was searching all over for someone who could do chantilly cupcakes for us. Nelita offered to customize one of their flavors in order to make the cream cheese taste similar to chantilly cream. (Another cupcake vendor I contacted simply replied, "No we don't do chantilly cupcakes, good luck." THE END.) I ended up ordering that flavor and also the Chocolate Lover's in regular and gluten-free. At the event, I tried the gluten-free because the guests said it was the BEST gluten-free cupcake/cake they've ever had. And it was true, blew my expectations away considering my previous limited experience with gluten-free desserts. I didn't even get to try the other flavors because they were ALL GONE! But everyone I talked to said the cupcakes were delicious. The prices are very reasonable, including the delivery fee if you're in the proximity. Cupcake Divas came to my rescue when another company I ordered from weeks ago called and couldn't fulfill my order less than a week away from my daughters 1st Birthday. Long story short they were able to do it and delivered them on party day. I ask for basic cupcake with frosting and no fancy decorations as I had an idea to go with the mermaid theme for the party. I added the cones and fins to mimic a mermaid tail. All in all the best cupcakes we haveThe cupcakes were absolutely yummy and most importantly my Birthday girl devoured hers saying "num num num" with every bite. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to try the cupcake divas' cupcakes. Last Saturday, I called and left a message to place an order for cupcakes for my girlfriends birthday. Now nearly a week later, I have yet to receive a call back and my girlfriend'a birthday has passed. Cheers to the Cupcake Divas! So, I was searching for a bakery or shop that could make a dozen cupcakes within 72 hours and the topper had to look like a succulent plant. I've called around all the East Bay and to no avail, I had no luck until a lovely lady from The Cupcake Divas called me back and said that they could meet my request. I was elated! So fast forward to the deadline date, I met up with one of The Cupcake Divas at a parking lot as the business didn't have a store front, and she approached me with a dozen cupcakes topped with the cutest succulent toppers. This review is wayyyy overdue but as I'm planning my son's birthday I remembered the great experience I had with the Cupcake Divas and then I saw that there have been no new reviews since the last time I ordered from them, so I just had to post. Back in May they did the cake for a baby shower I threw. I was able to order online which was very convenient for me. I wanted a custom cake and all I had to do was let them know that we were using a certain theme from party city and they were able to create the most beautiful cake for us. Not only that, it was delicious. They delivered to my house on time and for free! I really had a great experience and am already planning to order from them again! read more

One of my employees was leaving for greener pastures and I really wanted to go to Sprinkles and get cupcakes for her. (She and I have a Sprinkles history that makes us laugh so hard..) So when I announced I wanted to step out to get her cupcakes, one of my coworkers said "Can't you find some closer?" So I turned to YELP! for help :) That's when I found Cupcake Divas :) :) I wished at first I could have had a mixed dozen.. But later on realized all was well. I found too that email was easier than phone.. Within 3 hours I had 2 dozen delivered to us at work, VERY reasonable price. Free Delivery for close prximity.. But even better?? THE CUPCAKES!!! OMG! If I could give 6 stars I would! I was having a bachelorette party and I had called my local bakery (who shall remain nameless) to order some girly cookies. Long story short they were very rude and would not take my order because I didn't call in the allotted time frame to order. We were rather bummed that we wouldn't have the cookies for the party. A very unfortunate situation. I looked on yelp for cupcake places in the Bay Area. This one was near me. So I emailed them 8/9 days before I actually needed the cupcakes. I got a response pretty fast. I went back and forth with them a couple times but they stopped responded. Left me super stressed out about my sisters baby shower I'm hosting. I needed it for a Sunday. They stopped emailing on Tuesday or weds. Left me 4/5 days to figure something out. Luckily, I had a great place called Sugar High, in Newark, squeeze me in and take care of me to the fullest. All I needed to know, was yes or no. It's super unfortunate that they would do this to customers. It's stressful enough trying to find a good place. And it seems like they disappear on customers often. Good luck to those that try this place out. Hopefully it turns out better then some of our experiences. I had my first chance to sample the tasty treats from the Cupcake Diva's tonight at a Mary Kay Networking Event in Pleasanton, CA. YUMMY!! I tried three delicious flavors ... Red Velvet, Lemon & Coffee. You could tell they used fresh and quality ingredients. I loved the presentation of their cupcakes ... very creative and definitely magazine worthy. These would be perfect for any type of party, baby shower, wedding, special event ... you name it! Amy and Nelita were a lot of fun and offered great ideas to make any occasion unique and special!
