I would say everyone at V nail & tan are very friendly they're usually fast at getting you in and out but when you go to a nail salon you would like it to be clean and unfortunately they don't practice safe clean care. It's been many times I've had to tell the nail tech to use a new nail filer or new sponge for my feet which could cause an infection. I wouldn't recommend anyone goes here until they can understand the cleaning procedures for a nail salon. read more

Came in for their $40 mani/pedi special and I have no complaints. They weren't busy so I had two ladies work on me at the same time. The salon is very clean and newly updated. I was offered a beverage right after sitting down (water,soda, wine etc) and my massage chair was turned on for me. My nails turned out good and both ladies were very nice. They made sure I was comfortable and that I liked the polish colors I picked. I was a walk in today but was informed that busy season is approaching so it's best to call ahead for an appointment in the future. read more

This is my favorite place to get my mani/pedi. I have been going for about 5 years and they never disappoint!!

I was searching for a new, affordable nail salon so I gave this place a try and I'm not thrilled. I got a fullset mani and I feel like she filed my nails too much (to the point where they ache hours later) and the nails on my left hand look different than my right. furthermore, she rushed through my pedi. And instead of wrapping my legs in hot towels (as salons do) she wiped my leg quickly with it and moved on. I won't be visiting this salon again. Nice people though. read more

Worst pedicure I've ever had in my life. Cut my feet multiple times, RUDE. I'm not even tendered to little nix. I understand it happens but this lady was so rude to me the entire time. Not sure why this place has such a low rating but then again I'm a man so my criteria is certainly going to be different. My experience is always great. All I get is a basic mani pedi though so it's going to be really hard to mess that up. That said, they're super inexpensive and I feel like what I get for the price is awesome. Oftentimes if it's not too busy they'll tag team and do my mani while I'm getting my pedi. That gets me in and out ASAP and I love it. Add to that, even if I go on a weekend my wait is never long at all. Last but not least they'll offer you wine or beer while you get your pedi. They don't offer all the time but if you ask they're happy to oblige. The only con for me is that they're not open on Sundays and that's usually the day that works best with my schedule to come here. read more

Came in for a pedicure... she didn't clean under the nail or clean/trim the cuticles (it was like she made the motion without actually doing it). I ended up filing my own nails. It's one thing for me to be clear on what you want, but I should not have to do it myself; filing nails is not difficult. New to the area and was looking for another nail salon. I happen to pass this one first and it was right next door to the grocery store. It worked for convenience purposes . I was immediately serviced for a mani and pedi. I received both services at once so I was really in and out . The staff were friendly and they used masks and sanitizer. The place seem cleaned but a little outdated . They are getting ready for renovations so that will help give it a more updated look (2/15). Overall a solid option with decent prices . I have been a customer of V-Nail & Tan for over 20 years and I have to tell you that I feel like Kim and her sisters and daughter are my family now, too. I jokingly tell Kim all the time that she has saved me a ton of money in therapy. (She is a great listener.) She has also humored me many crazy toenail polish schemes mostly Panthers related. (Keep Pounding! Lol.) I am also a cancer survivor and I have pretty much been distancing since the pandemic began. I go to V-Nail and I feel very safe. They are going out of their way to make sure all precautions are in place. I mostly do manicure/pedicures, but I LOVE the occasional paraffin wax and salt scrub. After that treat, my mostly barefoot, flip flop feet are as soft and good as new! read more

I needed a pedicure, minus the polish. I don't like the polish- I just need the nail trim, the buffing and massage parts. There were 3 employees and only 2 customers when I walked in, so I thought this would work out well... I was wrong :-( I was left sitting half finished in the pedicure chair while my lady disappeared in the back for an extended period of time. Then another lady took over and did a poor job of buffing my calluses. I was shocked to be charged the full $25 after the half-hearted pedicure I'd gotten. At 2pm on a Wednesday I just really expected a better experience. I also feel the need to warn others about their floor- it's done in a visually confusing, mix matched, checkered tile floor that slopes unexpectedly so watch your step! There are plenty of other nail places around, keep looking for one that can do a better job, this one just isn't it. read more

Went in today for a pedicure. It say the staff where gloves but she didn't have a glove on while doing my pedicure but the worst experience was when she was finished I watched her just rinse off the buffer(scrub) not disinfect it's and put it back on the cart for the next customer then the tools that you use to snip, file, and clean your feet your supposed to sterilize that but no the same towel that was on the cart she just wiped them off and put them back on the cart for the next customer even the file I watched her use this items on the next gentleman that walked in. Nothing wasn't sterilized or cleaned. This is a major hazard especially during Covid and not alone you could transmit disease or fungus. Never going back. read more

I went here a few weeks ago and had no problems with my visit. Initially I did not want to try out the place but I was encouraged to go. When I went there I was greeted nicely yet the place was really empty there were only 2 customers. I had decided to get my toes done and acrylics on my nails. I wish they had different choices on how you wanted your toes done because when they did my toes they washed them which I did not want especially at the price of 26$. Indeed like the other reviews two people were filing my acrylics at the same time which I disliked because it caused the shaping to be different on both hands. Going in to practically a 3 weeks now my nails are not lifting which made me suspicious so I decided to take them off. After watching a YouTube video on how to take them off while removing the nail I had realized that this place has been using MMA ( methacrylate liquid monomers). Which is actually illegal and can damage your natural nail luckily that was my first time there. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. The products they use can damage your natural nail. read more

First it's close to where I have lived for years. The ladies that work here are great! I think all of them have been there for as long as I can remember. They remember me, even when it has been too long since my last visit. The wait is never very long--I almost always go without an appointment. They work fast and do a good job. I get a basic mani/pedi so I can't speak to the other services. They are always nice and the place is clean. Every time I am in there it seems other customers are regulars. You tell them something u don't like or to fix and they get an attitude. Worst part is my mom went there and they did such a horrible job on both her hands and feet and were very rude with her. The absolute worst nail I have been to. Went in for mani pedi for 35 dollars. I get regular pedicures at another salon which I had to go to finish my service. Pedi mani would have taken 30 minutes to finish which is crazy. Told them not to finish and I was leaving. Wasted 35 dollars. Told the manager my complaint and she started arguing with me. Told it's ok and not to worry about it and I wouldn't be back. She just kept running her mouth. Please be aware of the service there. A good mani pedi should take at least an hr. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years. I know what works on me and what doesn't. The lady that did my nails here didn't listen to what I wanted. She also was on a personal phone call while doing my nails. You don't just get one lady doing your nails here you get 3. One to take off you polish, one to do the and one to file. They file by hand, which is nice, and that is the only nice thing about this place. They clean out they pedicure chairs with dish soap, which is not how you are to clean them. The disinfection used to clean the nail brushed when you wash your hands had not been changed in a while. DON'T GO HERE!!! read more

Came to get a pedicure here today as a treat to myself. The customer service is terrible. The technician was so rough trimming my nails that she made me start bleeding. She didn't offer an apology she squirted who knows what on it and held a cotton ball on it. I don't know about anyone else but I like to get a pedicure mostly for the foot massage. There wasn't even one. She rubbed some lotion on the top of my foot and halfway up my calf. To say the least I will never come back here and I do not recommend anyone else come here unless you want your toe gouged out and a half assed pedicure with a mediocre paint job. Oh, and it was $50. They didn't offer a discount or anything even though they cut me. They just tried to hurry me out the door before I could complain. I was @ V-Nail in Steele Creek recently. I got a pedicure. My pedicure hurt. The trimming around my toes and instrument that was used to push back my cuticles caused pain in my toes. My big toe is red and swollen on the left side. While my toenails look nice, and the massage was nice, a pedicure is not supposed to hurt!!! I don't know the lady's name that did my pedicure. She seemed nice, but nevertheless, the matter should be addressed with her. Pedicures should not cause pain and redness. I have only been here twice. My first experience was good. However, due to my last experience, I'm leary of returning. Just thought I should pass this along FYI. Ouch!!! read more
