My family and I have had horrible experience with magnum property management especially with a staff member whose name is "Blue". I feel that the house we rented is cursed because in two years there have been 3 leaks, the hvac system broke down, and the garage door broke. Blue has been rude and horrendous to speak with. We lived with 90F+ heat inside the home for a month last summer. There are exposed walls in the garage and my son's room. Blue only tried to find a solution 6 months after constant complaining that I wanted it repaired. She hired a sketchy guy to come but when I asked for someone else she said I didn't get to decide who can do it and that she called around a lot of places to get this guy. Really Blue he's the only guy in southern California who can repair a tiny crack in a tub?! She's just awful and we're looking for a new place now because I'm sure they will raise the rent and continue with the poor service and even worse attitude. My previous post was our initial contact with Magnum, and since then, we have had our Menifee property rented for a year and are currently in the process of having a new tenant move in. During the previous tenant's move-out process, Magnum's team was always in constant email communication, and someone was always available by phone if I needed to speak with someone about the property. This truly put my mind at ease, since I know our property is being taken care of and looked after. Specifically, I was always in constant communication with Blue McGowan, who is the woman! If I ever need any vendor or work done on the property, she is an email away and will genuinely help take care of the property. During the vacant months, Blue helped ensure that any issues with the property were handled well and resolved in a timely manner. Magnum also notified us weekly during the vacant months of any viewings and/or any updates if any of their team members saw anything amiss during their walkthrough. The weekly updates came from Monica Macias. She would also often advise us on marketing strategies to get the property rented sooner. If you decide to use Josh and his team to list your rental I would recommend getting the date they will list the property by and have them send you the property description in advance to not slow down the listing and leasing process. Also be aware that they charge $35 a month to the tenant for a package that includes insurance. Some tenants might not want to pay the extra money. This will be in a description when they list your property. Last they do not use Zillow applications. Most other property management companies do because Zillow applications are $35 a person and tenants can use the same application for any house they apply to for up to 30 days so it's very cost-effective versus paying $50 to Magnum and only being able to use it on that one house. read more

Company that they hire to make repairs after tenants have moved out are terrible. The painter which they hired left paint on both the tile and carpeted area's of the residence. I have spent over a week trying to have invoices which were paid sent to me for my own records for tax purposes. Front door and garage side door keys were provided to company. Company has not returned front door key. The company boosts that they are highly rated. In my opinion, this rating is overblown. The sad thing is that this company was hired to manage all aspects of getting property prepared for rental. It was the company's job to monitor the final work of those vendors that they work with. There appears to be a problem with this company's review of completed work to ensure it was satisfactory. Not only did they not inspect, but turned around and had potential tenants view property in this condition. read more

Magnum Property Management has unfortunately demonstrated what I believe to be ongoing bad-faith behavior regarding my security deposit refund. While they did eventually reach out to me in response to my formal dispute, they failed to provide any receipts or invoices to justify the majority of their charges--despite repeated requests. Their decision to uphold several questionable deductions raises concerns about their commitment to transparency and compliance with California tenant law. Most egregiously, they charged me $65 to remove and dispose of a blackout curtain that I had installed after move-in to help with insulation and energy costs. However, nearly a full 28 days after I vacated the property, the curtain was still visibly in place. Only after I submitted dated photographic evidence to Magnum did they appear to finally remove it--well beyond the 21-day legal window for security deposit deductions per California Civil Code §1950.5. The fact that they went ahead and charged me for a task they clearly hadn't completed by the legal deadline--then offered no explanation or refund even after being presented with evidence--speaks volumes. A landlord cannot make post-facto deductions after the 21-day mark and expect them to stand, especially when the work cited was not completed in time. This is not just a clerical oversight. It's a systemic failure to operate within the bounds of tenant law and good faith practice. Tenants deserve better. If you're considering renting from Magnum Property Management, please document everything and familiarize yourself with your legal rights in California. I strongly encourage future tenants to take time-stamped photos, save all correspondence, and insist on written confirmation of anything promised or submitted. Know your rights--Magnum may try to test them. Original review dated 07-12-2025: As of this writing, my experience with Magnum Property Management has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. I am leaving this review with the hope that others can make an informed decision and that Magnum chooses to resolve these matters ethically and professionally. When my household vacated our rental in June 2025, we were charged over $3,300 in deposit deductions--many of which were questionable at best and unsupported by proper documentation. We were charged: * By the wall for various patch-and-paint jobs (over $1,800 in total), rather than as a single, reasonable whole-house painting estimate. * For professional cleaning, despite having already paid for a professional service and providing receipts. * For replacing blinds that were already missing slats when we moved in--which I documented with photos taken within two days of move-in. * For removing a curtain from a vaulted window--yet I recently drove by the property and took a photo clearly showing the curtain still hanging in place, weeks after they claimed the service was done. The property was not in fully clean condition when we took possession in 2023 (cigarette butts in window tracks, trash in light fixtures, dings and missing hardware), and now I am being charged for those very same items upon move-out. I have submitted photographic evidence of these issues taken from within two days of our move-in in August 2023. I have followed all necessary steps to dispute the improper charges under California Civil Code §1950.5, including a formal letter requesting itemized receipts and a refund by July 24, 2025. I have also notified Magnum that, if the matter is not resolved by that date, I will escalate to Small Claims Court, as well as file complaints with: * The California Department of Consumer Affairs * The California Attorney General * The Better Business Bureau (BBB) * The Department of Real Estate * The Hemet and Menifee Chambers of Commerce * Social media and online review platforms I want to be clear: this review reflects the situation as it currently stands. Should Magnum respond appropriately, issue a reasonable refund, and acknowledge the disputed charges, I will update this review accordingly. We moved out of state and needed to find a management company to manage our condo in Murrieta because our current tenants were moving out. We just recently signed on with Magnum Property Management to help us with managing our condo in Murrieta. They were able to find a tenant for our place within a month and a half of us signing on with them. Fernando and Taylor have been really great to work with. They are very responsive and have addressed any inquiries we have had in a timely manner. There is a owner portal that allows for owners to easily go in and access statements and any billings for work that has been done on the property and proceeds from rent are directly deposited into our account.
