Various rolls and eel pieces. So delicious!!!

Just up from Lake Worth visiting Vero Disney, in the mood for sushi. Great YouTube video about this restaurant. We were not disappointed! Fresh sushi platter and Thai iced tea. Wish I could say we'd be back soon but we live almost 2 hours south. Excellent & friendly waitress, very knowledgeable about the entire menu. Five stars!!!

Simply my favorite restaurant. The noodles were amazing, and the curry was good -- we just wished it had been a bit creamier. Even so, we'll definitely be back. The service was 10/10

Went to the Mai Thai Bistro after a recommendation and after reading lots of good Yelp reviews. It lived up to the good press. It's a nice looking place. Very clean. Our waitress was very friendly and professional. My wife said the bathroom was A+! The food was very good. My wife had the Cashew Nut lunch special with Chicken. She said it was very good. I had the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp - medium spicy - very very good. The lunch specials also came with a salad. I think it was the best ginger dressing I've ever had. Delish. The restaurant was very busy. It looked like a lot of regular customers which is a great sign. We saw some beautiful sushi platters going by. One was arranged to look like a swimming fish. Exquisite! I'll definitely return and maybe I'll be brave enough to order the sushi.

We had a delicious dinner here tonight. The Dragon roll was very good, and the Basil Beef was also very good. Very good service and the Restuarant is clean and nice. We sat outside and they had a nice fan and breeze. Definitely will return when I'm this area.

$1 Oysters on the half shell on Monday nights
    Denise W.

We finally made it to the Mai Thai Bistro to give it a try after hearing positive feedback from neighbors and friends. We were excited about the Monday night special of $1 oysters on the half shell. We shared a dozen as an appetizer. The oysters were fresh and a nice size. They could have been just a tad colder. We also had the Tuna Poke Bowl entree & the Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. Both were very good and generous portions. Food came out quickly from time of placing our order. This is a small venue with a small parking lot, limited seating, and a small bar. They do offer outdoor seating, but in the hot summer months, it's just too humid for us to sit outside to eat. I recommend getting there early for dinner to avoid a wait, and there is additional parking around the back side of the building. The dining room is very clean and tidy even though a bit crowded with tight seating. It is also a bit warm & stuffy; likely from the frequent opening of doors to the outside. We were seated at a small table by the kitchen. It was a busy spot with servers coming in and out of the kitchen & in and out of the door leading to the outdoor seating area. However, our servers were on top of things getting us our drinks, orders, and food quickly. The servers could have been a little more interactive with us to make it a more personalized experience. We were seated where we could watch the sushi & rolls being made. Everything looked just wonderful! The best thing about this restaurant is the food, which is a good thing since that's what we are all there for! I would rate the venue as follows: Venue: 4 Ambiance: 3 Service: 4 Food: 5

The phone number listed seems to be disconnected. Does anyone know the best way to contact the restaurant for reservations?

Are you sure you called during opening hours? The number is (772) 205-2530, I think it's listed correctly. We haven't had problems making reservations in the past.

*INITIAL REVIEW*…read more Today, my family and I celebrated Mother's Day given the fact one of my sisters and I would be too busy to celebrate it on the actual day. Ergo, we made a trip down to Vero Beach and had fun at both McKee Botanical Gardens and the Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA), both which got stellar reviews by me in the past. In between both locales, we were hungry and needed to eat someplace local. I had some suggestions, but my mom was in the mood for seafood. As a suggestion from reviews, The Crab Stop of Vero Beach was ultimately decided upon. I have to say, I am happy this restaurant was suggested because it is very good. Even though an address is provided, The Crab Spot of Vero Beach (which I will shorthand simply to Crab Spot for the remainder of this review) is located on the southside of the entryway into Royal Palm Place, one of the many extensions leading out into the water near US-1, but this one is known for the Royal Palm Park at the end. Initial display, decor, and ambiance has the stereotypical local dive bar look with elements showcasing they specialize in seafood, and the little bits of rustic flaws adds a bit of character for what they are. I would not expect such a look for a high-end restaurant, but this works for a local place on the river. The chairs squeeked, the table wobbled a bit in which the waitress fixed with some coasters, and the plates were chipped. No problem at all. There was even outdoor seating in the back bar-style which gives you a nice view of the canal that leads to the river. It was high sun, so we opted for the air conditioning. Now we move on to the food. I have to say that the majority of our food was really good, and when you adjusted to what you are eating, it was top-notch. Key word, however, is the "majority." The good: the hush puppies basket as you get 10 hush puppies that are lightly-seasoned with 1000 island sauce. If you eat one, it is probable you might think it is light on seasoning. However, they are small and finishing all 10 won't be a problem. The flavor builds with each hush puppy, which was smartly done compared to what most seafood places do: give you like two to five hush puppies of large size and high flavoring. The wings, however, used a hot sauce that was mostly vinegar. This ruined the wings for me, and if my stepdad ordered 20, he'd be eating the majority of them. Everything else was top-notch and delicious. Altogether, my family ordered the Fish and Chips, Mahi Sandwich, Fried Catfish Sandwich, Sea Scallop Snack Pack, and the Crab Cake Dinner. Details for each dish in the pictures. On a sidenote, the restroom was okay as in clean and stocked, but not the best-looking restroom I seen. Maybe the "character" could have not be extended to the restroom. Ultimately, I am giving Crab Stop four out of five stars. I do enjoy a good "mom n' pop" place as I prefer to support local and small, but since this is the only time I went, I can't justify a five-star rating until they prove to be consistent. I will be back as there is another park just south of this business that has geocaches that need to be found AND I may also try to hide a traditional letterbox here. But take note for a local seafood stop, this place is good to go.

I don't super recall having one of their beers at the Stuart beer festival, so I was excited about 'retrying' it. First, the building is awesome. Read the history on it, but also hard to ignore the giant generator that the beer comes out of it....super cool visual. I like the vibe of the place overall, and the patio seemed really nice but since it was our first visit I wanted to take the inside 'all in', and glad we did. Ok..the beers.... Flight: 6 5 oz pours for $15. Reasonable enough.. We started here just to see what pint we each wanted: *Freedom Tourch Stout: I loved it. *Hazy IPA *Double Vision IPA: Really enjoyed it; just amped up the hazy a bit. *Hef: Decent (not a super fan of hef, but wanted to sample) *Lager: Decent, it's a lager: * Icon IPA I ended up with an Icon IPA as my pint, enjoyed! Ok..the food * We split 10 wings for $16. Naked with nashville hot and blue cheese on teh side. Really enjoyed, meaty. * We also split a burger..the fun guy (funghi). We upgraded to sweet potato fries. I thought it was delicious, and the swp instead of marshmallow fluff had a maybe sweet cream cheese dip (i don't care it was delicious!) :) Now they were out of a few beers that was my first pick (including the Saison) but I guess it was others picks too..hence why they were out! Definitely want to go back!
