Our waitress, Destiny, was very nice and came by often to check if we needed anything. She told us that the hot mustard is home made in-house (everything is made in-house she said ) It was nice that the portions matched the price - three veggie filled Egg Foo Young portions for me. I enjoyed the addition of big tender chunks of pork in it. My husband had the Dinner Wok Roasted Chicken. Big chunks of chicken, thinly breaded with a sweet flavorful sauce. Crunchy on the outside and still moist on the inside. Neither one of use could finish our meal. We sipped on hot Green Tea but noticed they have a Buy 2, Get 1 free Bubble Tea sign, so we will be back to try the Bubble Tea. Also, they have duck on the menu so we are definitely coming back to try more dishes! read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. While dining in the restaurant, I overheard the owner scolding a new employee that was on her first lunch service. I am appalled at the way she spoke to this woman who was clearly working hard and trying her best. I could not help but notice how rude and unprofessional she spoke to her own staff, while being so kind and accommodating to her customers. The food was ok. My appetite was ruined after witnessing this behavior. Employees deserve a safe and respectful place to work. Take your business elsewhere. Second time we tried Red Wok; about a year apart. Absolutely the worse food ever. Pork was 95% fat, Chicken was hard and dry, and Wontons in the soup were overcooked and mushy. No point mentioning taste; there was none. I never bother giving negative reviews, but this is a matter of 'buyer beware'. read more

We Really love Red Wok !! We told dozens of people we can't find good Chinese food in Vero Beach. We only had one Chinese restaurant we loved in all of Miami. So yes we are very picky in a good way to review Red Wok. The Ambiance we would say funky & Fun. The staff and owner were extremely welcoming. Plenty of parking. My wife normally won't try new Chinese restaurants due to past disappointments. The menu was very unique and the prices? I found them excellent value. I don't understand why anyone would complain about prices ?? You can look up the menu online. So get over it on any restaurant ! Fees for credit card processing I get it but it's the times now. Not worth a mention "Grow up Vero " Now the food we ordered was truly amazing ! Bravo. I had an old family favorite that my dad used to order when we were kids. Shrimp Egg Foo Young. Best one I ever ordered in my life. No one ever came close to mastering that dish. My wife ordered a traditional beef dish and absolutely loved it We are very pleased and can't wait for our children to join us soon. As far as calling out the owner's children. That's not necessary. I always say, presentation and quality of the first bite decides if I will go back -- I'll be back!! The food was very fresh, hot and the plates overflow. The welcome was polite and positive, and service fast and the waitress keeps up with the tables and is very nice. The inside sits plenty and space is adequate for staff and diners, it's a little old school and may have been a family dining place in the past, love it. We always enjoyed the RedWok and had visited many times. We read that it was going through renovations and would be open in July. Well, we arrived at 5:10. These two kids were working the tables. Cute kids maybe 11 or 12. We placed our order with one of the kids. The people in the next booth left and a new group came in. They received their appetizers, we didn't. We called the kid over, he stood there cracking his knuckles and said he'd check. Never came back. Now they are getting their main course.. it's now 40 minutes and not even an appetizer. we called the adult waitress and asked her where our food was. She went to check and came back and said they were too busy with takeout. We got up and left and went to TajMahal. In fifteen minutes we had our appetizers at this restaurant . Renovation: 4 tvs one super big and 6 little lanterns hangin from ceiling. New menu that itemized each food item ....credit card charge next to cash charge. The food was sub-par at best. The grease was old and tasted like fish. Bland dishes, mushy rice, watered down soups, soggy overcooked veggies, rubbery shrimp and stringy chicken. Very disappointed with my most recent visit to Red Wok. I ordered 2 luncheon specials to go (specified spicy) to share with a friend and both were disappointing. The vegetable lo mein lacked flavor and the noodles were mushy. The hunan shrimp was just ok - again, lacked any defining flavor (too many green beans in both dishes). The egg roll was terrible. We did not finish it. The egg drop soup was bland. The hot & sour soup was too thick. We requested dipping sauce for the egg roll & crab Rangoon and got 3 packets of ???? Overpriced for what you get. The dishes I have had were good however they only come with a cup of white rice, no vegetables, and terrible customer service skills. Children working register and running credit cards! Not even 16 years old. Ate at restaurant twice hoping customer service would be better but not the case. Last night I placed my first online order, picked it up from Sebastian at 6:45, got home and the order was not correct and not edible as it was tofu and not chicken. I really wanted to like this place but other than friendly staff that were seemingly blissfully ignorant to the basics I couldn't wait to get out. It was about 85 degrees outside and they had the thermostat set to 80 degrees inside. It was so stifling that even if everything else was perfect we wouldn't have noticed. If Yelp allowed 0 or even - i would use it for this place. This is the worst restaurant I've ever experienced at a restaurant. First, there's two items that are truly Vietnamese plates on the menu and yet they call it Vietnamese Chinese. That's the starter. And yes I'm sure the owner is Vietnamese, that doesn't mean she knows how to cook or run an ethical business. Then after eating and going to pay, they had a sticker on the counter that says 10$ minimum for credit cards. But we only had cards. We even asked if we could pay 20$ for our 6$ balance to leave the server a 14$ tip. (We were using a gift card). We tried to reason because the banks are nowhere near and we felt this was a bit far to go. The lady ripped my bank card out of my hand and high tailed it to the machine to pay the full bill because she didn't want to take the gift card we had. I had to follow her and pull it back from her. Finally after a ridiculous argument my husband left me at the restaurant to drive away and find an ATM. I waited right outside the front door. So that she wouldn't think we were robbing her dirty restaurant. And she ran out and got behind our car to take pictures of our car. It was really the icing on the cake of insult. What I think the real issue was is that this nasty woman simply did not want to honor her gift card. What an unethical establishment. And to think, her food was so bad I didn't eat mine. The waitress offered to take it off the bill or replace it with something different - but I I would not allow them to take the bad food off our bill because I didn't think that was fair to the establishment. That's what I get for being fair. Gross food, dirty nasty owner, and kindest waitress around. Hold on to your waitress because it's the only thing you have going for you Red Wok. read more

First time and last, walk in for to go order told to go to kiosk (new system) they helped me get started everything looks good tap credit card and get my receipt that's when I look at the receipt and see 20 percent tip on takeout order I believe in tipping but that is too much ask for a refund lady said it was my fault I don't see the option to adjust the tip, after about ten minutes the lady told me I was very annoying and not to come back,she refunded me in cash and didn't what me to return,No Problem I know how hard it is to be a owner of a business, long hours,finding workers the list goes on and if your going to have a kiosk to take out going orders maybe start the tip at 0% instead of 20% or at least know how to do a refund ,and yes you did give me cash return for your pocket you are getting it back from your kiosk, I wish you all the luck with your business read more
