Came in expecting a solid Chinese spot based on how clean and modern the place looks. It's got more of a minimalist café vibe than your typical takeout spot, which honestly had me thinking the food was going to match that level. It didn't. Ordered orange chicken, pork fried rice, and an egg roll. The fried rice was noticeably too salty, which is rough considering that's usually the easiest thing to get right. The broccoli came out cold, which shouldn't even be a conversation at a sit-down spot. Egg roll was the only thing that showed up ready to play. Crispy, flavorful, no complaints there. Orange chicken was... fine. Not drenched in sauce, which I actually liked, but it's labeled as spicy and there was zero heat. Not mild, not subtle, just nonexistent. If it's supposed to be spicy, it definitely didn't make it onto my plate. Overall, it's a place that looks better than it eats. Not terrible, but not memorable either. read more

We've been ordering from bamboo court for years now. It's our go to place for Chinese food and it's always been pretty good. But the recent upgrade has made a huge improvement. My first time there and it was awful. The food didn't taste bad... it didn't have ANY taste.It was awful. All the vegetables were raw. Nothing was cooked. The carrot's were hard as a rock. I had take out here today and was extremely disappointed in their food. I ordered Shrimp Rolls and I only ate one so far, but it literally had just one shrimp in it and it wasn't even large. I also ordered Shrimp Egg Fu Yung, again disappointed, 2 tiny shrimp no veggies, not even onion. The sauce was fine but the patties were strange and not at all what I am used to. Conveniently located in the Fresh Market Plaza on Miracle Mile, I stop in whenever visiting the optical place next door. Today I had the curry chicken lunch special with fried rice and an egg roll. Portions have gotten smaller. Very little chicken in the meal. Fresh and tasty - I waited a few moments while watching the cook make the entree portion of the meal. Fried rice was bland, while the egg roll was tasty. My order was "to-go." No duck or soy sauce, etc. in the bag. Fortune cookie included. Had to eat my egg roll plain. 8pm on a Sunday night and staying a couple of night in Vero Beach. Since I don't know my surroundings I decided to go for a walk and I ran into this place. It's within a small strip mall where the most of the stores are already closed at this time. Since I was hungry I decided to give it a shot. There wasn't anybody inside which was not a good sign. Then I realized that it is one of those Chinese places where people normally order food to go ( I saw people coming and picking up food to go ). Honestly the menu looks exactly like any other common Chinese restaurant with the same Combo specials and even the lunch specials for $6-$7. Since I was near the beach I simply decided to try the shrimp with mushrooms and rice. Food was fine, price was reasonable. Nothing to brag about. I ate inside. They have some tables but nobody waits on the tables. So in summary you won't be impressing your girlfriend by bringing her here, but it will work if you want to order some fried rice or chow Mein while you watch some Netflix in your hotel room. read more

Located in the Fresh Market plaza off 21st street so parking is never an issue. This is great for a lunch-to-go spot. Prices drop a bit during this time & they have a pretty quick turn around. Not really a dinner destination - dine in or otherwise. They have most of the Chinese/Szechuan staples and do a pretty good job on most of the apps & dishes. Really friendly staff. read more

This is one of my favorite chinese places. No, it's nothing particularly special food-wise. They serve the usual dishes. The "restaurant" also isn't the most impressive. A couple cheap tables, and it could definitely stand a visit with a mop. But for the money, speed, and convenience, this place cannot be beat. I love their orange chicken and bourbon chicken. You can generally order combination dishes/dinners for next to nothing that will feed you for several meals. Along with the main dish comes pork fried rice, an egg roll, and (of course) a fortune cookie! In a nutshell: environment on location is terrible, and the food is just adequate for a chinese fix, but the real rating is in the convenience and value. read more

We loved both of our meals! I've been living in Vero for 7 months now and have passed by bamboo court often and figured it wouldn't be any better then the Chinese food at the mall. I was completely wrong! The food was freshly cooked to order, the portions were big and everything tasted great. After I put in my order the lady rung me up and gave me the receipt. In the tip section I thought to myself, why would I tip for mall style Chinese food so I just crossed it out and paid the total. Then I sat down and realized they were cooking everything fresh. I would of given this restaurant a way better score then this but because of my last visit with them I won't. It's ashamed to because I loved this family restaurant. My husband and I went to eat in there restaurant as I usually would always get take out. As we order our food and we got everything and as we were eating I looked up and this boy that was working there was popping his pimples behind the counter it was so disgusting I lost my appetite. The prices are more reasonable then some ofthe others in the area and the food is fresh and attention is paid to special request. Horrible food!!! I ordered the honey chicken combo and the chicken is so over cooked it's not edible as well as the fried wontons and Crab Rangoon. Someone doesn't know how to not over fry. This is really the best Chinese food that I have found since living on the treasure coast. Their cold sesame noodles are just like NY! The food is so good, every time I have to work in Vero, I pick it up and drive back to PSL and Stuart. My husband is very picky and absolutely loves the fried wontons. He gets garlic sauce on them to soften them because that is the way he used to get them up north. He says they are the best. The young lady behind the counter is so helpful, she wanted to help us to the car with our order. Everything we have ordered has been great! Love the egg rolls!! Wish I didn't have to drive an hour to get great Chinese like this! But worth it!! read more

I am new to Vero Beach and was looking forward to Chinese food very much. The reviews were encouraging especially the one from a former New Yorker. Well they must be from Watertown, certainly not Manhattan. This was some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life. The sesame chicken was all breading with no chicken. The spring rolls were also mostly breading with no vegetables. The food was tepid and uninspired. If you like Chinese food please avoid this place. read more

Ehhhh... I used to love this place. But over the last year every single time I order food here I'm disappointed. They shrunk their portions- the chicken teriyaki is literally a bite of chicken- one bite- on a stick. You get three tiny bites. They barely fill the rice containers 3/4 of the way full. I ordered: - 3 Egg Rolls - Teriyaki Beef (3 pieces) - Pint of Wonton Soup - Steamed Dumplings (8) - 2 Orange Sodas Total cost: ~$21 - The Egg Rolls were soggy as if they sat it water (not good) - The Teriyaki Beef - I ate 1 of the 3 (Chewy and under cooked) - The Wonton Soup was good (Bravo!) - The Steamed Dumplings were the source of the major problem...I was on Wonton #4 and as I was chewing I noticed a foreign object which turned out to be the top portion of a soy sauce packet. I was so disgusted I actually threw up! To find something in your food that is not supposed to be there is surprising and 100% disgusting. - 2 Orange sodas were great but $2 each Bottom Line: Beware! Thoroughly check your food before putting it in your mouth. Pay extra attention if you plan on feeding it to your children. Better yet - just go some place else. read more

Ordered take out. It was pretty good but our bourbon chicken wasn't bourbon chicken. It was a fake. I think every Chinese place in Vero has fake bourbon chicken except the Chinese place at the food court in the mall. The prices are very cheap compared to others and who can go wrong with that? We have ordered take out from here for years, and this past week we ordered again to find different people behind the counter. I asked where the other staff were, and they told me they were on vacation. We took the food home and it was not good. The hot & sour soup tasted like egg drop soup, the crab ragoons tasted like onions, the general tso chicken was bland as was my house lo mein. I have read new managment, so I called and asked, very nicely, when the family will be back on vacation, and they hung up on me. Inedible order and instead of refunding my money they hung up on me twice. This used to be my go to Chinese food restaurant and tonight the order tasted like chemicals and was awful. I called and asked for a refund and offered to take pictures so she'd know we didn't eat it. Owner said she could only give us a credit and refused to offer a refund. The owner said refunds are only issued after you get another bad meal and hung up?.. I called back to understand why an owner hangs up on a customer and she said "you don't want credit I don't care."
