MY HOUSE HAS NEVER LOOKED CLEANER!! I was nervous trying to find a cleaning service in my area that was fairly priced, cleaned the same way I do and... I finally found it!!! Carlos & Yolanda did an amazing job, they literally touched every surface of my house. I can't believe it took me this long! My only complaint is whatever they used to clean my kitchen counters (some type of powdered bleach I believe) wasn't rinsed off completely. It felt like someone spread sand all over my counters. I had to take everything off (they don't just clean around things, they actually move your stuff to CLEAN IT) and clean them again with a wet rag. It wasn't a big deal since my kitchen is pretty small, but moving forward I'm going to request they use a different type of product for my counters (the bleach smell was a little much when I got home, but I think that's because it wasn't completed washed off). I was a little surprised when my cleaner showed up by herself when I thought I had booked two cleaners, but even without me calling, the company had a check in and check out time that matched what I had taken note of, and charged me correctly. I like that they charge by the hour, but actually thought it would take much less. The cost is worth it, they did a great job with my kitchen appliances, windows and countertops. read more

I am a little embarrassed to say that I phoned for a service to come and clean my home. Spring is upon us and I haven't had the time nor do I to really have ample time to do a good Spring cleaning. So, I looked on Yelp and regardless of the one star previous review I was going to give this place a try. I booked for an afternoon cleaning. They would arrive anywhere between noon and 2pm. They arrived about 1:30 two ladies and yes they speak Spanish as do I so I had no language barrier. If you do not speak Spanish just tell the receptionist at the office what you want done. I said when booking that I needed a deep Spring cleaning.. ceiling fans, my wood shutters, floor boards etc... She can translate that info for you. However, when they arrived I discussed what I wanted and needed and no problem. I forgot what the charge was per hour and the rate for the two ladies to come out. I hung around for a bit finishing a project. I found it awkward that it took two of them to clean a bathroom. Why couldn't one work on the bathroom while he other worked on another part of the house. Perhaps it's a sort of strategy that they have. Either way they still forgot to clean the vent in the bathroom. However, they did an excellent job in cleaning the floor boards and scrubbing the tubs and toilets. I left my home to run an errand and told them I would charge payment and attach a tip for them. When I returned I returned to a clean home. For the most part they did an excellent job. They did miss some spots and they obviously didn't do the ceilings because I found a spider webs. Also noticed that my windows were dirty.. Well, note this... They only clean the inside windows... But they couldn't even clean the front door small panel of windows.. LAME... My total came out to be with tip $178. When I phoned and asked about the windows Beatrice told me that they do interior only and exterior is done by another company who's rate when I spoke to him would be at least $120.. Sure.. Cus I am made of money... So, I didn't hire him.. I will just do it myself. Would I hire them again.. Hmmm maybe... I did also find their lunch in my refrigerator as well as an empty Tupperware dish soaking so that means they ate on my time. I hope that they were not sitting shooting the shits while they were supposed to be working. read more

The BF and I finally gave in and admitted that, although we are not filthy dirty slobs, we hate certain elements of cleaning and are willing to pay someone to do it for us. I was really looking forward to having the two ladies come over and clean our place, but man was I disappointed after the whole thing was over. First - they were late. We were given a window of 8 - 9 AM, and they didn't get started until 9:15. Not that big of a deal, but still a little annoying. Then, while they were in our apartment, my boyfriend overheard them talking about us smoking weed. Those were catnip toys!!!! Also, we both speak Spanish so let's try to minimize the shit you talk about us while you're in our home. While we were standing in the entryway to arrange payment ($140 including tip), I noticed that they hadn't swept or mopped the entryway and kitchen. What the fuck. Upon further inspection I noticed more and more that they didn't do. They didn't dust a single window sill, they didn't clean a single internal window, they didn't clean the mold in our shower, they didn't clean the water backsplash behind the towels. And Beatrice never called to follow up on how we enjoyed our services and to see if we wanted future appointments. Best advice I can give you - DO NOT use Maid 4 You's services. read more

Sigh. What a disappointment. Maid 4 You is an agency that refers maids for your job. They seemed organized and a little safer than picking a random person from Craig's list. They perform background checks and have a list of maids ready to do any job. Called on Tuesday to schedule an appt. Beatrice and I spoke and we scheduled 2 people to come on Saturday between noon and 2 for two hours. Noon comes and we have the house ready for them to clean. 1 pm rolls around, nothing. 2 comes not a peep. 2:30 I decide to call them and get a recording. I left a message telling them that my appt was 2 hours ago and no one is here and I haven't heard anything from anyone. 2:40 I get a call from someone (who isn't the maid) who says that my maid is stuck in traffic and she doesn't know when she will arrive. She said she was coming from Santa Margarita so I expected an arrival at 3:30ish. 4 PM the maids show up. Neither of them speaks very good English. They did a decent job cleaning but we found lots of spots they missed. They weren't able to finish the house in the 2 hours I had scheduled and by this time it was 6pm so I was kind of over the whole thing. Back to the drawing board... Update: Beatrice called me Monday morning to follow up. I told her what happened and she said my experience was unusual and would "see what we can do about it." She said she would call me back soon. This is my first VERY negative review... if I could go any lower than one star, I would without hesitation. I was moving out of my apartment and really didn't have time to clean everything to the point where I would have had a bigger amount returned for my security deposit. A friend had already helped me steam clean the carpets, and my mom went through and cleaned the kitchen, so I figured that having a maid service just do a final once-over on the place would be a good idea. When I got back to my apartment after they cleaned, I noticed that the maid had thrown out the towels (which were neatly folded and only a few months old), threw out some of my posters that were in a box in one of the bedrooms and pretty much threw out everything without contacting us first. I did not sign anything saying that it was okay to throw away my possessions, and when I called to complain about this I thought the fact that they did this would be taken into account when they billed me $121 later I am fighting with the company because the charge is eggregious--stating it took 4.5 hours to clean a VERY clean apartment, especially when neighbors said they saw the woman leave after about two hours, is ridiculous. If you're going to be home and watching these people like a hawk, and timing them, I think you might be safe, but if you're busy like I am and want to trust them to do a good job without you looming over them, BEWARE MAID 4 YOU. read more

I have used Maid 4 You a handful of times. My first few experiences were excellent. The owner Brian has always been extremely pleasant and helpful with our needs. However this last time I am less than satisfied with the business end of things. I was originally promised the two cleaners that usually clean our apartment. On the day of I was told one was hurt and they couldn't show up. I notified Brian that I had family coming and I needed someone to come out. He told me another team of people would come. I got home from work that night to find nothing had been done. The next day he apologized and told me there was a mix up and that he could send one lady out the next day. I specifically asked him if one person would cost more due to time. His exact words were "no it would not" The next day the lady came cleaned our apartment beautifully. I honestly can't complain about that. But when it came down to check my account I was charged over $75 more than usual. When I asked Brian why this was he told me rates had gone up a bit. First of all you tell me this after the fact after we had a conversation about cost. Then I'm told he needed to talk with the cleaner to find out why I was charged so much. Apparently it took her 7 hrs to clean our little apartment. Two people usually do it in 2 1/2. As a business owner wouldn't you know the reason? My complaint in all of this is. I was originally supposed to have two people. It it's not my fault only one person was sent. I should not have been charged extra for a mistake on the companies end. Especially coming a day later than planned. Brian never once tried to rectify the situation. For that I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Emalia was just terrific!! She cleaned everything so thoroughly, had a great attitude, and was super sweet with my two dogs. She was also super understanding- I was only 2 weeks post-partem, so I was napping whenever I could while the baby slept in her crib in the next room. She would try to let me sleep as much as she could as she cleaned the house (which generally speaking is not a quiet task). She also did some of our laundry and everything I asked her to do she was eager to help with. I wish I could tip her more- she made my post-baby blues so much better by making sure I had a clean home! read more

It was my first time using Maid4You, and it's a plus that they're very responsive on the phone. My cleaning was scheduled for a Friday however, there was a mishap on Maid4You and I understand mistakes happen. Brian offered me a 50% off discount if I rescheduled! I was pleased with that. So it was scheduled for the following Monday and I was told it was only going to take 4-6 hrs to clean the place. But it ended up taking 11 hrs! :( This is not what I was expecting and I was so surprise at the cost! Couple days later I realized that the cleaners didn't even get a chance to clean the stove, stove top, and on top of the refrigerator, and it was dusty at certain places. I told Brian this, and he didn't sound very happy and implied that I was taking advantage. Once he mentioned, I was very unhappy and just decided cancel the service. Very unprofessional. read more

This is my first time utilizing a maid service due to the fact that I was moving into a newly constructed place and didn't own a vacuum, nor did I want to buy one just to clean up all the construction dusts. Brian was very responsive and gave me a fair price for a one person job. Base on my description of the room he told me I'd just need a mini cleaning job. On the day of service Jose arrived on time and was friendly and for the most part did an ok job of vacuuming and cleaning all the major areas. When he was done he asked me to check everything and there was still a lot of dusts on the wall. He went back with his vacuum and took care of some of the area. All in all, I feel neutral about the service, not happy and not satisfied either. I felt like as if I paid for a vacuum service rather than a cleaning service. I had to go back myself and dust off the remaining walls and mop the floor again. I'm a neat freak and dusts and dirt can't escape my laser vision, but I guess the mini service didn't do it for me. unfortunately today was my last day booking with this company! I've had ENOUGH! I have tried to give brian (the owner) the benefit of the doubt, but his staff being late time after time, after time, has wore my out my patience. There is no excuse for making clients wait beyond the "1-2 hour window" (this is not the cable company) u give them a one hour window to get there by their start time. When speaking with brian he said, and I quote, "they're not morning people" I'm the first appointment of the day, so it's not like they're coming from another job. It is their personal lives and time management skills that are interfering with promptness-or lack of. As a business owner, If my employees, or even my delivery drivers were making it a habit being late while my clients wait they would no longer be employees. I was hoping to be a loyal and long lasting customer. I said from the very beginning I would like to be a weekly client. Even twice a week. I would have thought that would have made my morning appointments more of a priority. So if u want to spend your day waiting on the maids, then go for it. But I'm good read more

I have never had a cleaning service come to my home before but I am so happy that I did. I called the morning of and spoke to Brian. Two hours later, there were two ladies at my door! I couldnt believe it since I called under such short notice. I had my two bathrooms and kitchen cleaned and they look amazing. One of the ladies finished early and came back upstairs and started cleaning of my bedrooms as well which was great. This is the first negative Yelp review I've posted. I prefer to give props instead of complaints but this incident needs to be told. I have used this service off and one for several years, and in general, have been satisfied. But last week, our maid broke a very expensive, crystal drinking glass and didn't even have the courtesy to tell me as I handed her a $20 tip on her way out the door. This is the second time this has happened too. The first time, a different maid broke the exact same drinking glass (it was a set of two), and while she apologized and promised to replace it, I let it go. She never did replace it, but I realize accidents do happen, so I didn't call the owner to complain. Apparently she never told him either. But when the second, last one-of-the-set went missing, I called the owner immediately to inquire about its whereabouts. He said he would check and call me back. That was on a Tuesday morning, and by Thursday evening, I still had not received a call back. (Granted there was a holiday on Wednesday, but still, how long can it take to make one phone call and get back to me with the status?) He finally confirmed what I already knew to be the truth--that she had indeed broken it--but only after I texted him for an update. He offered to replace it "if I could find something similar," but I had already told him the set was a 25-year old wedding gift and therefore irreplaceable. Instead, it seems to me, he could have offered to reimburse for the cost of the glasses or at least provide a couple of free cleanings. (When I texted to cancel my service, he did not try to keep my business by offering either of these, or any other, creative options.) The bottom line is that his website heavily promotes the company's great customer service, but sadly, that was not my experience. read more
