I liked my cleaning a lot !!I live close by Lincoln Park and I was very surprised that they can get to me!I requested a lot of things for my cleaning like. I have a cat and around her litter she is a mess! I don't have time to do that daily task and asked them if they can please feed my cat and clean her litter and they said "of course "and they where very polite. They also ofer me if I ever go on vacation and don't have anyone to feed or take care of cat to not hesitate to give them a call or a quick message!I like how they are very pet friendly and listen to your requests .Am very picky with how I like my house clean and they understood everything very quickly and starting doing everything the way I like! Just a couple of days ago I received a direct message indicating I created a "fake profile" to hurt this business. Rosa stated she has texts to prove our date was pushed forward. She attempted to provide me with my real legal name. María Alejandra is my legal first name. (Insert laugh) Maria Alejandra Alex Whatever name listed above is your favorite, but my rating and feedback is the same. I created this profile on the same day this occurred as I was fuming of having wasted my time on this unreliable sub par cleaning service. Nothing changes, Miss Rosa. You never showed up without proper explanation or notice. I posted this on the same day so no other unsuspecting individuals experience the same as I. They did an acceptable job. Definitely did not match the hype I read in the reviews, however. We paid them for a post-construction clean and a deep clean of our house. The former they did well; the latter sucked big time. We ended up re-cleaning it ourselves. The main problem with these two, though, is not the attention to detail (or lack thereof). It's that they always have a comeback response/excuse for anything you point out. Rather than just try to make the customer happy, you get exchanges like the following: Dishwasher's still dirty -- "We don't clean that! Never do!" Oven still has grease spots -- "We didn't want to use anything abrasive to clean it!" And so forth... Just keep that in mind. I'd rather not argue back and forth with housekeepers, so am going to pass next time. read more

Maids around Chicago have been easy to work with and did an amazing job. First off I got a ton of responses from other companies to help me clean my filth studio apartment in Uptown. I needed to move in last minute but the landlord backed out of cleaning the place first. I never dealt with roaches before but I had dead ones everywhere when I moved in. I went to yelp and placed 5 quotes to various area cleaning services. They all were complicated and charged by the hours and extra for stuff. I just wanted to know how much and when can they do it. Marian C. the owner responded with a single price and did zero sales bull. Only downside was she said Saturday would be cleaning day but she had to cancel til Tuesday. It was worth it... My place smells clean and I can actually put stuff in my kitchen now... My oven was GROSS before.. now spotless. Thank you Maids around Chicago! I will come back. Price ain't bad too. I would not recommend. I had a dead spider on my bathroom floor before they came to clean, when they left but that spider was still there. I'll feel after they left all of my own cleaning supplies were missing. And a toilet was left uncleaned. read more

Maids Around Chicago helped me clean the upstairs of my home after a fire. The fire had left no visible damage or soot on the upstairs floors, but I was not comfortable because it was a battery that had burned and I had a 4 month old baby who would be living there, presumably putting everything in his mouth. Because my concern was smoke from a fire, I wanted EVERYTHING cleaned - all bottles etc. wiped down, all paper goods thrown out, etc. Although I knew the risk was not all that great, I wanted the space to be treated as contaminated to be sure that my baby and our family would be safe living in the home. I called Maids Around Chicago at the very last minute, needing a team over the weekend within a couple of days of my call. It had been difficult for me to convey the amount of work over the phone, so the team had to stay several hours longer than they had planned (remember this was last minute on a Sunday!). The three women from Maids Around Chicago worked diligently for eight hours straight in my home to get it ready before we had to move in the next day. They were friendly and professional and easy to work with. After an area was cleaned, they reviewed it with me to ensure that it was cleaned to my satisfaction. Maybe I expected more out of the raving reviews, but my experience with Maids Around Chicago was average. I requested a deep clean for a 1 bed, 1 bath, they swept and wiped through everything once. Total time was an hour with 2 people. Maybe if I was there I could have directed more, but there were missed spots, such as the inside roof of the refrigerator, air vents, and I found random loose things still in the cabinet shelves. When the floors dried, there was still a layer of dirty film. I didn't feel it was a true deep clean and was more comfortable going through those areas a second time. The upside was that the owner was responsive, competitively priced, on-time and both ladies were pleasant. read more

Unprofessional company. Not sure what others are saying on here but this company is horrible. I scheduled them for a Saturday two weeks in advance. At the time they were supposed to show up they ever did. An hour later I called they said they were having car issues and would be there soon. An hour later no call no show. I cancelled them. They did send me a message on Yelp 30 min after they were supposed to be here. I don't have notifications on Yelp so I never got it. The professional thing to do is to call or email me as they had access to me directly by phone. I also tried contacting them 24 hours in advance of the cleaning and they never returned my call or messages. Horrible service read more

All of the inside cabinets were dusty and the stuffs that were left on higher shelves even didn't removed. I don't believe she even pay attention to that. Unfortunately I have to edit my review. It turns out their scheduling isn't very good and they had forgotten about the appt. I have guests coming tomorrow. It's frustrating bc you don't want to have to call to ensure they wrote it down in their books, since you expect them to have their stuff in order. I stand by the first cleaning they did. They do good work, but it seems they are just not that dependable. If you want to go the extra mile to call and ensure they are on their way, than go for it. They do provide an incentive if you write them a good review: cheaper price. Nothing wrong with that.
