I have a small (850 sq ft) 2b2b apartment that vacated and needed move-out cleaning. And, I found MaidsApp on Yelp after requesting a quote to 4 or 5 different Yelp vendors. Elizabeth from MaidsApp not only replied to my inquiry right away, but she also answered al my questions and emailed me an appointment confirmation immediately. Gladys, the cleaning technician, arrived on site the day of, and she did a fantastic job cleaning. She was just a bit late (about 20 min) due to the appointment being at noon and parking being an issue. Not really her fault And, it wasn't a big deal, because she called to let me know once she arrived. The day of, I called the MaidsApp office and they generated a PayPal Invoice for $160, emailed it to me, and I was able to pay very easily by PayPal and tip Gladys separately by cash. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with MaidsApp's cleaning services, and I will continue to use them again the next time my property needs cleaning. For those interested in knowing more about my search, including what I learned about Amazon Home Services, continue reading. --- I originally setup an appointment with Amazon Home Services for $100, which seemed like a great price. But, unfortunately, Amazon just acts as the broker/ middle-man. And, it was a extremely difficult to coordinate meeting the cleaning company at the property. Amazon Home Services kept reverting the service address to my billing address automatically- even though I specified a different location. They are setup for people to have their own, primary residence cleaned- not so much alternate sites. The day of, the tech called and said he was heading to the wrong address. And, he couldn't alter the appointment. So I had to cancel it. So that's when I went on Yelp and searched for quotes for local cleaning services. Dealing with the local vendors directly is more expensive, but at least they communicate and respond. In due time, I believe Amazon's Services will improve and create more competition on pricing. Originally they sent me a coupon for $75 for the initial use of their cleaning services, which expired before I could use it. The second coupon they sent was for $100. But, it's no good if their ticketing system cannot handle alternate sites. I'm sure that this will be corrected in due time. read more

Whenever I am about to leave a terse review, I want to just say that my experience is only one of many. Some people will have better, some will have worse. This is just what happened for me. We were just moving into a new location and needed a deep clean prior to the movers and other contractors. Anita from MaidsApp was one of the only companies to actually respond when I asked for details on the service. After talking with her for a few exchanges, I decided to go with them. The service was arranged over the phone, set for 3pm a few days later. On the day, we prepped the space for the cleaners and waited. 3pm came and went, so I called at 3:15pm and asked for an update. I was told politely that the cleaner (just one?) would be running a little late. I was told 5-10 minutes and she would arrive. At 3:45, still no show. I texted the number I had been provided and asked what was going on? If there were delays, why did I have to be constantly reaching out for information instead of a simple phone call to tell me what was going on? No response. At 3:59, I called to cancel the appointment. No one answered, so I left a message. I received a text at 4:07 apologizing again. They offered a small discount and said the cleaner would arrive in five minutes. Ten minutes later, I got a text from Iris saying she had arrived. Roughly an hour and a half after the scheduled time, our home "deep cleaning" began. Now I want to be clear, Iris did an admirable job. She was alone in a 3/2 to perform what had been described to me prior as a deep cleaning. What we ended up getting was...a good cursory cleaning. She did go extra on the fridge, and we appreciated that, but this should have been a two-person job. I don't hold anything against Iris for the state of things, but the overall job done to the house was not "deep." There was plenty of grime left in the kitchen, and some areas were basically untouched. I am sympathetic to the fact that we are living in difficult times right now, but the customer service provided was severely lacking. If a scheduled time is going to be missed, a simple phone call would have sufficed. They could have asked if 4pm would be better, and I wouldn't have minded at all. The lack of courtesy was frustrating. The level of cleanliness we had after a "deep clean" left a lot to be desired. I think whomever is dispatching needs to rethink sending a single person to do anything in-depth to a residence. Or just don't advertise a function that you are not prepared to meet. Again, Iris did her best and I hold nothing against her. Also, I am just one of many experiences, and your mileage may vary. I have been using this app for a while, and this time they did a horrible job cleaning. I paid for the top end deep clean, and what I got was horrible. Now now one bad cleaning isn't a big deal, but the customer care I got was the real tragedy. I explain what happened and I asked them to make it right and they were very dismissive. I was upset that my floors were left with streak marks, I had to re-clean my floors which was the whole point of hiring someone to clean. Seemed like the maid was in a rush to leave. Maid had her child with her, which is fine, however while cleaning she was stepping over the "cleaned" areas. They did offer a discount but not worth me having to clean again. read more

Got a quote through Yelp for a deep cleaning, all info regarding it being a "deep cleaning" and size of the house was disclosed. Got a quote for $300. Cleaners came out and wanted $450. That's 50% more then previously quoted! Since we were on a tight timeline and didn't have time to look for another company, we agreed. An hour and a half after our appointment time, the cleaners decided to leave and did not want the job. No apologies from the company were given about wasting our time. Beware of his company unless you have time and money to waste! If I could give zero stars I would. In response to the business owner, that's absurd for you to state "post construction conditions" when you never entered the home. What I told you was that we just had the walls newly painted therefore that was one less thing your "cleaners had to do". As far as sending a replacement team out, you stated that it was not guaranteed that you could find someone. Please understand that at this point we already wasted an hour and a half, and sending a non-guaranteed team out would take how long? Response to your reply: In regards to the message we sent that evening, we had only looked in the master. It was late and we were going straight to bed. We noticed the poor work in the kitchen the next day, and had to clean all of it before unpacking. As I explained to a women I spoke to on the phone on the 2nd (the phone number Edgar called us on several times: 818-478-0333), after the service received we would be declining having them return and requested some sort of financial reimbursement. Obviously, the tip is on us. I was promised a call back with what would be done and have not received that phone call. Date service received: Saturday, July 1st. Service under the name Kayla and/or Brian Chase. The sole reason that I am even giving two stars at this point is because they provided same day service on a long holiday weekend and the price wasn't outrageous because of it. I will say that the main reason we hired outside help is because in pregnant and didn't want to expose myself to chemicals all day. To clarify, the house was fully EMPTY and already "clean" to a certain point, but we needed attention to be paid to heavily used areas and for it to be sanitized. First off, Heidi and her husband gave us notice that they would be 30 minutes late to their appointment. Appointment time was 2pm, and at 3pm I was told traffic was awful. They arrived just shy of 4pm and started work right after we explained what we wanted. We have a completely empty house, it's a move in cleaning, we want things dusted, cleaned, and sanitized. Paying special attention to hard to get areas, crevices, baseboards, door frames, knobs and handles. And the bathrooms and kitchen being the main focal points. They kept us at the quote of 220, and we promised a very good tip if they did everything we asked. Our first problem was they finished the master bedroom and bathroom and mopped the floors before we could check the area. We told them to let us walk through before mopping next time, and they agreed. My husband just walked in frequently and checked over the work, asking for a re-touch here and there. We were very calm and patient about getting and expressing what we wanted. They understood this. I will provide a list of what was missed/poorly done, even after asking them multiple times to go over it again: Behind both toilets, medicine cabinets, all baseboards and door frames, the toilet sides (including pee stains), outside of bathroom cabinets, inside of refrigerator, inside of cabinets, outside of kitchen cabinets (most notably, the handles on the doors), and light switches. All of these things took us an additional few hours to do ourselves. Let me note that they were here for just shy of 6 hours. An hour and a half of that time spent in the kitchen. By 10pm, we knew the time they spent in the kitchen and didn't closely inspect it. We handed them 100-120 dollar cash tip and said goodnight. I'm SO very disappointed in the work we found they did! I couldn't believe that even after telling them several times what was important, they missed it. I wish we walked through to closely inspect everything before handing them their tip. Other than the time spent, it was completely undeserved. I could have done the work they did in 2 hours. I feel like they were just taking their time and just making it smell and seem clean when taking a quick glance. I called and left a complaint, refused to have them return (the work was already completed by this time) was promised to hear back from them, and haven't heard anything yet. read more

Insert maidsapp with Anita replying so promptly, not to mention my crazy nightshift schedule. Anita was able to send Maria the next day and voila, Maria took care of our house (see picture) she took the clutters away, and cleaned all the surfaces then arranged back my stuff neatly organized. There was a stubborn stain in the bath tub that I can't seem to get rid off, magic eraser, clorox, everything, I feel bad for Maria to work on it because I know how hard so I told her it's okay don't tire yourself out, but still she did it and was able to get rid of the stain, Maria is such a nice person I love how she works! I had previously written a 4-star review. Setting up an appointment for my rental unit was very smooth, Anita is very responsive and polite. The cleaning lady was very polite and sweet. I was given one cleaning lady and I felt like she got tired and gave up towards the end because there were missed spots. I felt bad to point them out. I didn't want to look like the rude/annoying "hey you missed a spot" guy. She cleaned up the spots and I gave a tip (silly of me). The next day I noticed there were a lot more spots that she missed. The ceiling fans were still covered in dust, the doors were not wiped and there were big stains left on the wall. I told Anita, she apologised and sent the same cleaning lady back and she cleaned up and was polite about it. I had decided to wait til after Christmas to rent out my unit. So the other day I went to put in two new blinds and noticed even worst. I saw cat fur and all sorts of weird cat debris left in the window frames, sticky stuff left on the walls. The bottom kitchen cabinets were covered in old stains and the other blinds that I decided to keep were covered in oil stains. I just felt so annoyed. I contacted Anita and sent her photos but because it had been past 30 days she was not able to help and I responded that I understand and I won't post these photos but I will have to take down my 4-star review. I was able to get the kitchen cabinet stains out myself just by using 'Rocco & Roxie Professional Stain/Odor Eliminator'. The more I was on my knees cleaning, the more annoyed and angry I got. I was annoyed I didn't do a thorough inspection before but why can't I just trust that they did a good job and that's it? It's such a headache. I paid $140 for 3 hrs with one cleaning lady. I think in future they should send two cleaning ladies instead of one as it's a lot of work and one needs to take a break, stretch, have a snack whilst the other continues. read more

Paid $300 for them to clean my mother's house and I am so disappointed. First, the cleaner asked to use OUR cleaning supplies (our vacuum cleaner, window cleaner, paper towels). I texted the number of the MaidsApp person who scheduled this cleaning to ask if it was normal for a cleaner to use our cleaning supplies and no response. Second, she sped through the clean so that she can get to her next appointment. We asked her to wipe down all the windows and the bookshelves in our sitting room and she said she will. I have been swamped w/ grad school, interning, and young children. I also have fibromyalgia (chronic pain and fatigue), so cleaning has been neglected- at least the heavy stuff. I have stacks of stuff I am trying to organize and sell- it's a mess. I was very clear about this in my request for a "deep cleaning". Here is exactly what I requested: "I need more of a deep cleaning. There is clutter that needs to be worked around but nothing has been mopped or dusted in a couple of months. The shower needs super-scouring. Wood floors. 1400 sq ft. 1 bathroom 2 bedrooms." *EDIT* * to be clear, there were stacks of toys and kid clothes I am trying to sell/organize. Also lots of art supplies around, but I specifically asked those areas to be left alone or worked around, they weren't included in what needed to be done and did not block what needed to be done. - this stuff, which I mentioned in my job-request, was not a surprise and was not asked to be moved or cleaned in any way, so it's not a valid excuse for the other areas which I had requested to be cleaned, getting left dirty.** I expected a team or crew of people because most of these cleaning services do this. I was quoted $175 for what I requested and offered same day service, which I accepted. One woman came to clean. While she was nice and prompt, she was one person for a large job. I told her the bathroom needed the most focus but I also wanted the house clean as a whole, all the floors mopped and surfaces dusted, etc. She worked really hard in the bathroom and did a great job with the shower. She then started the floors. She said she wouldn't have time for the dusting or cleaning the kitchen or bedrooms, etc. I was confused that the job would not be done as quoted. She said she only works 3 hours for that price. I was then really disappointed because I had almost hired another company for 3 hours that sent 2-3 people teams for the same price. I didn't hire them because there was a week wait. I guess it's my fault for not making sure there would be more than one person? --But, I assumed when I was quoted a price to complete the job, that it would include everything I requested. I messaged the company and they responded quickly, had the woman stay 30 minutes longer, so at least the floors would get washed. Again, the woman did a good job and worked hard and steady, I tipped her very well. But I don't feel I got what I paid for. As I had been in a bad accident the week before and was struggling with concussion issues and pain, I just took the hit and didn't complain further. I'm only giving this a 3 star review because Gladys did a good job on cleaning my place. Being the newbie that I am to the cleaning industry, I called last minute to several house cleaning companies to try and get my condo cleaned out. I'm renting it out and needed a good deep cleaning. I had called several places on a Tuesday looking for a Thursday clean and I swear EVERYONE was booked, except MaidsApp. I got in touch with MaidsApp on Wednesday. The owner picked up my yelp request and answered promptly. She said a deep clean for move out on my 668sq ft condo would be $150 but she could definitely get someone there the following day. That felt like a lot but I was desperate so I agreed. I have also come to find that this seems to be fairly reasonable. A few more back and forth yelp messages and I stopped receiving replies in the late afternoon. My last question was whether they accepted credit card. She never responded back but she had already confirmed my appointment so I figured it would be fine. By 10AM on Thursday I stood around waiting for someone to come and no one showed up. No one called. I was impatient, so I waited all of 5 minutes and called the owner to make sure someone was coming. She answered right away and said something about a payment. And I asked if someone was coming, since no one was there yet. She said she would call me back in 2 minutes. Fifteen minutes later she called back and asked if the maid had called me. When I said no, she said, "she's running a little late but she'll be there in about 20 minutes. Can I have the credit card payment so I don't have to call you back?" I was totally shocked. Your employee hasn't even showed up on time and you want a payment? I said that I would wait til she showed up. Ten minutes after that, Gladys called me and said she would be at my house in about 20 minutes. So she got to my house around 11AM. I'm a stickler for punctuality. I don't mind if people are late if they give me a heads up. Time is money. And honestly, I'm pretty busy. I can't spend my day waiting for vendors to show up. With all that said, Gladys worked her butt off in my house. She CLEANED. The condo smells fresh and I was happy with her work. I think the office needs to give bigger time frames to let these people do a good job. And if your maid is going to be late to her job, someone should call that client to give them a heads up. read more

The WORSTTTTT experience ever. I booked on their janky app. The app put in the wrong address. I called the office to get it corrected. Minutes later it was cancelled. Then I got a text saying that someone could come out later that day. Ok cool no biggie. I rearranged my scheduled to make sure I'll be home. The time comes and The lady they sent out told me she's in a big van and she can't find the appropriate parking. I told her that there's guest parking and she can even take my spot because I was leaving shortly after letting her up. Kept going outside to locate her and she's nowhere in sight. It literally takes an hour of her barely answering my calls and going back and forth with her via text (Terri, a bit rude by the way) to find out that she's at the wrong address and she's over an hour away! No one at the office answered my calls or texts regarding this issue. I don't even know if I'll be receiving a refund. I would not recommend whatsoever. Although the crew did a good job for a deep clean, they ended up ruining the marble bathroom sink countertop. I had to call a tile service company and that resulted in a $250 bill. So my $200 cleaning service ended up costing me over $400. I reached out to customer service and until this date, I have not heard back from anyone. So that's why I'm giving this service a 2 star. Customer service is not the best when it comes to problem resolution. I don't think I will ever use their services again. read more
