Our guy Makoa made the trip amazing as he took us deeper and farther through the ranch all the while sharing jokes, Hawaiian folklore, cultural insights, and stressing the importance of respect for the land. Added to the 3hr UTV deluxe tour are extra stops at some of the key movie sites that you dont get on the standard ride (like boneyard, and Jurrassic World Indominus rex pen). We are a family of three, and I guess that's the cut off from other reviews. We showed up to the meeting spot at the time we were told and were met by our guide. Come to find out, the other people booked for the tour had cancelled, so it was just us! We got on our boards and got going. We learned so much! And being it was only our little family, we got to ask so many questions and go at our pace. We paddled around and got to go under water falls. Our guide was so kind and so knowledgeable. After we were done we were super hungry and headed to L&L for some plates. A beautiful and relaxing way to end a lovely day. Many people will rave about Greg's super cool telescope - and it IS indeed awesome. We saw planets, galaxies, and wonderful stars during our time together! (Most impressive - we saw the rings of Saturn in ways I've never seen before!) I would argue that Greg's coolest tool is his *laser pointer* - which feels like it's from ~the future~. Greg's laser pointer has the unique ability to light up the night sky and point out all of the stars, contestations, planets, and more. Why is this so impressive? Because it eliminates the "old fashioned" way of star gazing - where someone says "do you see that one thing next to that other thing?" Here, Greg literally whips out his lightsaber and shines it into the night sky - and you see EXACTLY what he is talking about. It makes the stories much more enjoyable. And it makes you feel much smarter, too! I enjoyed Greg's stories about space - and his inclusion of Hawaiian star terminology. I would not recommend this activity due to the number of injuries we sustained. The multitude of…read morecircular staircases was never mentioned. I climbed more on this zipline system than on any other I've ever been on. They mentioned rappelling but there was no rappelling instead it was a safety descent rope to get you down from 2 platforms. The rope bridges weren't for fun. They were there as purely functional to get you from platform to platform. They say your feet don't touch the ground for 2.5 hours. Instead it should state you will be walking or standing for over 2 hours. It was a very tiring zipline and the ocean view was very distant. Not at all like advertised. JT did not control stops. He led to injuries for everyone in our group. To JT everything was a joke. I have a huge bruise on my shin from the first landing. I asked what I did wrong and they said nothing. Well, I did something wrong or the guides did something wrong to have hit so hard and immediately form a huge bruise. On the next run I came in so hot (fast) that I hit the block at a high rate of speed and knocked it off the platform and bruised my toe and cracked my toe nail. The impact coming in to the brake was very painful. JT said "Oh, that happens all the time". Kicking a block at a high rate of speed and causing injury to someone's foot shouldn't happen all the time. My daughter bruised her hand coming in while holding the handlebars. And has a serious bruise on her toe from the landing. Probably another misplaced box or hot stop. The most scary thing is that my son cut his eye when he stood on the box after the landing. He cut it on the metal breaking devise. He was wearing sunglasses and that saved his eye. His eye was cut and bruised and he now has a black eye. He was directed to a first aid kit which as his mother I cleaned and help with compression until the bleeding stopped. The guides didn't even pause to render aid. No analysis of what happened to make sure it doesn't happen again occurred. The block placement and the way we were brought in, I almost hit my eye on the metal brake when I unwillingly went to TJ's line on the last run. Silva is very good at her job. I didn't have an issue when I was on her lines even when I got twisted and came in backwards. Katie is meticulous, friendly and excellent at making you feel comfortable. I tried to reach out to someone at the company but no one would return my call. I received a call a week later and he was very apologetic and said he will look into the situation and make sure everyone stays safe. I appreciate the call and the follow up.

The tone and treatment we received also made us uncomfortable as Asian guests. After sharing feedback, the company clarified in writing that they do NOT advertise or position this as a beginner-friendly snorkeling tour. Based on both that clarification and our experience, I would strongly recommend that beginners or families looking for clear instruction and attentive guidance consider other operators.
