The owner was always good to me, even threw in a few card for free out of nowhere, which was exceptionally cool because they were 1968 Atlantic Oil Pepitone and Tresh I believe. I got great prices on everything I purchased. For everyone complaining that the owner won't match eBay prices .... This isn't home Depot! Do you message every seller on eBay that doesn't have a card for sale at what you consider a fair comp and complain to them? First of all a brick and mortar card shop has wayyyy more overhead than your average eBay seller. That being said, the atmosphere on eBay, especially with modern stuff, is to sell it as fast as possible, which usually means a lower price. Card shops aren't always in a rush to dump their stuff at a lower price. These guys have been around for decades and know the importance of being patient to maximize the return on their investments. Comps especially on newer cards literally change every week, especially if it's during the season, so of I owned a shop I wouldn't be basing my asking prices strictly from eBay comps. I've got no loyalty to the owner and I'm sure he doesn't even remember me because it's been so long, but leaving a less than favorable review over not matching an eBay price is ridiculous. That actually impacts his business negatively, and I can assure everyone that the dozen times I've made the trip to sports heroes,I was treated with great. The owner wasn't pushy, him and his son were sorting a box of vintage behind the counter or just doing their own thing. I spent time browsing through the off grade boxes they had at the center of the store ,( not certain if they're still there) they weren't looking over my shoulders. Even got into small talk on several occasions about cards and my Yankees. I have been a collector for 37 years now, and I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone. Hope to be back soon!

I purchased it over the phone,…read moreand was told to call 24 hours before I wanted to pick it up because it was "still in storage, not yet unwrapped by the store", and they would need to retrieve it. When I found the same boat much closer to me I called them to cancel my order and they charged me a "restocking fee" for a boat that had not yet been brought into the shop, or unwrapped. The fee I had to pay, over $260, is the charge when someone buys a boat, takes it home, and then returns it. I can understand a small penalty for "making" them write up a sales slip, but this was excessive.

The range officer was very helpful and enforced safety. The staff is always polite every time I go, and they have some nice gear and products for sale as well and the price for lane rentals are some of the best. I pray that all gets taken care of and that they re-open soon. I was looking forward to going back soon. Most reviews I see on here are positive so I hope whatever happened gets resolved and that everyone and the business is ok.

The process of buying a firearm is painful anywhere but I didn't feel rushed and was patient during the checkout. My 1st vist was during Covid and the shop was busy but the staff helped me take my blue card test, pass it and helped me decide to purchase my S&W Shield 2.0. I returned after recieving my Blue card and went home Happy. The price was fair and I returned to by more ammo and a gun safe. Highy recommend.
