I ordered two spicy sliders and they did not disappoint. They were truly spicy but still juicy, flavorful, and well balanced. The chicken was cooked perfectly with a great crunch on the outside and tender on the inside. The fries were just as good as the sliders. They had a great texture, crispy on the outside and soft inside, with excellent seasoning that did not overpower the food. The side sauce they serve really elevated everything and paired perfectly with both the sliders and the fries. The overall experience was great. The food came out fresh, hot, and clearly made with care. If you are someone who enjoys bold flavor and real spice, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. My first time trying this place. I ordered the 15 piece wings and crinkle cut fries. The wings came with a choice of 2 "wet" sauces. I requested bbq (worst bbq sauce I have ever eaten) . The sauce tasted like a poor blend of ketchup and some other indistinguishable flavors. The sweet teriyaki was just ok. The crinkle cut fries, which I requested extra crispy, were also some of the work tasting fries I've ever gotten from a fast food joint. Tasted like they may have been made first thing in the morning and sat under a heat lamp most of the day, not at all crispy. I had high hopes for this place, but was sadly disappointed. We visited this location during their grand opening when everything was 50% off so we tried the cluck it up fries, dirty mac fries, chicken tenders, and bird wrap. I'm completely obsessed with the dirty mac fries - not only is it an absolute steal, but it's a crazy large portion and every single component is delicious. I end up eating this over 3-4 days and to put in perspective how great this place is, I've had this menu item 3 times now and they only just opened a few weeks ago. I docked a star because their bird wrap is pretty terrible. The lettuce is soggy, and I'm not sure why they use ranch instead of their comeback sauce. I went for their grand opening, and got a free slider. I also ordered their waffle fries, crinkle fries, and mac and cheese. Everything was really tasty, but since I got the free slider, I didn't get to choose the spice level. It was a medium (I think) and for me, it wasn't spicy at all. We ordered the dirty Mac half cheese sauce/comeback sauce with extra chicken (still barely any chicken) and the slider meal with hot honey on one and come back sauce on the other. The Vibe: very clean and decorated nice in a black and red motif with some edgy murals on the walls and a big sign proclaiming that their chicken is "Hot AF." Guy behind the counter friendly and helpful. Neon open sign was off and a secondary open/closed sign said that they were closed, but they were open on a Tuesday at 12:15 PM. I was the only customer which is a bit of a bad sign. Looked like the drive-through had some cars. A few people came to pick up orders while I was there. The tenders: I got the two tender meal. The tenders were large and juicy. I was a little concerned they might have been undercooked. You can choose from five different levels of heat which are applied in a dry rub. I chose the "mid" and I could have gone hotter. In battle tender, Canes wins. Crinkle fries: Main Bird's crinkle fries were crispy and the best part of my meal. They were excellent. Only two little ketchup packets provided. This round goes to Main Bird. Toast: I love the Cane's buttered toast that comes with your meal. Even better if you get it buttered on both sides. The Main Bird version is plain white bread toasted on one side. Each tender sits on a piece of bread. Some of the tender seasoning had soaked into the bread. It was good. I ate both pieces. Winner: Canes. The sauce: Cane's sauce is legendary. Main Bird's "comeback sauce" is a dupe of the Cane's sauce. It tasted pretty close and looked to have more black pepper. Main Bird gives you one for each tender in your order. Canes can be a little stingy with their sauce. But, Canes is better. Winner sauce:Canes. Pickles: Main Bird tenders each had a couple of pickles on top. I like pickles, but didn't try these. They looked house made. They were bright and fresh. Since Canes doesn't offer pickles, MB wins this round. My drink: I asked for iced tea and was told they only offer fountain raspberry iced tea or a sweetened tea in a bottle which was not displayed anywhere. I consider this a mortal sin of Texas restaurants. In Texas, you have to have brewed iced tea. Main Bird had the equipment to brew ice tea, they just don't. I went with Dr Pepper from the fountain which was totally watered down. Canes has iced tea. Main Bird's hours said they are open to 4 AM seven days a week. This seems great for the late night crowd. I'm usually in bed much earlier. All in all, not a bad experience, but probably one that won't bring me back. Will probably drive a little further to go to a Canes. read more

I had been forewarned by a friend that the chicken wasn't very spicy/hot at all really...and he was right about that unfortunately. First off, I was welcomed when I walked in and asked if it was my first time here. I ordered on the kiosk and went to get a drink. Unfortunately, the soda machine was broken. I paid $3 for a fountain drink and was not told until after it was broken, which is kinda shady. Instead, I was given a bottle drink. When the food arrived, it was all room temperature to cold. It seemed like I was basically handed leftovers and not something made fresh. Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant.
