Ordered takeout burgers, fries, drinks, and sides. One Burgers had no onion when it should. The sauce on the single had no flavor and the presentation was... looked like I sat on it. The fries were decent and Onion rings were good and big but pricey, the brisket Loaded Elote Cup was grease filled and pretty disgusting. there was no creamed corn. It looked like somebody dumped half a can of corn into a bowl of grease, and then threw shreds of meat and covered it with some cheese. It was just really not appealing, filled with major grease -see pic. I expected something better and felt ripped off. This will be my last review this year and would love to review Mad Dogs for those who have a hankering for a hot dog at any point. Now, my love for hot dogs is not deep. Nor is it a constant. Maybe 3 -4 times a year with me only actually getting one twice a year. Maybe. Just not the first thing I crave when I want a cheat day from my daily calorie deficient diet. I have decided the older I get the less I should eat because losing weight becomes hard. I digress...... Mad Dog has a variety of beef hot dogs, I forget if they are halal- if they are, great- with imaginative toppings. For instance, they have an elite dog tiped with elite corn. It looked delicious but I definitely had my eye on something else. They also have a Philly steak dog which is just that. A hot dog topped with Philly cheessteak, white cheese and peppers and onions. Okay, they use their imagination and the hotdogs are original. Now me, I go back to the basics. A hot dog topped with chili and cheese. The chili cheese dog folks. It is huge, hot, and delicious! While they have fries and other sides, I would argue the hotdog alone is sufficient unless you have a big appetite or you are sharing with another person. The hotdog had that wonderful snap and was juicy and so tasty. The chili was nice and they really put it on there. I'm not the biggest fan of cheese hut sometimes you got to put it on there and the cheese was good quality. Really really tasty. I'll be back in a few months. Come check this place out!!! Today, I decided to try this place out. Order a pick up on Door Dash. On my way there, I got an alert that the food was ready. I ordered the mad dog, Philly dog and chili cheese fries. Once I got there, the food wasn't ready. There was only 1 guy working. There were 3 other uber drivers waiting on food as well. The kitchen was a complete disaster, I thought about cancelling my order. There was Clorox cleaning spray on the counter, boxes, just all kind of stuff. Anyway, the guy brings me my food, I check it....EVERYTHING was cold! The hot dogs were so salty, there was no way I could eat that. I've been coming here for about 2 months now, at first when I use to come in everyone treated me with respect. Now when I come I get mean mugs for no reason, I even walked in the store one day to see that the manager and the black girl who works at the counter whispering and looking at me, which made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I usually get mean mugs from the black girl who works at the front for no reason at all, not sure why and I do not care. I just come in, order my food, eat it and leave. I don't bother anyone but the staff here decided to make my experience at Mad Dogs a bad one. Tonight, I'm actually under the impression that the black girl who works at the counter spit in my food. I can't confirm it, It just weird that the sauce looks watery and has small bubbles it, idk but I've never noticed that before. The black guy with the Muslim cap and black glasses is a pretty sneaky dude just like the black girl at the counter. He doesn't greet me specifically when I come in but he does with everyone else. The same as the black girl at the counter, tonight she greeted me but she noticed that she did it by mistake and did not realize who I was. Also when I order my sandwich is doesn't come out like it used to. I wish could have took a picture of the before and after. Crazy how a public place for eats will treat you if they do not like you. I've eaten at Mad Dogs twice. This time I got the brisket dog. Texas is known for beef brisket, so I had high expectations. In short, this was a dissapointment. The main problem is that the dog is heavily covered in BBQ sauce. In Texas, proper BBQ does not reqire heavy sauce because the BBQ can stand on its own. The brisket on this dog was lacking in any smoke and in that regard it was bland and uninteresting. Any good aspect the brisket was lost under the heavy sauce. The other parts such as the dog itself and the bun were also lost under the heavy sauce. I would not buy this product again. The service was generally quick and friendly. The dining room was generally clean. I like the kiosk ordering system. One problem with this location is the harsh, harsh white lighting which lacks a pleasant and inviting warmth. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are are nice and respectful. I had the chili cheese dog and it was pretty good but I would just recommend they use better chili seasoning so that the chili taste more like that classical chili taste you get when it's homemade. Instead of cheese sauce I'd rather they put a lot of actual cheddar cheese instead for better taste. I especially like the Soda they have, taste better than Coca Cola or Pepsi. I didn't try anything else besides that but with a few improvements I mentioned they'd be perfect. My boyfriend and I both had their smash burgers. For some reason they didn't put the onions or pickles on his burger, and I asked for no onions (and they did leave them off) but they left off the pickles too. The guy who helped us had left the building so no one was available to talk to (except the cooks in the back). We went ahead and ate our burgers as they were. He had a double and I had a single, both with cheese added, and they were EXCELLENT, even without the toppings. The fries were very good...hot and crispy! They put their "smashed" sauce on the burger which was very tasty. The only thing I did not care for was the Dublin Classic Vintage soda. The guy who took our order said it tasted like Dr. Pepper but it tasted like cough syrup to me. Would definitely try a different drink next time. We both would definitely visit again.
