I've heard people say that this is the Mills 50 district, but it's actually pretty far west on Colonial. It's an a non-descriptive shopping mall. The people that worked there were super nice and very helpful. Inside is really cute with brightly colored furniture. I will say that the food is a little expensive. If you ask for all flats, it's a dollar more. I got the soy garlic chicken, snow onions, French fries, and a coke and it cost $27. I have heard others say that it's better than Domo, I don't agree with that. It's good but it's not that good. There's no onions are interesting. They're really thinly sliced white onion with dressing. That's very similar to poppyseed dressing just without the poppy seeds. The cheese french fries came really highly recommended so I got those. They are french fries with a cheese dusting on it. I did not like those at all. They have a weird sweet flavor and I didn't finish them. The snow onions with this white garlic chicken is very good and if I ever go back, that's what I'll get again.

My friend saw this place on social media and wanted to try it. We went on a weekday evening, and it had a decent steady stream of people. This is a counter service spot with a lot of options. The chicken come primary in three ways-- wings, tenders, and drumsticks. They don't offer whole or half chicken. Right now there is a promo for popcorn chicken. The flavor options are plentiful as well, with some needing an explanation. Besides chicken, they also offer fish and calamari. There's a variety of fried sides available as well and even rice and pickled daikon, all for an extra charge of course. I ordered the garlic soy and curry wings, while my friend ordered the cheongyang flavored drums with some rice and daikon. The chicken did take sometime to cook, but it gave us time to catch up, so that was fine. Mine came out a little faster, but barely, but I'm sure they timed it that way so we could eat at the same time. The texture on my wings were incredible! They possessed the perfect quintessential crispy crunchy texture of KFC. The curry wings had a lil bit of a kick to them. Both sauces were very tasty. The wings were a decent size as well. My friend did not enjoy his drums as much. The sauce was creamy and a little sweet, which he didn't know. I thought it tasted good, but I preferred the sauce on the wings. The drums were also not as textured and crispy as the wings. While probably having more meat on the drums, I preferred having more of that crispy coating on the wings. As for the sides, the rice was overcooked and a bit mushy. Boo. Overall nice place. I don't like how you get charged extra for two flavors or if you want daikon. You can ask to taste the sauce if you're unsure, so please do so. They offer some lunch combos with fries and slaw so make sure to check those out if you dine early.

Great fried chicken! Store is pretty cute with plenty of seating cause they have a second floor. They played k-pop (oldies but goodies) which I was jamming to. Fried gizzards - These are so tasty. They have a slight crunch and chew in addition to the crispy batter on the outside; very fun texture and tasted great with the Cheongyang sauce we got on the side (it's a mayo based sauce with mild green pepper kick to it, 1 chili pepper). Chicken wings - Juicy , soft, and crispy even when sauced, just like korean fried chicken should be. The soy garlic is classic, a savory and sweet mixture. The spicy garlic I would pass on. It was pretty spicy (2 chilies) but had a fruity taste to it that I can't quite identify. However, neither of them were very garlicky to me. Especially the spicy one where the spice and fruit taste covered up any garlic taste. I would love to get the wings with the Cheongyang sauce if I ever go back. It does take some time to get to you but that just means it's freshly prepared for you ensuring your food is fresh and hot. Just enjoy some kpop while you wait.

There are a lot of Korean Fried Chicken joints in the Houston area...but where to go? 92 Chicken meets and exceeds all expectations for a kfc joint. Not that kfc. Having been to a previous location in the Cypress area (which unfortunately closed down) I was happy to see there are still 2 locations out there. We ordered the 10pc wings - soy garlic and 6pc tenders - honey garlic. The tenders were OK...but the wings...fried to perfection, sauce was excellent, wings were a great size. No complaints with the wings. The service was great, wasn't too busy for a Friday late lunch. Keep in mind the wings are cooked fresh ordering so expect a little wait time. Clean restaurant, there is an upstairs for a little more quiet area. Will be back!

I've heard so much hype about 92 chicken and wanted to advantage of my friend's fried chicken birthday surprise party to try it out. They are a relatively new Korean fried chicken spot in Houston and are known for their big sizes. I ordered their 10 pc wings, which allows for 2 flavors. I ordered on the website so I could just pick it up and leave. I decided to get the soy garlic and curry flavors. After driving 35 minutes back, the chicken was still warm. The soy garlic has a slight sweetness, and the chicken had so much meat. The curry flavor lowkey tasted the exact same but I think it's because the soy garlic is a wet sauce and had a puddle at the bottom of the container. I could still taste the subtle curry flavor and it was pretty solid as well. Although expensive, the sizes of the wings are huge and most importantly they taste good!

I've had better Korean fried chicken and the service was lackluster. It also takes them 30 minutes to make the chicken so just be prepared to wait.

An excellent Korean fried chicken place with great food and stellar service. They've done a good job with the space by having a loft area - pretty cute! Showed up on Saturday for an early dinner and there were already a few tables of diners. There was only one two-top left but it only had one chair so we opted for the counter. The owner noticed us lingering over the table and said if we wanted to sit there she could bring an extra chair for us. Surprised and grateful she was so observant because I couldn't go up the stairs due to an injury. We both ordered 10 piece chicken with two flavors each. I tried the curry and honey garlic and both were 5/5. The curry really tastes like curry! The cook and fry were 5+/5, really reminds me of Choong Man Chicken - super crispy, juicy, and flavorful. I usually prefer dry rub instead of saucy wings but don't mind it here because the sauce doesn't make the wing soggy. The water dispenser had some lemon and lime slices, which was a nice touch. Halfway through our meal, a big party came in for a birthday party. They were trying to get water for the entire table, and the owner again jumped into action by getting them a few pitchers for the table. Quite interested in the rest of the menu (fish and chips!) - can't wait to go back!

Stopped by on a Saturday evening after work, wanting something to go. The restaurant is small, but homey. I ordered the soy garlic and curry chicken wings. They make them to order so it took about 30 minutes for my order, but it was worth the wait. The wings are a good size, thick and juicy. The crust is nice and crispy and the sauce was great. Good flavor, unique options, I wish my stomach was bigger so I could have tried more of them. Even my mom, who's really picky, agreed that it was really well done. It is a little on the expensive side but I suspect it's probably normal pricing now with how bad inflation has gotten. Definitely will need to come back to try more of their options!

I was in the area craving Korean fried chicken and found this place. The memory of KFC in Seoul haunts me and I want some! 92 Chicken has been open about 4 months. You need to come check them out!! It had great ambience and friendly owners. I love the small touches like how they had their water and utensils set out. I started with the golden cheese fries. They were perfectly crisp and hot, dusted with that craveable cheese powder. The only problem was how not to eat them all and fill up before my chicken came! There was a little wait for the chicken because, remember, I had the amazing fries to snack on . Plus ,I knew they were making everything fresh and it hadn't been sitting there which I very much appreciated. When you're craving KFC, over ordering is the result lol. There are too many flavors to choose from. If you get the 10 pc, you can get 2 flavors. 6 piece meals come with 1 flavor. I got the wings in original and the tenders in soy garlic and yangngeom. Can you tell how crispy they are? So yummy. The yangngeom is a sweet and mildly spicy flavor. Everything was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more flavors. KFC craving successfully satisfied.

Stopped in for takeout around 4:30pm. Wasn't too busy, so was able to ask for recommendations. Was told I needed to try the Curry and Soy Garlic - say less! It's tough to find a true and delicious Curry seasoned wing, but this spot nailed it. The Soy Garlic was also amazing, not too salty that the garlic doesn't come through. Portion sizes were great for the value. I could've easily split the 10 piece with someone - solely got the bigger amount to try out the sauces. I believe you're only allowed 1 sauce/flavor for 6 wings. The wings were very fresh, hot out of the fryer. Wait time was around 15 minutes, but worth it! The ambiance was fun - they played Kpop videos in the dining room. Plenty of seating and parking as it's in a plaza. 10/10, would return if in Houston!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! The quality of the chicken is amazing. You know these are really made and the service is great cause you know they are cooking them fresh in the back. The sauces are made fresh to order. It's not quick but that's how you know you're getting quality. Great location and clean and you can watch Korean Asian pop bands. Great staff and food!!

This is my favorite Korean fried chicken spot!! If you've ever been to the now closed Choong Man Chicken or the old 92 Chicken, the chicken here tastes exactly the same! But now the interior looks much nicer and more modern. There's also a small upstairs area that you can sit at. Starting off with the service, we were greeted with a warm welcome as soon as we stepped in. The 2 ladies that were there helping us were so friendly and sweet. There were some new flavors that they didn't have at the old location, and they let us sample the sauces before deciding what to get. We ordered: - Garlic spicy wings - Red hot wings - Curry wings - Cheongyang wings - Curly fries The wings here are my absolute favorite! They're big, sooo crispy, sooo juicy, and came out piping hot. My favorite flavor is the garlic spicy, and it did not disappoint! It's garlicky and spicy (obviously), but also sweet. The wings had the perfect amount of sauce on them, but if you want, you can also ask for the sauce on the side. The red hot wings and curry wings were also very good. The spice level for the red hot wings definitely creeps up on you, and then lingers. The cheongyang wings wasn't my cup of tea. The flavor was very sweet and creamy. Overly so in my opinion. According to the menu it's supposed to be spicy as well, but I didn't really taste that. But this was ordered by another person in my party, and she really enjoyed it. Lastly, you can't go wrong with the curly fries here. They're crispy and seasoned well.

My first experience with authentic Korean Fried Chicken and boy, it was worth the wait. Family owned business, an Intimate, and rustic ambience, with a cozy loft which can be reserved. Orders are freshly made therefore expect a 15min wait time. The Wings.... The batter was very well seasoned, texture was light, extra crispy mouthwatering crunch with every bite; despite the crispy exterior, the meat was tender and very juicy. Do you know what was also amazing - no messy crumbs! Quite a variety of flavorful sauces available including sweet, tangy, spicy and savory. Also available are beef bulgogi dumplings ... yum. Total for 10 wings & 1 order of dumplings (6) =$30. Highly recommend. #amazingwings #supportsmallbusiness

I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

Think of a japchae flavored Tteopoki dish Dumplings (Mandu) - they gave us the option to pan fry or steam, we chose to steam! Did not try, cannot rate ***2x assorted meat platters (enough for 6)- worth the quality of cut and preparation, done tableside. Each different platter was done beautifully, and grilled tenderly. The marinade was well done on the short ribs. **banchan- my favorite was the pickled radish and cabbage kimchi. Not a lot of variety compared to other places, but each dish was done very well. I didn't really care for the potato salad. * doenjang/soybean soup: maybe it's just me, but it was very salty. Not my top choice of soup regardless. **kimchi-jjigae : very solid kimchi stew. The right amount of heat to pair rice with well but it's so rich. I could only have a couple bites to the end of the meal. ***hotteok with chocolate ice cream. It's a simple dessert and done very well. The cinnamon and sugar come out balanced very nicely with the chocolate. Service: So attentive and fast ! Staff was very respectful and quick, on par with fine dining. Had to wave over some folks to request another order or utensils and they were on it. Kudos.

The service was a little slow at first, but I saw the owner of the manager come out and make sure everything got taken care of so props to him for being aware and making sure all the clients were taken care of. Food: everything we had was simply amazing. The beef fried rice was made to perfect perfection. Every single bite was so good. You can tell the use quality, beef here and quality rice. The fried dumplings were amazing. Every bite was so good. Last the chicken dish I can't remember the name of it, but oh yes, maybe it was called bolugi chicken? It was so good, had a very good spice to it. Every single bite was amazing. You can tell they use quality ingredients here. We will definitely come back. We enjoy this meal. Great job team. Keep it up.

The service was good, and the food was okay for what it is. The standout dish was definitely the LA Galbi. It was flavorful, although the portion size felt a little small for the price. On the other hand, I would not recommend the Spicy Pork Bulgogi. The meat had a mushy texture and was not enjoyable to eat. One downside was that there were quite a few flies inside the restaurant, which became pretty annoying during our meal. Overall, it is a good spot if you are looking for a quick meal to satisfy your Korean food craving.
