Our Supper Club's outing this month. There were 14 hungry, discriminating adults and we LOVED it. From the hummus, yogurt, Eggplant dip to all the meats, the rice and saffron-pistachio ice cream and Persian tea. Very attentive service as well. Please go and support them.

When first driving up we were a little apprehensive since it's in a shopping center with a very unassuming sign. Once we got inside we were greeted by the most pleasant owner and the ambiance was so nice! We loved everything about this place! The owner was so sweet and showed us some new items we would not have gotten otherwise. My husband is Iranian so finding a good Persian restaurant is always a plus! He said the bread tastes just like it does in Iran! the beef was so delicious and the rice had tahdig which you don't find often in restaurants. The hummus was very good also but I would suggest getting two for the table if you have more than 4 people. This is definitely a must try and add it to the list of amazing Persian restaurants in Houston! Shall I say maybe even better than Rendezvou!?? Yes!! We will definitely be back!

It was phenomenal! It tasted like somebody's grandma prepared their secret family recipe and threw in some love at the end.

I heard this halal spot had recently opened and I was excited to try it. I came in on a Saturday evening. The parking lot had plenty of room, and the restaurant had several open tables. I was promptly greeted and seated. I was brought a plate of warm bread as well as feta cheese and herbs while I reviewed the menu. I ordered the listed special, the kase kabob, which consisted of beef koobideh, chicken chenjeh, and beef chenjeh. Ambiance: The restaurant was a little dark, and I think it would have benefited from having better lighting. The tables were clean, and also sturdy! I don't like eating on a wobbly table. Food: I appreciated the thought behind the presentation of the rice with tahdig. However, the presentation could have been improved by using a smaller plate. I am also not sure why the restaurant wanted to present the kabob in a bowl instead of putting it on the same plate as the rice. The tahdig was not crispy enough, but all of the kabob options were tasty and seasoned nicely. Service: Everyone was friendly and attentive. However, there was some confusion when it came time to pay the bill. The receipt had a QR code, that allowed me to pay for my meal. I scanned the QR code, immediately paid, and started to leave. However, one of the staff followed me outside because they thought I didn't pay, so I had to show my receipt. In the future, I think the restaurant could eliminate the QR option since it doesn't seem like they use it often. Value: Overall, I thought the meal was expensive. The meal cost $27 before tax and tip. While the kabob was very good, I would have liked to have more than two pieces of chicken. When I ordered, I was under the impression that the portions would be larger. The other meals seemed to be a bit more reasonably priced, so I would recommend for people to order something else.

I got the Kashke Bademjan, Kase Kabob, Fesenjan, grilled vegetables and extra bread - pickup order. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, very clean and the staff were very nice. The portion sizes were very nice, I will probably be able to make 3 meals out of what I ordered. The only thing I don't think I would order again were the grilled vegetables. When ordering online, there are a couple of extra items on the online order form that is not on the online menu, so I would suggest also looking at the online ordering form if you are wanting to check out the menu as well. The beef koobideh and beef chenjen were so favorable, I would highly recommend them. Overall, I will be putting this restaurant in my regular rotation.

Saw a new Persian restaurant so I had to check it out. Plenty of seating and parking during the week. They added some nice renovations and touches from the previous tenant. Service was prompt as we were one of two tables seated in the restaurant. I ordered the koobideh kabob and it comes with tadigh which was fantastic, however, the rice wasn't that great. The Koobideh wasn't bad but was missing something.. I ordered a side of gormeh sabzi to try it out and I wouldn't order it again. Hot tea was good, and came in cute cups. Value wise- it was pricier than it should have been. Other similar restaurants in the area provide larger portions for less money and also taste better in my opinion... I'm hoping to return in a few months and maybe try something else.

This was a very cool hidden spot. It's tucked away at the back corner of the building and easy to miss if you don't look out for it. My navigation actually didn't get me to the right spot, which is a shame because this place is great. I came in on a Thursday night and was able to find plenty of available seating. It's a very clean/nicely decorated place. It had beautiful white marble(?) everywhere and great artwork. Definitely gave a nice ambiance. They had one front of house person running the whole show. You can find the menu by scanning the QR code taped to the table. It takes you to a menu where you can order but orders are taken by the waiter. It was a little confusing system but they took my order quickly enough. The food came out really fast. I was pleasantly surprised by the service. The waiter was friendly and asked if I enjoyed my rice when I left a little at the end. They initially served me a small salad with spinach, feta, and radishes. It was a little different than what you see elsewhere and I liked it. I ordered the lamb shank which is one of my favorites. It's a tricky dish because it takes a long time to make. The lamb itself fell off the bone and was well cooked. I'd give it a 7.5/10. It was served with rice which was different than what I've had at any other restaurant. I thought it was very interesting especially since it came with an interesting crunchy top. It paired really well with the lamb shank. I saw a few people around me order different types of kabob. They looked and smelled amazing. I think I will come back to try those in the future.

    Great starters!

I came on a Friday night and there was a long line. When I looked upfront, I realized why. There were only two people working there. But they were holding it down!! They were working hard to get everyone's order. I got the two piece dark. It took a little while, but it was worth it! Even though I ordered two, they gave me three - maybe because they were closing soon. The chicken was so hot and crispy and juicy!! And omg the hot-sauce! It was really good on the chicken. Also it comes with a jalapeño which I drizzled over the chicken. I also had greens and a roll to top it off. Delicious! Can't wait to go back :)

To be honest the service is slow and at times they're rude and don't wanna do their job. One of the only positive things I can say is that even though the service is slow, the food comes out hot & fresh. I would hope so since they're not busy. My to go orders are usually the 3 piece campus with either mash potatoes, red beans and rice, collard greens & dirty rice. Or I'll get their 3 piece catfish. Sometimes I'll get the dessert (peach cobbler & sweet potato pie). While the chicken comes out hot & fresh. There is zero seasoning on the chicken itself. Not even a pinch of salt. They rely on the batter for flavor. Don't get me wrong the batter is salty & delicious for my palate but the chicken is so bland. Collard greens are uninspiring & boring but edible. Mash potatoes taste just fine but their gravy adds a layer of flavor. Red beans and rice once again, flavorless & they always give you one measly piece of sausage. Their dirty rice is a little dry but not bad. Now for the catfish I actually enjoy it. The batter is the same as their chicken & the fish itself is moist and juicy. The desserts feel like it's store bought and not made in house but it's bearable. Overall, this location ain't it. It's located next to a gas station & the area itself isn't safe. The inside of the restaurant isn't clean either. Lazy & rude employees don't make it any better. If you want some good Frenchy's go to the one on 3rd ward. I would frequently go there but that's no where close to my house so I have to settle for this location. I hope they make improvements before they shut down.

This time I called in an order for tallarines saltados and two whole chickens for my family. They told me it would be ready in an hour, which was fine. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner handed me the food and casually said he replaced my tallarines with lomo saltado -- without asking me first. He said it was "a better choice" and that they were out of tallarines. I told him clearly that I did not want lomo saltado, but he kept insisting, so I just took it to avoid arguing. When we got home, the real problem started -- both chickens were undercooked, tough, and hard to chew. It was so bad that I told my kids and family not to eat any of it, and I ended up throwing everything in the trash. I paid good money for this meal, and we didn't get to eat at all. My family and I walked in and immediately I was curious why on a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was not busy. Although the food was delicious, what was lacking was the service and communication. We arrived at the restaurant, and they had two other tables that were enjoying their lunch. We were their third occupied table. We looked over the menu and ordered with a young gentleman server. After we ordered, I noticed another customer came and sat right behind our table and they ordered as well. I'm unsure whether the restaurant prioritizes online and takeout orders, but throughout our visit, the kitchen continuously brought food to the pickup window while servers packaged to-go orders. What made the experience even more frustrating was that a table seated behind us received their food before we did, even though they had arrived after us. When the food was delivered to the table behind us, one of the staff members appeared surprised and gave me a look that seemed to acknowledge we had been waiting longer. By this point, we had already been waiting 35 minutes for our meal. Later, the staff brought out bowls and spoons, so I asked our server how much longer the wait would be until our food will be serve. She responded, "About 10 minutes," but did not provide any explanation for the delay. After I asked about our order, I noticed the staff member relayed my question to another employee. This left me even more confused, especially since it seemed they were already aware that we had arrived before the table that had been served. In my opinion, the servers need to be trained better and communicate with their customers. Making fun of customers behind the host/cashier stand because I asked a simple question is not ok.

First, I noticed that the staff handling food behind the counter were not wearing gloves. Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.
