I was picking up the DoorDash in the drive through. But it made me come inside and the order was not ready.I could have waited in the car. The food I will be judging a later time.I have not here. This is for a customer. The environment looks pretty clean.

Back for the 3rd time and got the Hungry meal which is 7 strips, fries, 2 pieces of toast which is a piece of bread cut diagonally and a drink. It comes with 2 sauce and we got the slim sauce and the honey bbq. The slim sauce has a sweet finish like it has sweet relish in it and it's a no for me. This is my second time having the honey bbq and it's my fave so far. The bread is like a garlic toast and so good and the strips were pipping hot! Everything was good

Established was clean in the outside inside and restroom (only hot water) to wash hands, but I been to several establishments and water was the same there. We order two chicken and waffles chicken strips were tender not crispy and waffle was a bit crispy next time will ask for less crisp. Also order a chicks meal 3 chicken tenders, Texas toast looked like (normal bread)and fries- fries were good and not hard with honey mustard sauce.chicken club sandwiched was well cooked and seasoned veggies we're fresh ate it with honey mustard. They had. Variety of drinks I recommend the raspberry or peach tea. Chocolate chip brownie was a bit dry and the red velvet Oreo jar dessert was good a little too too sweet I think with out the Oreo it would be better. Customer service was A+. I would go to this restaurant again and I'm sorry but they're better than Dave's chicken around the corner.

My waffle was burnt and I'm positively sure someone knew before they put it in the box and handed it out the window

Meh. Glad I finally tried it, but a little disappointed I passed up the Chick-fil-A in the same shopping center for the new try. CfA is always a sure bet. Immediately when I entered, an employee (who seemed to be the manager judging by her blue polo verses the black polos everyone else was wearing) was on the phone (SPEAKER PHONE, that is) talking very loudly with what seemed to be another coworker about a mystery shopper who had been in the store. A mystery or secret shopper is a type of market research that uses a shopper to act as a true customer to evaluate the customer experience in-person, over the phone, or online. She was telling the other person she couldn't believe the mystery shopper was real and said she looked like a regular person THEN went onto to say the shopper looked like a low life. I am seriously surprised the woman didn't catch my looks of disapproval and annoyance. Talk about terrible customer service and not handling things professionally! I ordered my meal with another associate and made my way to the drink counter. They have sweet tea and lemonade. Mixed them both together and made myself an Arnold Palmer - which was pretty good. The blue polo shirt speaker phone lady was still going on but this time something about bonuses for her employees. She finally hung up as I was getting seated. My tenders meal arrived to my table in a timely fashion. The tenders were piping hot. I could tell they were "made to order" as their murals indicate. I chose ranch, garlic parmesan and gravy for my dips. The ranch was very good. Nice and cold plus full of creamy flavor. The garlic parmesan was like cold lemon herb sauce which was terrible. The gravy was lumpy and had no flavor, even after I added black pepper. The tenders themselves were pretty good. The coating is minimal, so they weren't greasy. The Texas toast was bland, and the fries were basic. Not impressed with the meal at all. 3 stars is more than I should give. As I am sitting there trying to make the meal the best I could, blue polo shirt speaker phone lady came back out to help a customer who walked into order. Mid order, she took her lip balm out of her pocket and applied it liberally to her lips then completed the order. I was floored. I can't understand how this woman is a manager. That is so bad to do in front of customers. She just though a mystery shopper was bad. Does she have any idea about reviewers who reach a bigger audience?! This is when I wish I wasn't such an observant person. Speaking of observant. I noticed the only car in the parking lot close to the store never moved while I was dining. I was the only person in the store until the man walked in 20 minutes after me. I saw him park near me in the extended area parking. With that said, who was parked there? An employee?? Those spaces should be saved for customers. That's customer service 101. All in all, I am being generous with my 3 stars. Will not return.

Nice to see the menu is available outside

I got hungry after seeing my acupuncture doctor. Right before I hopped on the road, I saw a new restaurant. I remember before Slim Chickens was Carl's Jr. After CoVid pandemic, this building was boarded up until last year. Once I saw the new sign, I knew it's gonna be something good. Location is not just everything, but the food offer and variety are also big parts of a successful restauranteur. I know Slim is not reference to a figure but a person's nickname. Because it offers southern comfort food. I was reading the menu from the QR code that I scanned in the parking lot. I thought I still need to interact with the human, I'll just ask for a recommendation. Cashier was really friendly and knowledgeable. She read my mind on Waffle and Chicken. I'm newbie to this dish. I never knew what's the proper way to eat this. I started eating chicken, then eat the waffle with butter and syrup. The chicken strips were so tender and fresh. Waffle was soft - perfect for my old man's bites. I wasn't paying too much attention to my food because I found some interesting reviews on Yelp. Oh, the ice teas were made with freshly brewed tea. I tasted when they were lukewarm. The sweet tea was real Southern tea. Yeah, I'll be back for the sandwich.

Chicken Club Sandwich and Chicken strips. Better than Canes and Chik-Fil-A

Never thought I'd review a fast food place but this place deserves it. Out of all the fast food chicken spots Slim Chicken has some of the best tasting chicken. Definitely better than Canes and Chik-Fil-A. Their chicken strips are way better seasoned than canes and they have a large variety of sauces for you to choose from. Their slim sauce is great and so is their mango habanero sauce. Their fries are better seasoned than Canes and Chik-Fil-A as well. I like their chicken sandwich way better than Chik-Fil-A, the herb ranch mayo or whatever they put on it makes it taste way better. Not to mention slim chickens is better seasoned. The only thing Canes has that's better is their texas toast and Canes sauce. Otherwise than that Slim Chickens is way better. I don't understand why they aren't more popular. They're priced better than Canes and Chik-Fil-A too. Only thing I think they need to improve on is sometimes the food isn't fresh/cooked to order but neither is Chik-Fil-A. Only chicken place that I feel really cooks to order is Canes. If they fix that consistency issue they're perfect.

    Slim Chickens Classic

After seeing many reviews on Yelp for this Slim Chickens location, I decided to try it today for lunch. It's very close to a Chick-Fil-A which I think is tasty... but not a great value for the $$$. The restaurant is clean and the people are friendly (and helpful) when you place your order. I ordered the Classic which is 4 tenders, fries, garlic toast and a drink. I also had Spicy BBQ sauce and Korean BBQ sauce. It was fantastic! The chicken was hot and freshly cooked... same for the fries! The garlic toast was great but the order is filling so I left a piece of the bread behind. I recommend this place for certain. Great food and a great value.

Oh the chicken, what a delicious bird! As Katt Williams once said the pure existence of the chicken is just proof that God loves you! I couldn't agree more. In the heart of Westheimer, Slim Chickens, the fast food chain, is here to bring you all types of items with God's most delicious bird. This includes bowls, burgers, sandwiches, wraps and chicken strips. I've been to the Katy location, and had a delicious experience, so expected nothing less here. The staff was descent, just a bunch of teens working the front, typical of many fast food joints. For the most part, the restaurant also seems pretty clean and is spacious on the inside. Typically, my go-to at Slim Chickens is one of those delicious Chicken Mac & Cheese Bowls (whenever they are in season), however this time we decided to go for something different. We went for a Club Sandwich with fries, the Smokey Wrap with fried chicken tenders (you have the option of choosing fried or grilled), fountain drinks, and some world famous Strawberry Cheesecake in a mason jar. All was absolutely delicious, as God would have intended. This place can even give Chick-Fil-A a run for their money. They have a wide array of fountain drinks as well, and delicious sweet tea to chose from. Their desserts are well recognized, and served in a neat mason jar with the slim chicken logo on it (a sharply dressed chicken, ready to serve you the best). Its always a good time here, a must, and all at a good price as well!

Instead, it is about the way we were treated by the hospitality manager, Kryssalyn Bayne. Our party consisted of five people, including a 97-year-old senior citizen. When we arrived, four of the five members of our party were present, and there were no guests waiting to be seated. However, Ms. Bayne was focused solely on the fact that one member of our party had not yet arrived. She informed us that other guests had been seated because they had called ahead, although this option had never been communicated to us during any of our previous visits. What was most concerning was not the seating policy itself, but the manner in which we were treated. Ms. Bayne's demeanor was loud, confrontational, and, in our opinion, disrespectful. We had all just come from church and were simply trying to understand the restaurant's policy. When I politely suggested that she lower her voice, she responded by accusing me of speaking disrespectfully to her staff, despite the fact that I had not spoken to anyone other than her. Grace's has always been known for its hospitality, which made this experience especially disappointing. I believe the front-of-house staff, and particularly those in leadership positions, would benefit from additional training in customer service, de-escalation, and professional communication. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of the circumstances. Unfortunately, this interaction overshadowed what should have been a pleasant meal and family gathering. We were seated at Table 14 & served by Mr Lewis who was a breath of fresh air. The food was good despite the entry.

We began with the cast iron cornbread, Cajun poppers, and chargrilled oysters, and every appetizer was packed with flavor. The cornbread was warm and delicious, the Cajun poppers were a standout, and the chargrilled oysters were cooked perfectly. For our entrees, we ordered the shrimp etouffe and the filet and frites. The etoufee was pretty good, though not my favorite. The filet was tender, perfectly cooked. Even the cocktails were delicious! Everything we tried was memorable, and the entire meal exceeded our expectations. I would absolutely return and highly recommend Eunice!
